I called Aloma Jancy for my blocked male cat. I had to wait 5 hours for an open appt (life or death). Once my cat was seen, they determined he needed catheterization. $600 and 48 hours later, they released my cat late in the evening. Once home, I noticed my cat was still blocked. I called AJ as soon as I realized this. Rather than getting a 'bring him in right away', I was informed the next available appointment was 4 hours out.
Needless to say, I called a different vet who did say 'bring him right in - we will work him in to our schedule'. This vet asked what the previous vet's x-ray results were since this is a standard test for this type of issue. Aloma Jancy did not x-ray my cat so I had no results to provide. The new vet found stones in his bladder which would cause blockage again.
The good news is my cat survived the inadequate care from Aloma Jancy and is now receiving the treatment (surgery) he requires. The bad news is that I was taken for $600 by these guys.

I was extremely pleased with my first experience here. From the welcoming voice on the phone as I made the appointment to the kindness of the tech, and the thoroughness of Dr. Pilip which made my visit very satisfying. The doctor took the time to answer and explain all my inquires regarding my cat. Then when checking out, I received a surprise senior discount which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Aloma Jancy Animal Hospital.

Doc Murray is the best vet ever - truly a St. Francis! Yes - he has been extremely overworked for years in the old building, had some bad staff experiences (which business doesn't???) & some personal problems but he is truly dying inside by not being able to practice. I know in my heart & soul that he has corrected all he can for the past wrongdoings & the animals need him back at Aloma Jancy! Other vets there in the new building are good but no one compares to Doc Murray. I don't care that he made some mistakes & there was a "down" time. Who hasn't done that in their lifetime? I had my share. I don't believe he would EVER intentionally hurt or injur an animal - no way. He deserves another chance so he can share his gifts with our animals! Rock on Doc Murray! I & my pets love you & can't wait for you to be back working in the office!

Please do NOT take your pet here! I was treated poorly by the staff and Dr. Murray, the owner and chief vet of Aloma Jancy Animal Hospital. The treatment was of questionable quality, my bill was handled poorly as I had to twice have them revise the bill for extra charges that were not supposed to be there. Then they refused to provide any medical notes besides illegible handwritten cliffnotes by Dr. Murray, even though my pet died in their care. They refused this request repeatedly and Dr. Murray even got on the phone to yell at me once while I was speaking to a receptionist. Unprofessional all around in my opinion, and I urge you to research other reviews online, you may hear similar complaints. Also you will find an F rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Dr. Murray is hands-down the most dedicated and knowledgeable veterinarian in the Greater Orlando/East Orlando/Oviedo/Winter Park/Casselberry area...possibly the state! His staff is warm and caring, their new facilities (built after their old office was damaged by the 2004 hurricanes) is beautiful and spacious and clean, and he is 1000% dedicated to his animals, even living in a home behind his clinic. He is also extremely warm and patient with the pet owners, carefully explaining every treatment and offering options to fit one's budget. I've been taking all my dogs and cats to Dr. Murray at Aloma Jancy Animal Hospital for over a decade and trust him and his staff completely with the care of my pets. Thank you, Dr. Murray and Aloma Jancy Animal Hospital Staff for all you do!

I think all the positive ratings are from his staff trying to counter acting the negative feed back that this clinic is getting. I am a professional veterinary shopper. I took my pet in, we waited 4 hours to see the vet. I will never bring another one of my pets back here or recommend anyone to take there pets here.

I came in tonight as a first time client. Right away, I was greeted by the receptionist who was very warm and friendly. Within minutes, I was escorted to a beautiful exam room equiped with its own tv, clean table, and lovely decor. The veterinarian, Dr. Everrs, came in immediately, shook my hand, and began to address my pet's issues. He is friendly, genuinely concerned, and a great listener! I never have had such a good experience at any vet hospital ever. Every possible issue was addressed, and I was provided with a solution at a very reasonable cost. I will be back. This is a great place to bring your animals. They truly care!

The hospital was very smelly. Unlike clean facilities. The wait was over an hour and then I did not see the vet at all. I waited for 2 hours and 20 mins before we started anything! The staff was rude and the doctor was very pushy, rude and non concerned. I would tell anyone to do there research and look up this place and the doctor. You will find alot of bad reviews, even up to lawsuits. Hope this helps.......

Murray is clearly invested in his work and has a clinic unlike any other that I have been to. He has incredible hours of operation which is helpful and he takes the time to explain what he is advising. He has a sense of humor and broad range of abilities including sketching your dog while he outlines a treatment. I liked that he explained a more healthy tx for heart/flea/tick control than what I was giving my Weimaraner, Franklin. I have never met a more animated, likable vet in my life and he certainly loves animals. I cannot for the life of me understand the neg comments here, but no body is perfect and we all can make mistakes. My bet is on Murray, however, to do the right thing with my dog. I am now one of his regular customers. Staff were friendly and professional. The facility was very modern and the value was apporpriate to this area.

We have taken all of our animals to Dr Murray, including my brothers pit, who had gotten into a fight with our other pit. Dr Murray took wonderful care of our Heidi, she had to stay overnight but came home the next day feeling 200% better, this bill was 485.00, very resonable. I have been there with a friend whose dog was ill and would not eat and have seen Dr Murray get on his hands and knees pretending to eat the dog food to get the dog to eat. Dr Murray has done surgery on my friends Pug, which are difficult to put down, as we have lost a pug during surgery last time. Our baby Daisey came out wonderful, she is happy and healthy. The only bad thing I can say is we had one bad experience with a staff member but she is not there anymore and once we had to wait a couple of hours to see the vet but he had several emergencies come in and my situation which was upsetting to me since my baby was hurt was minor. A dog had come in that had been hit by a car who needed surgery. Thxs DR M

Dr. Murray saved my cat's life after another vet told me, "You'll need to put him to sleep, and be quick about it, because he's in a lot of pain." Thank God I got a second opinion! After emergency urinary tract by Dr. Murray (I was ushered directly in upon arrival), my cat was far more active and healthy than he had ever been. Most of my pets are either abandoned/abused or feral, so they haven't exactly been model patients, but the Doctor and staff have bent over backwards to care for them and make them comfortable. Everyone at Aloma Jancy has been professional, knowledgeable, kind and friendly.

First I would like to say that ANYONE who thinks Dr. Murry is not a great Vet is CRAZY!!!This man works day and night helping anamils. He LOVES THEM & THEY LOVE HIM. I have taken all 7 of mt cats to him, my ferrets, and my late bloved dog spotty. He was great with all of them. I have never known him to mis a beat when it comes to the care of a anamil. When he had the small old little Office, he was still the BEST VET IN ORLANDO !! With his NEW STATE OF THE ART OFFICE HE IS STILL THE BEST VET IN ORLANDO. This man lives and breathes pet care. Even when he is sick or tired He is healing anamils. He also does so much chairty work and helps people with money problems, that anyone who says he is in it for only the money is just Crazy!! I know of people who love in Palm Bay that bring their pets to Dr. Murray. If You have apet and you live in Orlando You should be seeind Dr. Murrary. And I am not a friend, or relation, just a happy customer.

The brand new facility is absolutely gorgeous...clean...well put together!! The new staff members are kind and professional. Dr. Murray and Dr. Evers are both wonderful compassionate veterinarians, and I can already see the difference in improvement. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone here in Orlando.

Greg Murray and his staff know their business. The receptionist took accurate, detailed notes of what I told her about my dog's problem (it was a walk-in semi-emergency situation late Sunday night), and an assistant proceded to do exactly what was needed, notating meticulously the reason for what he did. The notes were left on the examining table for the doctor, so I had a chance to read them. I was impressed with the professionalism and the knowledge displayed by the staff. Foxie liked everybody too, and animals are highly perceptive about people. Greg Murray was a delight, bounding into the room, diagnosis in hand in the form of a textbook with pictures that looked just like Foxie's condition. However, he was not content to just make a quick diagnosis and let it go; he explained the possible extent of the condition that could not be immediately apparent, and suggested testing. Again, knowledge and expertise won me over, and Foxie was very comfortable with him.

Had a dog with a wound that would not heal, drinking and peeing constantly. He said it was a spider bite, took no bloodwork or anything. Gave the wrong treatment until the dog was taken to a different vet. It turned out to be diabetic. I didn't know at the time, but the wound that would not heal and the thirst and peeing are classic symptoms of diabetes that any first year vet student should have diagnosed. If he had taken bloodwork, he would have seen this too. The dog almost died. Worst vet in Orlando. STAY AWAY!!!

Be very cautious with this clinic. Dr. Murray will often say he has an 'emergency' or is in 'surgery' Also, they have misdiagnosed many cases that wind up at other veterinarians when the owners finally want a second opinion. If you cannot afford veterinary care, I guess cheap is better than nothing, but it is well worth your money to go somewhere else and save the heartache of losing your pet to poor medicine

After adopting a puppy with Parvo and Pneumonia, many days/nights were spent at this vet. Thankfully now, he is healthy. I have mixed emotions about Aloma Jancy. I can say that Dr. Murray cares for the animals, just that hes overworked/understaffed. A few employees are wonderful and very compassionate, the rest leave MUCH to be desired, rude and without concern for others. Not exactly ideal during your pets crisis. The office is unorganized & I never left with paperwork or followup appointments. Medications are dispensed at the office & many times were not labeled right or not labeled at all. It was difficult to get the right information. If you called with question you either waited or were told to call back. After each visit, our puppy was infested with fleas & ticks. FRUSTRATING! During an evening visit, we were shocked at our puppy’s poor appearance. We asked if this was normal for the illness and in response were treated as if we had accused them of neglect. Be wary.

Misdiagnosed my dog and prescribed the wrong medication. The facilities are not adequate. The office looks run down. The staff is not friendly either. Requested a follow-up about my pet's results and no one returned my call. Would not use this vet again. I am not pleased with their service. This must be the worst vet in Central Florida.

I have had nothing but bad experiences at aloma. I always feel rushed and unwelcome. The office is dark and grungy. Besides all that I went to aloma for about 3 years, about 6 months ago i took my golden in to get his routine shots and he ended up with a bacterial infection that has now left scars on his back(and not to mention an extra $200). After that I decided I would not return there. I now go to East Orange Animal Hospital and am very happy with them. Since going there they caught and fixed an underactive thyroid and my dog has now lost 13 pounds in 2 months and is more active and happy than he has been in years!!! Aloma never thought to check his thyroid even though he was severely overweight with no known reason. I fear for anyone who uses Aloma Jancey and will never recommend them to anyone!! They could have killed my dog with the infection and if his thyroid problem wasn't caught he most definately would not have lived a long healthy life. DO NOT GO TO ALOMA!!

I was astounded to see such bad things said here about Dr. Murray. He saved my dachshund's life with an emergency c-section, and may I mention it probably cost HALF of what any other vet in the area would have charged. They take animals at all hours. I live half an hour away, and still bring all my animals to Aloma Jancy for the "big" stuff. I trust Dr. Murray = that guy must work 24/7 because I know he drives all around on the weekends doing the low-cost vaccinations as well. Don't let the small clinic put you off - they're finally building something bigger.

Dr.Murray is one of the most experienced and versatile vets around. I first met him at midnight with an emergency after 6 other vets had turned me away.He personally answered the phone and told me to come right in. That was 18+ years ago and he has been my primary vet ever since. When my horse tore half her face off on barbed wire he was the one who came out at 3am and repaired the ghastly wound. When the winter park emergency clinic turned me away on christmas eve because I didn't have cash for an emergency c-section he is the one who left his family and saved her and the pups lives. I have dozens more instances I could tell you about the way Dr. Murray has helped the animals under his care. After over 20 years of service to the animal community with low cost alters, vaccines and emergency services don't let a few grumblers dissuade you from using this vet. With his love for the animals and vast experience Dr. Murray is the guy I want when my animals are in need of life saving care.

I had 2 experiences with this clinic/ hospital. My first experience was very disapointing. On my job as a meter reader, I happened upon a pit bull tied to a tree. She had a leg hanging that was obviously broken, and was at leat a month old.I approached the owner and they let me take her. I took the dog to Aloma-Jancy since it was directly off the 417 and near my home. The receptionist said they refused all strays. I told her I would pay $200. up front, and she said, "If the dog has a broken leg it is going to cost more than that." I left and went to the next vet office, with Dr. Rubinstein. I walked in without the dog ready to be turned away. I told the receptionist, and she came around the counter and said "let me help you get her in here". Never was money mentioned. My latest experience was an emergency and I went there because it was sunday- nobody there- nobody answered the phone- 24 hour hospital.

I went to this vet and he showed more compassion toward my pet than any vet I have EVER seen in my life. He literally works 24 hours a day to make sure the animals are treated and he never turns a sick or injured animal away regardless of $. If he was only concerned about $ he would have had a new hospital a long time ago instead of just now being able to build one. He is the BEST! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I had a horrible experience there. The doctor cares more about his $ than the welfare of the animals. In addition, the facility is very old and dirty. The staff was very rude. Their night "emergency" clinic is understaffed and no doctor was there to take care of my problem. I will NEVER go there again!!
