Not crazy about Dr. Maier, but I do like the other Dr. who comes in Tuesdays and Saturdays, she is very nice and cares more about helping the animal than she does charging you an arm and a leg- unlike Dr. Maier.

Dr. Maier is the worst vet I've ever seen. I was looking for a vet who handled rats.I took my hairless rat to her because he had a lump that doubled in size in less than a week. I told her the growth was soft and movable and from what I've read these are 2 sure signs of a cyst. After doing a 30 second exam and not ever aspirating it. She informed me she was almost certain it was cancer and I should do a close to $400, surgery ASAP. I assumed she was right and scheduled it. Yesterday I noticed a small black scabby area on the lump.This was another indication of a cyst or abscess. I called to tell her what I found and that I didn't want go through with the surgery due to the current change. I asked her receptionist to please have her call me to tell me why she would put a small animal like that under anesthesia without being certain it was needed,and how to proceed from here.She never had the courtesy to return my call.Obviously her concern is the bottom line not the animals welfare.

This is a great place for you and your pets. You will enjoy the pleasant and calm atmosphere and the reasonable prices and your pet will enjoy the visit and be on his or her way back to recovery. This is the only place that i will bring my animal. The staff is excellent with what they do and are helpful to you when u need to be helped. Wait time is short and you dont have to worry about a vet full of animals when u get there. Building is small preventing long waits and anxious animal behaviors.
