I had brought my large dog in to have an x-ray and was given some bad news that he had cancer. They were very caring and explained the treatments to me. The vet called me several times throughout the months to see how he was doing and how the medication was working for him. When it came time to let him go, they were accommodating to my time frame so as not to have him suffer and all the staff were so good to my family. I highly recommend them!! Thank you

Everyone at this clinic is kind, caring and professional. They have been caring for our family pets for over ten years and I hope they continue too do so. I highly recommend them.

We have always brought our animals to Herbers because Dr. Sam is kind, knowledgeable and passionate about her patients. She assisted us when we had to say good bye to our older dog and helped us welcome our new bundle of fur. I trust her and more importantly my dog trusts her.

I felt somewhat disappointed with Dr. Sam and I don't think I will be going back to Herber's Vet. I have more than 1 dog, but this was the first time seeing my Ben. Upon arrival we weighed Ben ourselves and once in the exam room, Dr. Sam looked at his sore on his side and said he was going to be ok. We told her that we weighed him. Then she made the comment, "Oh, I guess I should give him an exam since you are paying for it." She listened to his heart, checked his eyes and teeth and that was it. Never took his temperature or much of anything else. When we were leaving my daughter commented that she didn't care for this vet because she felt she was unprofessional. It is out in the country and maybe more of country style vet, but I just didn't feel the warmth for my dog. She did recommend brushing his teeth with baking soda, but many sites I have checked out say not to use baking soda as it throws off the dogs digestive juices causing upset. Sorry, but $84.00 was not worth the drive.

Absolutely the very best care! Sam and Herb are knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. The techs and receptionists are personable and provide excellent service.

I have been bringing my dogs to Herbers since 1999 and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Herb, Sam and all the staff are professional, caring and compassionate. They are readily available for emergencies and always provide excellent follow-up. Prices are very reasonable.

Would never take my pets (cats, dogs, horses) anywhere else! Have used this clinic for over 15 years. Both Sam, Herb and staff are extremely knowledgable and caring. Love them!!

We have been taking our dogs to Herbers for about 13 years since we moved close by. We have had to put a few dogs to sleep as they were very sick and Dr. Sam and the rest of the staff are very, very compassionate and really understand what you are going thru. Dr. Sam never complains about being called for emergencies either, always meets us promptly. Their prices are also very reasonable. Would very highly recommend them to anyone!!!!

I have been with Herber's Vet Clinic for 23 yrs.I have had many visits to the clinic with different pets. One visit stands out most in my memories, my cocker spaniel(Dodger)was out at the lake with us on July long weekend & was attacked by another dog.His side of his rib cage was ripped open & bleeding a lot.I immediately phoned Dr.Herber, even though it was a long weekend/Monday holiday,he didn't hesitate to ask us how long would it take us to get to the clinic,He told us to go straight there no stopping & he would be waiting for us there.When we got there he had everything set up for surgery,he looked at Dodger & said that had it gone through one more layer of tissue he would have died.His left side from his front paw to almost his leg was wide open,he told us to not worry, that he would phone us when he was done.He saved Dodger's life that day,on his time on a holiday!For that reason I recommend his clinic to a lot of people! Even my kids go there! Now we see Dr.Sam. Love Them All!

Sam is wonderful. Our dogs love her. She checks on both even when we are just bringing one in for an appointment. She has seen even us on a Sunday morning when our dog was sick. We will never go to another vet.

We've been in the area for 8 years, and have been going to Herbers the whole time. All the staff are excellent, and sensitive when you have a sick animal. They are always available, and willing to provide helpful advice. When our last pup was in her final days, not once did Sam complain about the calls. Very excellent diagnosis performed by both Herb and Sam also.

i am newer to the area and so found these reviews and tried Herbers based on these reviews. WOW! my hubby and i LOVE this vet! we are such animal lovers and are so pleased to find such a neat country environment ..yet totally clean..very professional..yet caring vet service. I LOVE Dr. Sam ...she treats our animals with kindness and care..and she treats ME very well..taking time t explain many things abut certain conditions and illnesses of ur various cats n pups. i REALLY appreciate this as i have a very "different" colorful look/style and many people often misjudge my creative style for ..stupidity..or who knows what. But, Sam hasnt looked down on me or treated me with any snootiness or disrespect.. and is just an all around wonderful person and vet. recently my husband and i knew our dear !* year old lil Himalayan kittys time had come..we called and Sam fit us right in and helped us let dear Scooby go..and she did it with kindness and let us do what we needed to say our goodbyes. i

Have been using Herbers for 12 years now. Cats, dogs, and horses are treated by Herb and Sam. Excellent service and wonderful vets. Wouldnt take my pets anywhere else! Sam put down our old dog and she was an absolute sweetheart about it. Pricing is also excellent and the girls that work there are very knowledgeable and kind. They take their work very seriously and do it purely for the love of animals. Not for the $$. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

Went to Herbers based on reviews from this website. Was not disappointed - my pup received a thorough exam and Sam was very knowledgeable on the breed. The clinic has a family/country vet feel to it as they also treat large animals. The facilities are practical and basic. The cost was very reasonable. Very happy with Herbers!

I have been to a few vets prior to finding Herber's. For the last 6 years I haven't gone anywhere else. Herber's has a family feel and everyone is very friendly. Sam is wonderful. Very knowledgable and caring. I take all my pets to her. I have one dog with a chronic condition who has seen Sam for the last 6 years. She always asks about him if I go in without him, and in an emergency situation she calms me down and gets him right in. They don't gouge. She tells me what is needed and what isn't.

They really care about animals. It is obvious in the way they handle them and talk to them. They have a very clean facility. There pricing is better than most.

Herb Herbers is a great equine vet partly because he is an experienced horseman and has shown at some of the top shows in Alberta. He is always there when you need him, and his charge out rates is very reasonable.An excellent vet!
