Click to report rating    6/14/14   5     5     5     5   Peoria: I've been there several times over the past few years. We always receive excellent care. They're truly caring and understanding. The first time, I took my 14 yr old son & his “best friend", 13 yr old Maggie, whose health had recently deteriorated rapidly. Sobbing, carrying 60+ lbs of the sweetest dog ever, I checked in & said I thought it was time. We were led to another room to say our goodbyes while they attended to the patients ahead of us. Everyone was very sensitive to my son's age & feelings reassuring him that Maggs would just feel sleepy, then drift off, & not be in pain anymore. They did everything right during a very difficult time for us. They always do. I've taken sick kitties that where treated & recovered, one w/cancer who came home to get super-spoiled her last 2 wks, & an old babe whose body just quit. We are always treated respectfully & as STANDARD emergency clinic procedure, payment is required prior to treatment. No surprise. We're thankful for you, EAC! <3 RID: 52107
Click to report rating    6/24/09   5     5     5     5   Our cat was poisoned with antifreeze and shot with a pellet gun. They were speedy with the diagnosis and showed us the xray with the pellet lodged in his little kidney. It was costly, but I was happy to pay it and find out what happened to my beloved Finnegan. He was ultimately euthanised because the antifreeze destroyed his kidneys. They even made a plaster cast of his paw print for us. Great place. Thank you for being there. RID: 13275
Click to report rating    8/5/08   1     2     1     1   Complete lack of communication. Wanted over $100.00 - then told to pay more - required to sign paperwork that stated "refused needed medical care" extremely overpriced. Not compassionate. Asked non-professional questions like "do you want your children to watch your dog die". Brought out a non-sterilized vial with blood to show - trying to talk into overnight care when I knew my dog was dying - would have been charged over $1000 - but left after 3 hours - after telling them over and over we wanted our dog back. Went to Humane Society instead. Horrible place! Read other ratings of similar nightmare experiences with other people. Only in it for the money. Beware. RID: 9578
