(CONDENSED)11AM- I was called and told to come pick up my kitty. I was told they closed at noon.30mi. They brought my kitty out to me and she was alert but still breathing hard. I was so happy to see her, but when I explained that I had in my haste forgotten my purse, the vet (Dr. Gregg) grabbed my kitty up, and stomped off to the back with her. When he came back, I begged him to give my kitty to me and that I would come back and pay the bill the next day.
Dr. Gregg went ballistic. He balled his hands into fists and shook them over his head and literally screamed at me "Lady, I don't know you!!". I took this to mean he was afraid I wouldn't pay the bill as he didn't recognize me as a returning client.
When I got home about 1hr later, my kitty lived for only about 30 more minutes. She had been alert on the way home and crying, but then she suddenly went quiet and just seemed to be falling asleep, then she went totally limp and expired in my arms. I was heartbroken.
