Click to report rating    1/10/18   5     5     5     5   I recently moved to the GTA with a senior cat with a terminal condition. Dr. Senyshen prescribed medication and food that could/should have been prescribed by the previous vet to better manage my cat's condition. The knowledge of this vet is superior. RID: 65353
Click to report rating    8/21/13   5     4     2     2   The staff are good and the vet is good, however the conglomerate she works for presses her to sell extras all the time, you have to watch for that. We were surprised at a bill for an emergency $872+ after our elderly cat was attacked by a foster dog. They offer competent care, we have been going there for nearly 20 years, but since a new group took over from Dr Clark I am beginning wonder if the care is worth it when you aren't sure the treatments are necessary. There was an instance a couple of years ago when I dealt with a older male vet. He was trying to sell all sorts of diagnoses. However, having been a diabetic myself for 58 years, I knew my cat had that. So I told him I was only prepared to pay for a BG test. I have refused to see the man since even though he is one of the owners. RID: 46420
Click to report rating    7/10/13   2     3     1     2   Dr. Senyshen is always late for our appointments, sometimes half an hour. We only took our cat there for annual shots, but she would talk for hours and hours selling unnecessary prescribed products and service, like cutting my cat's butt hair for 60 bucks. NO THANKS. I have scissors at home and I can do it by myself. Plus that time the receptionist put three samples of Science Diet canned food in our bill without our consent. I thought it was free, but after i learned that it's pretty expensive I gave them back. They sneaked extra charges into your bill without even telling you first. RID: 43598
10/27/12   1     4     1     2   I chose this vet because they use the Purevax MLV rabies shot; much safer for my cat so I figured they knew what they were doing. The staff was initially pleasant, but the doctor took forever to see us even though we were the first appt of the day. Prior to the visit, they asked us to bring a stool sample. Well, Dr. Senyshen came in and sounded like she should work at a Lexus dealership or something. Didn't know a damn thing about cat diet, trying to push that Science Diet crap on me, guilting me, etc. Then they went over neutering with me, and they of course recommended 50 dollar extra laser, and cell treatment. If you can't perform a neuter with minimal bleeding, you're a horrible vet. So eventually I had to tell her to shut up because we had been told half hour max since my girl had to work, she took an hour and 15 mins. I go to pay, and wouldn't you know, they tried to sneak on a 65 dollar charge to analyze my cat's crap. Didn't mention anything before. Bunch of crooks. RID: 38112

1/22/11   5     4     4     4   Very happy with the doctors at this clinic. Dr Memon is great. Other staff efficient and friendly. Great follow up. Costs pretty good, in line with other clinics we have gone to. If you are looking for a clinic that cares, take your cats here. RID: 22276
Click to report rating    12/18/10   5     5     5     5   This hospital has speciality in treating cats. We used to go to a different clinic, few months ago, my kitty has upset stomach and our regular vet was busy so we took him to cat hospital of mississauga, we met there DR. MAMON, a very respectful, knowledgeble and detail oriented veterinarian I have seen in years treated my kitty and he followed up for several days; which even impressed me alot. I have decided that I will never go to somewhere else. RID: 21477
Click to report rating    11/18/10   5     5     5     5   Just came back from my cat's recheck appointment. I love this clinic, the staff and doctor's really care about my cat. They recommended doing some tests because he throws up once in a while, at first I was hesitant but went ahead. We discovered that my cat is in the early stages of renal diease. They have given me a ton of information about what's going on with him and what we can do to slow the progression of his illness. I am really impressed to the lengths they have gone to. The facilities have also been redone and look amazing. RID: 20936
Click to report rating    1/12/10   1     2     2     1   I've been thoroughly disappointed with this vet and will not be returning. In short, the vet does NOT care about your animal and is VERY insensitive. It's ALL ABOUT MONEY and her charges are RIDICULOUS. Example: I was quoted $1000 to give my cat an enema because he was constipated. I brought him home and he****ed on his own within 20 minutes. The reason her charges are so high is that she will try to keep the cat in overnight for every little thing, even though it can be traumatizing for a cat to stay there. Who cares, so long as it puts the $200 or so overnight charge in her pocket. They always try to convince you to do extensive blood work for everything=more $$ in their pocket. The secretary called my cat a prostitute when telling me not to let him out of the house. Could it get any worse? When they performed an abscess surgery on my cat the vet didn't even bother talking to me when I came to pick up the cat - she didn't care. I highly recommend GTA Mobile Vet Dr.Farokhzad instead. Click to report rating    12/15/08   5     5     5     5   We have been taking our cat here for 6 years and rate the clinic and staff as excellent. The vets are very caring and knowledgeable. Our cat is well treated and her welfare is always their first concern. RID: 10909
Click to report rating    8/14/08   2     2     2     2   I have a story to tell but this site only has a 1000 word limit so I'll have to give you the condensed version. After numerous occurrances, we made an appointment with The Cat Hospital of Mississauga (848 Burnhamthorpe Road) and the surgery was set for one-month's time. In the meantime, our cat got really sick and we didn't want to terrorize her unnecessarily so we called a vet that does house-calls. A few days later, The Cat Hospital called and talked to my husband, and during the discussion, they found out about the house-call visit. Well, a week later, we get a letter from The Cat Hospital vet informing us that she didn't want to treat our cat anymore. Basically, the vet is being childish because we seeked help elsewhere but instead of seeing that we were trying to make our cat as comfortable as possible, the vet only thought about her 'affronted' feelings. Give me a break... how ridiculous is that? Trust me when I say... DON'T GO TO THE CAT HOSPITAL! RID: 9668
