They never noticed her diabetes in her bloodwork! Wouldn't change course of action when her addisons disease was NEVER regulated! We wanted percortan -V- & Dr said NO & kept her on strong prednisone & fludrocortisone when she had diabetes! Its ALL about $$$.My poor dog suffered so badly.Spent thousands!Gross Incompetence by 2 DOCTORS! Stunned they're VETERINARIANS. SO INEPT. MY DOG IS DEAD AS A RESULT OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE!!!! Click to report rating    10/16/13   1     1     1     1   I was so embarassed by the way in which Dr. Yarrow treated her employees that I had to walk out. If you look at the majority of her employees, they only work there a year or two and they leave. If she is that cruel to people I wont trust her with my pets. RID: 47651
Click to report rating    2/18/12   2     3     2     1   Unless you have money to throw away and like to be treated rudely, go elsewhere. I was a long time client of Mill Pond who had grown dissatisfied. After being rudely treated by the practice manager, I knew it was time to leave. Since I’ve been going to another vet, I have found that my pets receive great care at half the cost. Through my new vet, I had the opportunity to order medication direct from the pet Rx – the same company that Mill Pond obtained their medication from (without giving their clients the opportunity to have it shipped direct). The new vet provided a prescription (at no cost, whereas Mill Pond will charge $5 to write a prescription) and I was contacted by the Rx company for payment. I was astounded to hear the cost of $20….Mill Pond had been charging me $81 for the exact same medication – a 400% mark-up! They will take every dime you have. And they are continually turning over their staff - how can you get consistent care if they can't keep quality help. RID: 32318
Click to report rating    1/3/11   1     1     1     1   Dr. Yarrow is highly unprofessional. She treats her employees horribly and her hospital is a great big money pit. Dr. Yarrow and her head tech Don like to corner their clients and pressure them into buying unnecessary and ineffective products. When I tried to get my records faxed to a new vet they charged me $14.30. RID: 21762
Click to report rating    10/31/10   5     5     5     5   For well over 10 years Dr. Yarrow and her staff have cared for my furry family members. She has always considered what is best for my pets and explained to my Husband and I what the particular condition was and how she feels best to treat it. On occassion the issues were complex & confusing but Dr. Yarrow always stuck by all of us and was able to fix what was broken. We have complete confidence in Dr. Yarrow and Don (as well as the staff) because all of our pets have lived great, long and happy lives. I have learned preventative care and how to keep my pets safe. We love the new hospital and thank you for the new website that allows us to communicate at any time and view each of my pets information. RID: 20585
Click to report rating    10/28/10   5     5     5     5   Dr/ Yarrow has taken care of all my dogs(3),and she literally saved all of their lives over the past few years. She has always been professional, thorough, and treated me and my animals withwarmth, and caring.her staff is wonderful, and treat me like a friend, not just a client.I would recommed Millpond and Dr. Yarrow to anyone if they really care about their pets!SusanM. Click to report rating    10/19/10   4     5     3     3   I have been going to Dr Yarrow and her hospital for a long time and would not go anywhere else. Dr Yarrow has always put my pet first and is sure the staff does the same. I went to Dr Yarrow after 2 other vets could not figure out what was wrong with my dog. She and her staff explained what we needed to do to figure it out and she did. I received calls to check progress. When I walk in the hospital I am greeted and more important they greet my dog.I would definitely recommend this facility and these vets. My dog loves going there and this is the first time my dog would happily walk into a vet office. RID: 20383
Click to report rating    6/11/10   1     2     3     1   Owner unprofessional & verbally abusive to staff in front of patients & pets. Also inapproriate to patients & directs staff to treat multiple pet patients simultaneiously & rapidly, resulting in limited/compromised treatment decisions & care that poses serious at risk factors for the pet. Will also penalize pet patient if more adequate/complete care is sought elsewhere, even if team treatment consistant with pet's condition at initial intake & duration of treatment. Elects to change policy as it suits administrative needs v.s. ongoing quality care for the pet. Have never experienced the above level of unprofessionalism @ any other facility that has provided long term care for any of my medically compromised pets. RID: 18336
Click to report rating    5/7/10   2     4     3     3   I visited here a few weeks ago with a friend and her cat. The facilities are really nice. But they should have put in more insulation in the walls, cuz you could hear Dr. Yarrow (my friend identified the voice) yelling at her staff. My friend says that she won't take her cat to Dr. Yarow anymore. She likes the other woman vet a lot more. I don't remember her name. How can someone who owns a business be so dumb to treat her employees that way. My friend says she's seen a lot of employeed turnover. RID: 17838
Click to report rating    11/11/09   1     1     1     1   No return phone calls from staff. Refusal of sending records when a second opinion was requested. Further injured my dogs knee while doing a simple exam, Dr. Yarrow pushed her kneecap out of place, then tried to play it off as nothing was wrong. On another more serious event with my dog, extensive, expensive tests were done, still the "Doc" could not identify the problem, instead rented a nebulizer to me for $100.00 per DAY!!!!(NOT including meds). BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR AND HER HOSPITAL. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET_THIS IS NOT THE VET YOU SHOULD CHOOSE!!! RID: 15287
Click to report rating    2/2/09   5     5     4     4   Mill Pond has just moved to a new facility and it is amazing. My dog recently had to have knee surgery and they did such an amazing job. MY dog recovered very quickly and has had no complications. Even if something did happen they are always quick to get her in so they can help. The staff is always smiling and very helpful. You can tell everyone there loves animals RID: 11442
Click to report rating    1/9/09   1     1     2     1   We had a horrible experience with Mill Pond. They recommended and performed a costly surgery on my dog, 18 months later my dog is competely lame. We asked them for help and they referred us to another vet to perform yet another surgery. They refused to release medical records when we found a new vet. They are in my opinion money hungry and prey upon people who love their animals. BE AWARE!!! RID: 11126
Click to report rating    8/15/08   1     1     1     1   I would warn anyone that Dr. Yarrow (or someone possibly from her hospital) deletes negative opinions, to keep herself at a 5 star rating. I will not get into the details of my situation again as it is too painful. I wrote areview based upon my experience there and it was deleted. She did not respond to my opinion merely removed it. I will say that in my opinion she is by far the most expensive small animal veterinarian in my long history of pet ownership. The hospital wanted to charge me via C.C. to fax my records to another hospital. When I offered to pick up the records I also would have been charged. Beware RID: 9673
