Had a great first experience - Dr Alyssia Armborst and the team truly did treat my dog as their own. Dr Armborst reviewed my concerns patiently and had very comforting and practical advice. She really worked to find a solution that was financially feasible for me which is much appreciated in these tough COVID times! Highly recommended for emergencies, thanks Clarkson Village Animal Hospital for helping my girl!

Wow the prices are absolutely outrageous here. They will push all kinds of unnecessary tests when only a couple will tell enough. The front desk staff were courteous. I am just outraged at how greedy this clinic is. After spending hundreds of dollars in tests, they suggested a urine culture (already did a urinalysis but they didn't add the culture?????) and guess how much MORE they wanted for a culture $170 !!!! What???!! $170 for a urine culture? Are they out of their minds? I said no way, I'll go to another vet, where it is under $50. SHAME ON THESE Highway robbery vets!!!

WORST CLINIC AROUND - We brought our dog here for help when he couldn't breathe - he was young - never had a health issue prior - they sent us home with no help - made us pay over $600 just for x-rays!! HE DIED ON CHRISTMAS EVE!! Imagine waking up to find your best friend who you love so much, who was so innocent, who suffered for so long overnight because they didn't help him, DEAD!!! Our hearts are so broken and with SO MUCH REGRET to ever trust these moneyhungry heartless sorry excuse for human beings. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY ARE IN BUSINESS - IT'S SICKENING!!!!

STAY AWAY! Our dog was brought here while he was in the care of a nearby boarding facility and I was overseas (Feb 26 2018). Handed over $1400 to run tests and pre-pay for up to 12 hours of care. Dr Hertel called us and told us dog has cancer and a few hours days/hours to live then casually mentioned more tests/treatments. Frantically we struggled to make the decision to fly home at the expense of $6000 CAD- I decided against this & felt terrible which actually worked out in our favour because our dog is still here (and fine!). Upon my return the medical report was reviewed with a PROFESSIONAL: cancer was never mentioned & the dog was never in CRITICAL CARE/ CONDITION!. I spent 1 month trying to deal with the clinic spoke to 2 different "managers" and requested to speak with owner (NO CALL BACK!). This "vet" isn't listed on their website despite being there "for years" & b/c he doesn't want his name/photo on the internet. Full story:https://www.facebook.com/kristina.lia...

A friend of ours went to Clarkson Village Animal Hospital with their loving family member 3 or 4 years ago, because you were recommended by Farley Foundation, she was qualified for help, and no one ever got her the help she needed, (It was the Vet's Responsibility to File the Paper Work) in fact she ended up having to borrow money from her friends, not pay her rent or eat, just to take care of her Love of her life? (Her only child)
We are going to let the Farley Foundation know that CLARKSON VILLAGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL / CLINIC didn't help someone who truly needed their help.

My family has been going to Clarkson Village Animal Hospital for 26 years. We're always very happy to enthusiastically refer business to this animal hospital. We recently had an experience where we felt that the bill exceeded what was necessary for our cat Chester at that visit. After one quick and courteous phone call the situation was resolved and the bill was significantly reduced. As always this was handled by the phone desk staff quickly, personally and professionally. Thank you very much for all of your great and considerate services over the last quarter century. Our recent visit and experience was just another in the long history of great service from this animal hospital. Strongly recommend.

bad experience. front desk staff very rude. they take dog to the back room for everything even for a shot which is very weird. i've been to a few places they are the only one who does this. they won't let you see what they are doing. charges an arm and a leg. not punctuate either, I waited at least 40 min for doctor to show up.

My family loved coming here for the last 10 years, and timely intervention from the staff helped save my mother's cat, but in the last couple years, especially after they converted into a 24/7 vet hospital, the charges for a simple check-up, test, and shot have almost gone up exponentially. $95 for the visit fee? A total of $220 just for getting shots updated? Though I would like to stay with Dr. Mudrick and his staff, I don't think I can afford it anymore.

My boyfriend and I had adopted a kitten from petsmart and it turns out three days after we bought him he was diagnosed with panleukopenia. It was Saturday night and my kitten had become extremely ill I called clarkson village and they saw him almost right away. We then met doctor Gary Noorlander and he diagnosed our cat and told us exactly what needed to be done my cat stayed with both of the Noorlanders for days and we were able to get constant updates on his condition and if there was something they needed to do they would give us a call and we were able to visit our cat any time of the day and call to check up on him. We are so grateful for the amazing care he recieved. I would not take my pets anywhere else! Thank you to clarkson village!

I just moved to the area. Once I took my dog in for annual blood test for heartworm. My bill was over $400 but I didn't get to see the doctor. They just took my dog into the backroom and had her blood taken. The doctor keep sending the technician to ask me questions. I don't understand why she can't just ask the question herself and communicate with the pet owner. I didn't feel I get good service for what I paid. At the old vet the doctors always see the owners and answer the questions no matter what kind appointment you made. At Clarkson unless you specifically tell them to book examination appt you won't get to see the doctor.

I have been bringing my dogs here since they were both pups, and I would never take them anywhere else. Yes, sometimes you have to wait when they are behind, but the staff is top-notch. Dr. Dewit's professionalism, her caring and sympathetic manner has endeared me to her and this clinic. They are very knowledgeable, warm, caring, compassionate and friendly.

I can't believe some of the negative reviews I've seen on here about my beloved Clarkson Village! I have been taking my family members here for a few years now and cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The staff here are friendly and always concerned about my "kids". Sure, I've had to wait for appointments at times but who hasn't? When was the last time you walked into your doctors office and walked right into the exam room?? Every appointment I have I feel that my kids get the best care and all of my questions are answered. The doctors here are caring and extremely knowledgable! I would not hesitate one second to recommend this hospital to friends and family. The best thing is that I know my pets will have great care 24 hours a day, and the emergency doctors that I have met so far have been wonderful too. I will never take my kids anywhere else but here!!

Doctor mis diagnosed my dog where the issue was life or death. He had an auto immune disease and I was told by the doctor that it was just allergies. Was even suggested to give an advantage multi (insect prevention type product)to him at that time. Well I took him to another clinic who not only immediately diagnosed him with an auto immune disease but what is even more disturbing, this product that the clarkson village doctor gave me could have worsened his condition and even proven fatal. My dog needed to be immediately put on steroid treatment (to stop him destroying blood platlets)and to preven internal (or in case of a cut) bleeding out. He is never allowed another vaccination or chemical insect repelant product. This vet could have killed him had I listened to their doctor and not taken him elswhere. If it doesnt seem right please dont go back. Get a second opinion. Better yet, dont go at all.

I have taken both my dog and cats to The Clarkson Village Animal Hospital for the last 15 years, and have found the stall very friendly and helpful. The vets I have seen are always wonderful to me and most importantly my pets.I have had to say good bye to 2 of my cats and found the staff very caring and comforting to me. i will continue to go to this Animal hospital for every animal I have.

I really can't believe all the negative reviews. I've had my cats as patients of this clinic over the last 17 years and they are absolutely the number one most caring and knowledgable veterinary staff out there. All of our cats were always treated with kindness and received the best medical attention possible. We ended up having to put two of our cats down (one due to old age at 23 years and one due to cancer) and the staff and vets, especially dr. Dewitt were incredible in their support during those difficult decisions.

1- Had a microchip put in my dog - found out 6 months later, they did not bother to register it with the company.2- When test results come back, have waited 3 days to get a phone call to discuss results.3- Dr Mudrick is so busy running the business details of his clinic, he doesn't have time to concentrate on your pets health. Does a lot of "chatting", but won't listen to owner. Looks at one symptom at a time, and offers a band aid approach instead of putting the whole picture together. My dog had a serious illness for years, which he didn't catch in time. I did research on the net myself, found the problem, it was confirmed with a simple urine test. Too late, my wonderful dog died. If this test had been done years or even months earlier, this was a treatable condition, and my dog would have had a much better quality of life during that time. When you have to do your own diagnosing, there's something seriously wrong with the vet/clinic.

I also need to comment after seeing some of the negative ratings here. I've been a client of Clarkson for over 16 years and drive 45 minutes from home just to have my dog seen by Dr Mudrick. I have always found the staff to be caring and helpful. After treatments or procedures they will follow up with a phone call to see how my "guy" is doing. I have had two dogs with various medical issues and I've always been treated with respect and concern for their well being. Dr Mudrick keeps abreast of the latest research and is an excellent diagnostician. I highly recommend this clinic.

I don't usually place a rating, but after seeing the last entry, I felt that I had to comment. I have been a client of Dr. Mudrick at the Clarkson Village Animal Hospital for the past 22 years. Over these years he has seen our cat family through many visits, mostly happy and healthy through their entire lives (18, 18 and 21 years old). Especially in their later years, Dr. Mudrick guided us with excellent knowledge, and a caring manner. Dr Mudrick, and his entire staff, are the most knowledgeable and approachable team of professionals that I have ever dealt with. Better than any other vet or even human doctor office. I don't understand why someone would anonymously slander a good person, rather than speak with them in person, if they feel that they have an issue to discuss. I would recommend this hospital to anyone who is a pet lover, and wants excellent care for very fair prices.

I can't believe there are positive ratings. Dr. Mudrick is not very knowlegable with respect to cats. Actually, I agree with a few people here that and a few of his staff are extremely unprofessional and should not have any contact with clients at all. I am appalled with how I was treated there and I had 2 senior cats that were extremely ill. They just don't care.

We love this clinic! When our 3 month old kitten was injured they took amazing care of him. We had to board him as his injury occured 1 day before we were scheduled to go away. The vet and front staff arranged to take him home in the evenings and he became a regular at their staff meeting. When he was home and I was worried about how he was healing, I was able to bring him in without charge for a quick check. The staff are always friendly and show they genuinely care. Prices are always discussed before hand. We do get a full physical for our pet every year, including blood work and stool sample - this was recommended beyond the standard shots, but never forced upon us. Pain management management and general well being is a priority. If we change food or have to give medication, the staff follows up with a call. After his nueter, we received a personalized brochure complete with instructions for care. We are extremely fond of this clinic and would highly recommend it!

I'm really pleased with the staff and services and super surprised to read some of the not so nice reviews.3 dogs and 1 cat I've brought to Clarkson Village and we've always received great help. Money and tests were always discussed ahead of time. They've helped me save money by treating problems proactively like her ear infection. I totally can recommend this place to anyone!

We had a chow chow - which is a challenging breed to treat - and the staff and vets always treated her like a queen and when she was 16 they gently and with great kindness put her down while we held her in our arms. We now have a little terrier and, although he is the opposite of our old girl, they adore him and treat him and his feisty personality with delight. I am always confident that my dogs are not only cared well for at Clarkson, they genuinely care for the welfare of all animals.

I’ve been going there for many years a long with my friends and family. None of us have ever had a bad experience. I started there when my dog was a puppy, 10 years ago and every visit has been great. Now that he is getting older they are helping us deal with his arthritis and wow what a change. Once you visited them you’ll never want to go anywhere else.

My wife and I have been bringing our 2 cats to this clinic for over 11 years, and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful. It took us a very long time to find a clinic that was a good fit- but the vets at Clarkson are very knowledgable and easy to talk to and the clinic itself is far more professional than any other practice we've taken our animals to. All in all it has a really very welcoming atmosphere and I am downright shocked at some of the previous comments for the clinic. All I can say is that people are more likely to come to make a rating if they have something negative to say? We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this clinic and we wouldn't take our pet anywhere else.

Two of the front staff are unbelievably rude. If you lodge a complaint with head staff or vet, they will stand by their unprofessional staff and the blame is on you for being rude. They take your animal in the back for all shots administered to your pet which I do not like and have never seen before. Don't they have a clue that your pet is frightened and would rather have it's owner with him/her? I would never tell anyone to go there. Dispicable service, highly priced and the owner Dr. Mudrick seems to know more about dogs than cats, as he keeps referring to dogs when you only want to hear about cats in comparison. Do Not Go There.

A few years back we took our dog to this place for a groom and upon picking him up we were told that our dog was a danger and we should put him down. Needless to say we were shocked at this comment and asked what happened. We then found out that they took our dog to some room, chained him to the wall where three unknown "groomers" approached him. So in response, our dog growled (that was the extent of the viscousness). I'm sorry but if was in a room I had never been in before and found myself chained to the wall with three unknown people approaching me I too would be upset and afraid. I though they handled this situation completely wrong. Our dog has been one of the most loving pets. We take him to a different groomer and not once has there been even a sniff of a problem. I will never return to this place.

We took our puppy there for his first booster/ check up and we had a horrible experience. The vet we had called our puppy a vicious dog and that we should put him down (at 9 weeks old). Our dog grew into the most friendly and loving dog and brought the greatest joy to me and my family's life. If you are looking for a friendly and compassionate vet look elsewhere. I was young when we first took our puppy in and it was very frightening for me to hear that my new pup was "vicious." I would never recommend taking your beloved pet to this place. On top of everything they were extremely expensive.

Friendly staff, but I was appalled to see my bill. If you bring a pet in and describe a *potential* concern you have, you should be warned before $460 of tests are done. I felt robbed and violated -- it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a new business.
