Click to report rating    1/15/14   5     5     5     5   It's a bit pricey, only had to go twice. Had great top of the line care. Vets cared. Our last visit didn't end well, we had to put our 9yr old Boxer down, which was from a misdiagnosis from another vet in London. He told us he would be fine in a few hours however he was worse and nearly dead. They did everything they could at the clinic we were rushed in right away vet came running over and had to start chest compressions. The staff were great very helpful and gave us time with him after he passed. If need be I would take my dogs again no questions. Great Emergency clinic for london. RID: 49266
Click to report rating    12/6/13   5     5     4     4   My dog has been to the clinic a few times. Dr Lily White has always been good and listens to my questions. I feel like my dog gets a full check over. RID: 48632
Click to report rating    8/12/13   3     3     1     1   I can not believe this clinic is not governed!! I took my cat in as she became lethargic and weak. They did some tests and brought us in to a room and began to tell us she was in kidney failure, possibly pancreas, as well as heart problems and a UTI. I began to blame myself thinking "how could I have not noticed this" they kept her in for 3 days. On day 2 I recieved a call saying she could go in to cardiac arrest at any time. I raced there from work, held her and the vet began to tell me she should be euthinized. I told them to please start the I.V fluids for now and I will make a decision. Within 30 minutes of starting that, she began to perk up. Meds were givien for the UTI but was told she wouldnt last long, she could have cancer, but her kidney's were failing. Long story short, when she was discharged, I took her to my vet..she was treated with sub q fluids, redid the blood work, all normal.no kidney failure, cancer or anything. WOW. This place charged me $2600 for a UTI. TERRIBLE!!! RID: 46254
Click to report rating    3/11/13   1     5     3     1   I WOULD NEVER, EVER TAKE ANY OF MY PETS THERE AGAIN. THEY DEFINATLEY CARE MORE ABOUT MAKING MONEY THAN THE WELFARE OF THE PET AND THE OWNERS. THEIR PRICES FOR MEDICATIONS WERE 4 TIMES HIGHER THAN MY VET, DR. BRIAN ROE FROM LUCAN, ONT. I UNDERSTAND THE VETS HAVE TO MAKE MONEY BUT I THOUGHT IT ALSO HAD TO WITH THE LOVE OF ANIMALS. THE VETS THAT WORK AT THIS EMERGENCY CLINIC SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES AND SHOULD MAYBE THINK ABOUT WHY THEY BECAME VETS IN THE FIRST PLACE. SHAME ON YOU. RID: 41006
Click to report rating    1/21/13   2     4     2     1   I took my dog there cause he had parvo virus the vet took a bit to get to us and when she did told me the treatment plan but would not start treatment unless I paid some money up front all along waiting for my poor dog to get treatment. After 5 days in the hospital my dog lived thanks to the one girl who cared and was watching my dog while he was there(she was great)My bill was over $4000 dollars.....which to me was not worth that kind of money way to much and if someone else came in and couldnt afford this kind of care there pet would die or would have to go to there regular vet which may be too late..why do the prices need to be so high? I would think twice before going there again....There were only 2 staff members that were kind caring and compassionate about there job the rest were rude and nosy(in my business). RID: 39806
Click to report rating    3/8/12   5     4     4     4   I have taken my pup there a few times and have had amazing experiences with the staff. From the moment I walked in the door till I leave the staff have been awesome! I will admit that sometimes the wait is a bit long but understand when I see some very sick animals come in and are seen before myself. I would expect the same if that were my animal in a life/death situation. I have seen a few diffrent vets on my visits (I have a dog with ongoing health issues) and I must say they have all been very compassionate. I must give an extra shout out to 2 of the most wonderful vets I've ever encountered and I've seen alot. Dr. Lillywhite and Dr. Cullen two amazing people and vets! Thanks you all for your great care. Click to report rating    1/25/12   4     4     4     1   I had a prolonged and very close contant with the london emergency clinic, and feel I am more than qualified to review. I do think they get a bad rep due to the very fact that so many owners bring in their pets to late or blame them for their death. We had a dog taken in with anemia resulting from a serious immune system disease. He spent a week at emerg on meds and with us visiting often. The staff listened, were open to ideas, and willing to call in a prescription for us to try and save some money in this extremely expensive situation. They were compasionate and let us visit for as long as we wanted to whenever we wanted to. They were educated about the disease and gave me hope. Thank you so much. RID: 31791
Click to report rating    12/6/11   5     5     5     5   I came to the clinic with my sick cat, I was panicked and worried. The veterinarian was very calming and took my concern seriously. A plan was devised right away and treatment was started. Updates were encouraging for a good outcome. I was able to bring my cat home after all treatment was completed. Very pleased with services provided RID: 29627
Click to report rating    12/6/11   5     5     5     4   I was impressed with the compassion that was shown to me and my Airedale last May. I feel as though she was given a very thorough exam and the work up was appropriate. The staff was very caring and handled my nervous dog well. Even thought the outcome was sad I feel that she couldn't have been managed in a nicer more humane way. RID: 29626
8/30/11   1     1     1     1   My dog went in there for overnight monitoring after surgery. The vet did a procedure that was not necessary at that time and there was a lot of damage caused by it. The dog had to be euthanized and we were devasted. On top of that they started taking tubes etc out of our dead dog while we were still there. The techs were talking to each other while they were doing it as if it was an everyday event. It may have been to them, but not to us. We made them stop until after we left. The bill was over $1200.00. We will never ever take another animal there! RID: 27254
Click to report rating    5/9/11   1     1     1     1   I took my shar pei in at 7:40am and my puppy was having a fever and would yelp everytime we pick him up. So when we got there we were the first customer to be there, and we still had to wait for about 20mins before someone came over and asked if we needed help.... When visiting the vet, she scared me to death and pretty much telling me my puppy will have "significantly shorten lifespan" because she thinks my shar pei may have the shar pei fever. She only mention like two other possibilities, and so pretty much for the first time I was told my puppy has something incurable. We cal;led the breeder and even she said the vet shouldn't have said that. Then we kept him there for the night and with all the tests they did overall we spent 1200 there and on top of that we had to pay 300 just to tranfers my puppy from this clinic to my normal vet. Overall, my first time being in this clinic was not satifying, I've never been so scared and fearful for my puppy (because of what the vet told me) RID: 24893
Click to report rating    1/15/11   1     3     4     1   Place was okay (clean and such) and we got in quickly, but couldn't believe the "couldn't-care-less" attitude I got, despite coming in in tears with an incredbly sick dog. The vet was condasending; snickering everytime I mentioned something even though I was only seeking advice. She took a pee sample from the floor and told me the bacteria count was high (no kidding, my shoe was just there!) And strongly reccomended a pricey urinalysis that gave us no conclusive results, which she then said was common ("might be, might not, a urinalysis won't say for sure"). Felt sad, stupid and VERY ripped off upon leaving; someone should remind them that at least a smile is free! RID: 22092
Click to report rating    11/7/09   2     1     3     1   I received very bad advice here with my rabbit, and an extreme misdiagnosis (which was later cleared up at my reg vet's). The vet at the emerg diagnosed my bunny with stasis, even though he was eating/pooping in his carrier while we were there. I was charged +$40 for a ziploc bag of Critical Care (not even a complete package) that would cost $20 for the full one anywhere else. Also prescribed an antibiotic, which would do nothing for the diagnosis of 'stasis' so I'm not sure why. No motility drugs were prescribed, which would be essential in treating stasis. So even though the diagnosis was wrong (bunny didn't have stasis) the vet's prescribed medications/treatment wouldn't have helped with what they thought was wrong anyway. I won't be taking another pet there - I'd rather drive out of town to a diff emergency clinic. It was a complete waste of my time, and a lot of money. RID: 15234
Click to report rating    10/15/09   1     1     3     1   Intake staff are unable to assess level of emergency. Premises are filthy. Veterinary advice is often (depending who's there) either deceitful or incompetent and delivered in a high-pressure manner ie "you have 1 minute to decide". Competence in care is lacking, one puppy they treated for a bacterial infection that her dam contracted THERE suffered severe permanent damage to her leg from the iv wrap being too tight! This is where I will take an animal for an emergency euthanasia only, not for medical care. Monetary value? Minimum 5 times the price for services elsewhere. How obscene! I personally know several people who were "misinformed" and charged thousands to treat conditions that always have 100\% mortality rates. How those poor animals suffered . . . In a word - outrageous. RID: 14725
Click to report rating    9/2/08   5     5     5     5   To the staff at the emergency clinic... thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. They made Usagi's last moments with us as comfortable as possible and they were very sensitive and helpful with everything. RID: 9843
