We have been visiting Dr. B for a few years now and would not go anywhere else with our Frenchie. After issues were misdiagnosed by 3 other vets, and claiming he needed emergency surgery, Dr. B was able to have our little guy treated with antibiotics and a special diet instead.
We would confidently recommend him to anyone.

This past year my cat had to have almost all his teeth extracted as a result of having "feline tooth resorption" a disease I'd never heard of. It affects about 50% of all domestic cats. The process was long and immensely taxing for the cat and all the people involved. At every step the doctor and staff were kind, efficient, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. They also provided all the necessary follow up that I and my cat needed. I give this clinic and staff the highest possible rating. I have taken my cat to other clinics, but this one is the best by far. They also offer friendly payment plans so your pet doesn't have to suffer not being treated promptly. I wrote this review because I wanted to, I wasn't asked to write it. Sincerely, Chuck Clausen

Will NEVER use this clinic again. I am absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of Dr. Pawel Biernacki. My poor cat was listless and not eating and having trouble standing. I made an appointment in the evening as this was the only time i could get a sitter for my baby girl. Dr. Pawel Biernacki took my cat out of the carrier and dropped her on the floor from counter height! When I got upset, he told me it was my fault for not holding her and told me I'd have to find another vet.

Was a client for close to 20 years but recently found out that the vet seemed more concerned about the money he made from us than maintaining a good client relationship. He was charging us a lot of money for 5 different meds that 2 of my animals needed. I found an online pet pharmacy that charged a lot less for the exact same medication. The vet seemed okay with the first phone call from the pharmacy confirming a prescription but then seemed to get difficult with the rest when I switched over (not accepting the phone or fax requests from the pharmacy any longer). You would think that being a long term client who had spent thousands over the years we would get better effort from him and maybe a break with things like prescription fees. Too bad though, Meaghan was great at the front desk along with most of the front line staff so had the vet worked with us a little more we would have continued being customers.

Our dog had good life at 15 yrs old, the year before he died we took him on doggy vacation to Oregon, great beaches, he had a blast. His back leg started to give out and we tried some treatments but old age was catching up. My wife and I decided it was time to let him go and I went to our vet for help, (we had been going to him throughout our dogs life, so he knew us) the Doctor was resistant to our decision, then finally gave in. The decision to terminate Casey life was not made easily and I feel the doctor was looking to earn more money, but I could be wrong. My advice to all Doctor's is an animal's parents alway have the last call, respect that.
It has taken me 3-4 years to write about this traumatic experience.

i wouldn't recommend this clinic. the dr just wants to make money and makes you do stupid tests and examinations that are not necessary. he just wants to charge you for visitation costs. the staff changed and the receptionist stephanie is horrible. she is very rude and needs to have a attitude checkup. save your money and go to a doctor and clinic that cares about your pet. DON'T GO HERE.

I have been a client here for over a decade. Dr. B is methodical and prefers to rule out issues one by one, rather than ordering a huge number of tests all at once. He provided great end of life care for my elderly cats and has been excellent with my new kittens. He takes his time and explains things clearly and answers all of my questions. He doesn't try to "sell" me on stuff I don't need, but doesn't hesitate to get outside advice or refer to specialists if needed. As my elderly cats passed away (from old age), the clinic sent me sympathy cards. He always follows up with a phone call to check on the cats. He has my business as long as his clinic is around!

I showed my cat's previous vet report to the girls who were working at reception. I wanted some suggestions and recommendetions from her but she did not pay attation. They don't explain the fees clearly and I have to phone them back to make sure how they charged the fees. I don't think an examation worth $60 for looking at only eyes and ears.

Dr. Biernacki is a very good vet, his staff are great, I've been taking my dogs here for almost 10yrs, but after seeing how much I've been paying compared to another vet hospital that my fiend takes his dog too, I'm feeling a little gouged at the pricing of North Road Animal hospital, their prices are quite high. Also there have been issues where I've had to have my dog's urine sampled and all the times I've been told the sample was not able to be analyzed, and I've have to give another sample and pay another $60 lab fee.

This is a veterinary office that I can truly trust. I have had the fortune of dealing with both vets, and I found them both to have a practical, intuitive and cost-effective approach. They have never pushed me to get unnecessary tests and have relied on years of experience and common sense to make spot-on diagnoses with my two cats and our dog. So when they say a test or a procedure is necessary, I trust that it truly is. Best of all, I find their prices are very reasonable. I trust the lives of my beloved cats and dog with these vets (especially Dr. B) and will continue to seek treatment here for all future ailments and check-ups. And the assistants and techs are so personable: they remember you every time you walk in the door and are already drawing up your file, even if it's just to buy food.

Dr. B and all the girls at North Road are the best. My family's been bringing all our animals there for over a decade. Dr. B is straight forward about his diagnosis and prognosis, and realistic about costs (he won't try to push any unnecessary procedures). The entire staff was also very sensitive and accommodating when our previous dog required end of life care.

Dr. Biernacki is an excellent Vet but he seems very distant to my pet and me and my spouse as clients. His bedside manner leaves much to be desired and he dismisses concerns and conversations about courses of action that we have brought up.When I'm there I always leave feeling financially and emotionally drained. He did make a great diagnosis though ,I will credit him that and his calls to check up on my cat were very caring and timely. The vet Techs are pretty nice as well and are very gentle with my guy.If you need a soft hand and a compassionate bedside manner, like I do. I would suggest going elsewhere. However I know some people like the cold hard facts approach and that's what he's excellent at.I also find the clinic building itself to be very unwelcoming although very clean.Great Vet but not for me.

Dr. Biernacki is amazing. I've been bringing my beloved furkids to him for 17 years now. It started with a hamster and since then I've brought all my animals in. He is professional and does his best to present customers with the information they need in order to make decisions that are right for themselves and their pets. He's the only vet I've taken my animals too who can immunize them without them seeming to feel anything (I've been to a few others, when he wasn't available, that didn't have his "touch"). The office are very personable and friendly. I enjoy visiting.

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Biernacki for over 17 years. He is an excellent veterinarian who truly cares about your pets. He goes out of his way to be sure your pet is getting the best treatment. He personally calls you after each visit for a follow up to see how your pet is doing. His prices are fair and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes when I go there. Clinic is very clean. I recommend him to all my friends and they agree he is wonderful. My sister has also been taking her dog there for 9 years and agrees his is one of the best. He is very friendly, has a great sense of humor and treats both you and your pet with respect and dignity. His office girls are also very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend his clinic to anyone. I will continue to take my pets to him until the day he retires. I am not sure about the other veterinarian that works there one day a week, but you will not be disappointed when you see Dr. Biernacki.

Dr. Biernacki is great, and his sense of humor makes the visits so much better for us humans. My cat won't let anyone other than my husband and I touch her but she's putty in his hands. Also, when I got my puppy a kennel cough vaccine, they charged me the 'add on' fee only (since I got his puppy vaccines a couple of days before) so it was much cheaper that what I had anticipated.

Dr. Berneski is great and has been great with all my pets. The Lady Vet that covers for him on vacations seems to be a money hungry person not so concerned for your pet as about the money, and tries to guilt you into procedures on your old and terminal pet.

Dr Biernacki is fantastic. HAs been right on with all his diagnoses.Saved one of our dogs lives years ago and the bill came in under the estimate! Came to our house to euthanize our dog( at our request) and treated him (and us) with such dignity.

Dr. B is a very, very good vet. Shame on you for blaming him for the death of your cat. Maybe you should have taken his advice for him to look at your cat to see what was wrong with it instead of letting the poor little thing die. Shame on you! People like you who do not care about the welfare of a poor defenseless animal should not have pets. And then to blame the man who saves animals for a living instead of yourselves and your poor judgement. SHAME ON YOU! I have been a client of North Road for many years and they are good trustworthy people that know what they are doing.

2 days after being spayed my nine month old kitten died. I brought her in on day 2 after she wasn't looking so good. The vet said that it would cost $300 to see what was wrong. She came home sick after he operated on her and he wanted me to pay to see what was wrong? He refused to admit that there was even a possibility of himself being at fault. He said that it was a simple operation he had performed for the last 20 years and a cat had never died from it. Because of his arrogance, he refused to take any responsibility for her death and refused to refund the cost of spaying (about $250). He also charged the extra $30 for an adult cat when our cat was listed as 9 months. Our family is sad for our loss and have received not so much as a phone call for our loss. There is another vet up the road. When i spoke to them for a second opinion they were sorry for my loss and said that this case was unusual. I would say go to that vet instead.

Without the care and dedication of this wonderful vet my dog would have lost his life. It is also because of Dr. Biernacki's quick action that Dylan is walking after rupturing discs in his back. Thank you so much for everything that you have done for us.

Dr. Berneski is GREAT. My rabbit has had teeth issues, and he has been a godsend about it. From sanding them down, to when we had to pull them. Explaining everything along the way, and even letting me watch him file the teeth. =) He has been so great and I love this vet!
