Click to report rating    3/17/19   5     5     5     5   Our cat Oscar recently had a catastrophic fall. We have a vet who does housecalls. She thought he may have broken his arm. She called the Beaches Animal Hospital to have him seen urgently. They fit him into the clinic immediately. He was assessed, x-rayed and given pain meds. Thankfully, he’s starting to recover, albeit with a limp. I cannot say how impressed and happy we are with the staff. I would highly recommend this clinic. RID: 67537
Click to report rating    9/19/18   5     5     5     5   I cant say enough about the care my cats have received at Beaches. Yes, there can be significant wait times but this occurs when they have had emergencies. I have been one of those emergencies on more than one occasion. Pet people understand!! Yes -they are not cheap but they also don't have to send you away to an emergency clinic for x-rays,ultrasound or blood work. they do everything right there. I completely trust the staff. The same techs have been there since I have been taking my cats there. The Beaches team are a compassionate, caring group of professionals and Iwould highly recommend thier skilled services. Extra kudos to Dr. Dilworth and everything he does. RID: 66801
Click to report rating    4/26/18   5     5     5     5   I have taken my cat with a spine injury to see Dr. Koszti he was fantastic and the staff with their help she kept going strong till she was 6yrs old than we had to put her to sleep. Dr Dilworth took care of our new boy when he had surgery and than a complication arose but now he is doing so well. I just want to say thank you to the Doctors and staff! RID: 66029
Click to report rating    7/20/17   1     2     1     1   Been going to this clinic for more than 10 years. It just gets worse every time. After waiting a week for an appointment, when we got there at 4:10 for a 4:20 appointment there were already 7 people ahead of me, and the vet had just started at 3pm. The rudest staff I have ever encountered, that includes the techs. Sensitivity training should be required for all. RID: 64228
Click to report rating    5/5/16   5     5     5     5   I love this place. Dr Dilworth is wonderful -so kind, compassionate and honest. I've seen many Veteranarian over the years with my previous fur babies and Dr Dilworth has by far the best bed - side manner of any I have ever encountered. I would highly recommend him and the Beaches Animal Hospital and the whole team to anyone looking for a loving caring veteranarian hospital . Kudos to them for their exceptional service. They go above and beyond what is expected . I have nothing but high praise and regards for this place. The staff are amazing too, so kind and thoughtful; remembering me and my pooch every time we go in. Bubba is a shy nervous type and they take that into consideration . 4 Paws up. Pawsome since Bubba can't give a hifive. I encourage anyone who is looking for an honest, caring thorough practice to check them out. They dont over prescribe medicine or tests despite what previous posts say. You won't be disappointed . A loyal customer for life. RID: 60499
Click to report rating    2/1/16   4     4     1     4   Ridiculous wait time. I understanding trying to maximize your profits but when you have to wait this long it just becomes insulting. My time has value too. They should be able to approximate appointment times far better than this. Insulted and angry. RID: 59651
Click to report rating    8/19/14   5     5     5     5   Amazing people who truly care about the health of your pet. Never have I found a vet like Dr. D who is so kind and thorough and loves his job. He helped cure problems with our dog that 3 other vets could not address. RID: 53140
12/17/13   4     4     3     1   I have found this vet clinic to order too many tests for things that other vets would adopt a "wait and see" approach. or deem unnecessary. It seems like they have dollar signs in their eyes when looking at an animal. My dog ate something dodgy and was vomiting. Instead of saying that I could wait it out and monitor, they insisted on x-rays and wanted to get her hooked up to an IV immediately. Completely unnecessary. That simple stomach issue cost $400 in minutes and the vet made me feel guilty that I wasn't ordering extensive bloodwork and leaving my dog overnight on an IV. My dog was fine the next day. After I shared that I was going to this clinic with other dog walkers down at the beach, everyone warned me away from it, saying it was a cash grab. Too bad, because it's convenient to me, but I've been told Kingston Road Animal Hospital is better. RID: 48824
Click to report rating    11/6/13   4     5     5     5   I absolutely LOVE this clinic. My dogs and cats see Mark Dilworth and Natalie Beck both of whom are extremely honest, knowledgable and personable people. I trust them fully and have been seeing them both for many many years. The clinic staff are all very good people as well, however some of the newer front desk staff haven't been so pleasant. Either way it is not them who have the life of pets in their hands.I would reccommend this clinic to anyone who really cared for their animals, both doctors have saved my cat's life (he ate olives), and my new dogs life (allergic reaction). Overall they are genuine, and they actually care for the wellbeing of your pet just as if it was their own offering all the options. RID: 48106
Click to report rating    7/21/13   5     5     5     5   no one beats dr. mark dilworth (only dr. ted morris from a sister clinic runs a close 2nd)... very caring, knowledgeable, talented, and trustworthy / not in it for the money. they are AAHA accredited (AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. AAHA-accredited hospitals voluntarily choose to be evaluated on 900 standards in the following areas: quality of care; diagnostic & pharmacy; management; medical records; and facility.) plus, they have the best non-emergency hours in the city, 8am to 10pm seven days a week! i highly recommend this clinic. Click to report rating    12/31/11   5     5     5     5   Had to rush a friends dog to this clinic - I was impressed by the staff on the phone - the professionalism and concern they showed towards this little dog. We then were shown into a clean well organized clinic. Dr Mark Dilworth took care of little Coco with sensitivity - We were so impressed we are thinking of moving our animals to this clinic and to Dr Dilworth's care. Jo RID: 30183
Click to report rating    11/8/11   5     5     5     5   I am huge fan of this hospital. Our dog recently passed away and BAH was there for all of our needs. Dr. Dilworth is an amazing vet. He impressed me with his medical knowledge and clearly presented me with various options for the treatment of our dog. He is also generous with his time -- always available! -- and always put the needs of my dog first. Staff follow his lead so everyone takes the same approach. It was not a happy time in my life, but BAH helped me every step of the way. I will be back there with my next dog and I recommend them to all my friends. RID: 28936
Click to report rating    4/26/11   5     5     5     5   The best animal hospital in the city by far. I've been bringing my animals here for a couple of years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is amazing, the doctors are knowledgable, the clinic is clean and the atmosphere there is great. I always feel 100 percent comfortable with my animals in their care and that is a priceless feeling. I would, and do recommend this clinic to all. RID: 24639
Click to report rating    4/19/11   3     3     3     2   dr mark dilworth is the best vet there; he is a friendly, wonderful dedicated vet ; and they help animal rescue groups; but stay away from the other vets as they are not friendly (i was not overly impressed with the fact that they forgot to take some of the sutures out following operation) RID: 24485
Click to report rating    6/24/10   2     3     3     1   At first, I was pleased with the service provided and found them to be very compassionate with both myself and my pets. Unfortunately, there came a time when I noticed that the decisions being made were not done with complete competence and there was always a hesitation about which way to go which was making me uncomfortable. So, I started my search again BUT, before finding a new clinic, my cat got a severe (life threatening) urinary tract blockage. In my panic, rather than listening to my friend and using her vet, I went back to this clinic. BIG mistake. My cat spent 10 days in there and still was not fully unblocked. Included in that 10 days was a surgery that I was told was my responsibility to pay even though it was because of their actions that he needed the surgery. $5,000 later, I transferred him to my friend's vet and he was unblocked in a week for $1,000. That vet commented on the amount of scar tissue damage left by the type of catheter used over and over by prior vet. RID: 18520
Click to report rating    2/14/10   1     1     1     1   I also wrote the previous entry and since then I have learned the xrays taken at this clinic showed an enlarged liver and I WAS NOT TOLD. I would never have allowed general anasthetic or the other very invasive tests that could and did cause her to be very ill for several days and may have further damaged her liver or other organs. The emergency vet where i was referred also was not told of the enlarged liver and they failed to see it on the xray provided by the beaches animal hospital. I am beyond angry at the careless manner in which my dogs health has been compromised. RID: 16593

2/9/10   3     4     4     3   I have mixed feelings about this clinic. Had two excellent experiences with both male vets. Just recently though a new female vet saw us when both dogs had issues at the same time. She is nice but when our cockapoo had back pain she did xrays and said there was a disk compresion. Said to carry her up and down stairs no jumping etc. till we saw the neurologist a couple of days later. Short story is my dog just endured general anasthetic, two cat scans ,three xrays and a dangerous myelogram at the emg clinic only to find out the problem was insignificant and not surgical. The whole experience left me drained and concerned about the long term effects of theses tests on my poor little dog. RID: 16530
9/10/09   4     4     4     2   The receptionist Barbara has extremely poor people skills, and is an insincere, lying, gossiping, controlling, power-hungry, know-it-all--inconceivably unprofessional Despite repeated complaints and acknowledgment of her inadequacies, the owners are unable or unwilling to remove her. This Vet Clinic (and it's partners--Bllor, Downtown, Scarborough & Willowdale Animal Hospitals are the most expensive Veterinary clinics in Toronto--by over at least 35%. My entire animal household contracted a dangerous virus because of their lax sanbitary procedures. Other than that, the Veterinarians they employ are absolutely skilled, knowledgable, passionate and professional. If you have big $ and don't mind a less-than-professional receptionist, your animals will be well cared for here. RID: 14196
Click to report rating    8/23/09   5     5     5     5   Kind, caring, compassionate - hooray for Dr. Dilly! (Dilworth, actually:) He bent over backward to help my poor little chronically mangy puppy. These guys rock. RID: 13965
Click to report rating    3/21/09   5     5     5     5   I have 5 pets, and I take all of them to this clinic, and will continue to do so for as long as I'm in Toronto. They are amazing on every level. The vets, the techs, the office staff -- all of them are compassionate, caring, reasonable, and willing to help in whatever way they can. I would recommend this clinic to anyone and everyone looking for competent and sensitive care for their furry friends. RID: 12197
Click to report rating    1/30/09   5     5     5     5   Overall, this is one of the best vet clinics in Toronto. They are generous and reasonable on every level. Each of my 4 pets goes to this hospital, and they have always been courteous, gentle, and informed. I'd recommend them to anyone. RID: 11415
Click to report rating    10/2/08   5     5     5     5   I have been to this clinic a number of times and truly feel they are one of the best in Toronto. The staff is amazing, personable and care for every animal that walks in their doors. The vets will bend over backwards to help people and their pets. I recommend this clinic very highly. RID: 10181
