The prices are unreal. My dog had some lab work done. I'm still waiting to hear the results from that test which has been over a week since the test has been done. And charging $28 for writing a script for some medication sold by a local drug store is unreal.

https://dundasanimalhospital.ca/new-c... web page was blank;asked receptionist for actual tour; she said no; asked to meet and greet DVM; she said make an appointment and you will be billed. Potential client looking for a new vet because of residential relocation. due to this site's software, had to rate facilities and punctuality I gave these a 3(average) please note I can not comment on these 2 criteria but was restricted to this sites software.

We have been going to the clinic for a few years. Quite expensive but we love the vets and the techs. The front desk staff are extremely rude both on the phone and in person.

I've had nothing but good experiences at this clinic with my 4 cats. It doesn't matter which Vet saw my pets, they were treated with love and top quality care. I had one very sick cat that they saved not once but twice with minimal cost and the least invasive treatment. They don't always go for the most expensive option first. As with anything, a well educated customer will get the best value. This clinic never pressures you into anything. I was encouraged by the Vet to buy prescription cat food from them but thought I knew better. I went with a cheaper version at the pet store and my cat became very ill again. I learned my lesson and started buying prescription food from clinic. My cat hasn't suffered a relapse since. I've saved money not having my cat treated at the Vet so the extra cost of the food is worth it. Thanks for the quality care.

I was not pleased with this clinic at all. I brought my dog in for the first time, and the vet did not even introduce herself or make any kind of pleasantries to me or my dog. She handled him quite roughly, trying to get him to lie on his side on the exam table- very unnecessary. Poor communication - none at all really. Terrible 'bedside' manner (why are you a veterinarian if animals seem to annoy you?) I still don't even know the woman's name - needless to say I did not take my dog back for the follow up and instead went to another animal clinic in Dundas - Spencer Creek (what a difference - Spencer Creek is amazing!)

I had a horrible experience there. I had been going there for a couple of years But was never overly fond of service. One day my cat was hit by a car we took her there. They told us to leave her there while they do some tests a couple ours latter they phoned and said she had a broken leg And I would have to bring in $2500 this afternoon or have her put down immediatly! I was in shock and went to the hospital to discuss but no one wanted to discuss it, it was a matter of paying or they would put her down. I then asked for her records and xrays as I wanted a second opinion. They dis not agree but I finally got the paperwork and went to another vet. The new vet squeezed me into her day immediatly even though we had not been patients before. Anyway the new vet fixed her for half the cost.A couple weeks later there was an article in paper were dundas fixed a stray cat thy was hit by a car for free buty cat they were ready to kill!

A few months ago i took my dog there for his anual shots. They charged me 30 for a Drontal deworming tablet which is 8 dollars anywhere else. I just got a dog so i didn't know this. They completely ripped me off. I found out when i happen be at a different vet. They were appalled that this vet charged me almost 4x the regular price.

Large, clean facility with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The only reason we do not use their services anymore is because we relocated to BC! Their vets were very attentive to our dog's needs and made sure he always got lots of praise and low-calorie cookies. They are willing to order in a special diet from the companies they deal with. Their staff was always happy to see our dog and made us feel very welcome. We do not feel they are overpriced but there are always "hidden" fees that creep up at payment time. We felt slightly pressured to neuter our dog, the only thing holding us back is his underlying heart murmur which could complicate the procedure. Despite that they tried very hard to convince us that the procedure could be done safely -- with some extra, expensive tests added on! Over all, always a friendly and good experience, and as mentioned we would still go there if we could.
