We have been clients at Bayview Village for a long time, and Dr Honest has seen a number of our pets. The other reviews are correct in that Dr Honest works a lot less now. We have seen Dr Marion twice now. She is very knowledgeable, and obviously loves the pets she sees. We know with that with time we will develop the same relationship with her that we have with Dr Honest.

Dr. Honest was my vet for many years and is very knowledgeable and empathetic. Will provide you will test results in an understandable matter and provide you with his expertise advice. Unfortunately, he's not around as much as he used to be. When dealing with Dr. Marion in regards to my senior pet she was cold, unempathetic and try to get you to do unnecessary tests and procedures for a money grab. I would never want a pet in her care.

Horrible staff,heartless money-grabbers. When our beloved cat was dying they gave us ridiculous price as well as were threatening us and report on us to AAC when we chose another vet.

They are simply the best! My dog is always happy to go see them because she is excellent taken care by all the staff members. Highly recommend.

I wanted to write this review for a while but my dog died in July and was unable to do it till now. Dr. Honest and his staff provided great care for our dog. They were always there for us and guided us through all his emergencies and he had a few of these. They were thorough in all their assessments and because of this Dr. Honest, Stitch received appropriate treatment. Dr. Honest easily referred to specialist. As a result Stitch lived 2 1/2 year longer after a cancer diagnosis because it was assessed early.

Very happy customers here! We have 2 cats, one of them was diagnosed type 2 Diabetic and Dr. Marion helped us figure everything out. Not having any experience with the disease in our family/friend circle, it was very much needed and appreciated that Dr. Marion helped us through a tough time and helped us to be self sufficient in caring for our diabetic cat at home. I am the type of person that asks a lot of questions/worries a lot, and the Staff at Bayview Village really take the time to make sure we are taken care of and all questions are answered. I 100% recommend Bayview Village Veterinary Clinic to anyone!

Dr. Marion diagnosed my cat with cancer. It was horrible news, but Dr. Marion was so gentle when she told me. I wasn’t ready to say good-bye, so Dr. Marion did everything to keep my cat comfortable so that I could have more time with him. I was so lucky to get to get that extra time. When it was finally time to put him down, Dr. Marion was so supportive and sympathetic. When I am ready to get another cat, I will definitely be bringing him (or her) to see Dr. Marion.

I recently had an emergency with my dog's eye and called the clinic an hour before their closing time. I was thrilled that Dr. Marion was able to have a look a my poor old dog and told me to bring her right in. I knew that I was lucky, as they are often very busy and fully booked. Dr Marion was very friendly and patient with my difficult dog, and took her time to examine the eye and explain everything to me even though there were other appointments going on at the same time. My dog and I had a great experience with Dr Marion, and I'm guessing that the negative reviews of her on this website are from those with unrealistic expectations, or perhaps from people who are just not very nice. I will never take my pets to another clinic.

The care and attention to detail is outstanding at this clinic. Dr.Marion has had a few tough situations with my dogs and handled them beautifully. She called me to give me updates, and I really appreciated that personal touch. Dr.Honest is also amazing with my dogs, as are the rest of the staff at the clinic. I would highly recommend them - they treat your pets like they were one of their own. That's all you really want from a vet!!

I have known Dr. Marion for the past four years and during all these years Dr. Marion has exuded nothing but excellent care and professionalism. Our CodeeBear was diagnosed as an allergy dog very early in his life and without Dr. Marion and her expertise, knowledge and experience we would not be where we are today...on a road to a healthy life style for our dog. We are so very grateful for total care and understanding that she has provided us over the 4 years. She has great passion and we would be absolutely lost without her. My experience was very similar to the last post. Dr. Honest and his wife are wonderful vets and the staff are pretty good. I have recommended so many friends to this clinic but I'm sad to say that I won't be doing that anymore. Dr. Honest is never available for appointments and dr. Marian seems to be the only one available. My first experience with her was terrible and she also misdiagnosed my dog. She has very poor bedside manners and was quite cold during the visit. I would never see her again. As a result I often find myself visiting the emergency clinics. I am really hoping to see Dr. Honest back more often and his wife Dr. Sugar who are the reasons I started going there.

Dr. Honest seems to be the only good thing about this clinic, he is thorough and caring, but he is not there too often. Dr.Marion on the other hand who works with Dr. Honest has misdiagnosed my dog's minor problem, the medication she prescribed caused severe complications that crippled and almost killed her. I found Dr. Marion uncaring and rude, she would not even see my dog nor me for that matter after we came back to the clinic with severe side effects and weight loss. My dog was seen and cared for by the technicians rather than the Vet, but were charged the full amount. The routine tests cost a small fortune and I had to take my sick dog to another clinic to get proper care. I have owned pets all my life, but never had such a negative experience with any other Vet.

Not sure why a previous reviewer used wording such "greedy" & "expensive". My vet costs went down by 30% when I changed to BVVC. As for unnecessary tests, in my experience, Dr. H. has endeavoured to minimize my costs by first doing the cheaper diagnostic test & if the results justify further tests, calls me to discuss options with associated benefits, costs & recommendations. As owner of a cat with a multitude of health issues over 19 yrs, I attribute her current good health to Dr. H.'s care. He has never hesitated to call me on his day off with test results so I wouldn't worry. With another cat that developed cancer, one of the staff dropped Meds off at my house when I was unable to make it to the clinic before closing. I should also mention that his diagnostic skills are superlative! My previous clinic charged me hundreds of $$ for 3 return visits & 3 wrong diagnoses. When I took my now quite ill cat to Dr. H., he immediately identified a hyperthyroid & kitty was soon good as new!

Does not have a clue what he is doing. Rip off. Went to another vet who was shocked at prices and treatment given to my dog. I am in process of writing to Ontario vet board to complain.

Location is super clean and staff is nice but they make me feel guilty every time I go when I refuse to all the extremelly expensive and unnecessary exams they try to push for the money. Dr. Honest is friendly yes, but very greedy

I love the staff at Bayview Village Vet clinic. They're wonderful, caring people who looked after my dog beautifully. Yes, they are expensive, but well worth it. Dr. Honest always took lots of time with my dog, Roxie. I hated to leave such a great vet when we moved away!

I like the clinic there, but no longer trust them and feel like they are out for money, and money only. I had my dog on two different medications, every day, for the rest of his life. They told me he needed anti-anxiety medication too... but my dog is the happiest thing ever. He has no anxiety. I took the dog to a different vet and was told to take him off the medications entirely. A year later and my dog has never been healthier! Once, he had fallen and sprained his leg, and was limping a bit. I was told he needed a $2000 surgery to fix it. I left it alone, and two days later he was fine. This was when I decided to stop going to them entirely.

They always make me wait 30 minutes after our appointed time which really angers me. They should keep appointments further apart rather than double booking.Extremely expensive, in comparison to other vets in the city. Facilities are clean, though I don't know why my dog was screaming when they took him to the back room. No idea what they were doing to him, and it makes me question their ability to handle a dog who can pretty much tolerate anything.

I'm surprised at the positive ratings. Facilities nice, but everyone I've talked to in the 'hood shared my experience that these folks are out for cash, and like to try to push un-necessary surgeries and treatment. I have had nothing but bad experiences with them, especially in emergency situations when I've had to do there due to distance. I don't doubt the competence, but I'm suspicious of the greed. Beware of expensive tests if you go there.

I brought my 3 year old dog to Dr. Honest and asked about the build up on her teeth, which I was concerned about. I was told I would have to get her teeth cleaned, which would cost about $3000 or try some of their special (and expensive) food. Of course we tried the food first and it didn't change a thing. Finally we did some research and switched her diet completely and the build up was gone within a month! They also keep prescribing 6 months of heart worm meds, to be started each June...apparently to go until November?? We spoke to other vets and were told this was unnecessary. We were paying hundreds of dollars for this medication.The tipping point was when we found a stray dog and brought her in. They couldn't have cared less and we went home with her. We found another stray a year later and took her to a different vet. They took her in, looked her over, kept her there and found her owner! Staff SEEMS nice, but a little deeper and the truth comes out. Just a big money grab!

The best caring vet professionals I have ever found in Toronto. As most veterinarians, their services aren't really cheap, but they are truly considerate in terms of treatments for your pet.In my case, Dr. Honest has been absolutely fabulous. What I like about this clinic is that you won't get charged for unnecessary treatments or studies. They treat your pet as if it was theirs, and the personalized attention reflects that they have passion for what they do. :) Honestly,... the best VETERINARIAN in TORONTO. :)

Not the cheapest vet in town for sure but their location should've clued you in. Price/cost is not really a concern since you should get pet insurance if you didn't already. The staff are all professional and good looking. (If they didn't take care of themselves they prolly didn't take care of the animals!) I did have to wait a few times despite having an appointment but I've returned the favour by being late a few times also and they were equally patient. Make sure you get decent pet insurance and you can walk in this place without any worries of their higher prices.

Wonderful clinic - clean, good location. Dr. Honest saved our kitten's life a couple of years ago and took deep discounts on the week-long intensive emergency care our Leo needed. He showed great empathy at Leo's condition. Although he always cautioned us in advance on the odds of Leo's recovery and potential costs, he never gave up on our kitten's treatment until he had made a full recovery. He called us personally several times a day to inform us on how Leo was doing, and we really felt he tried to get to know each and every one of his patients. Dr. Greensberg was equally great and wonderful with pets.
