I would not recommend this Animal Hospital to ANYONE. Every sentence starts with $$$$$. In looking for best options for my dog I was hounded by the staff person who kept sticking a debt machine in my face for payment and insisting nothing more would be done without payment. I owed this facility nothing from the past. This is a terrible place to have to take pets afterhours. Again I would not recommend them to anyone. They are all about money, have no care or concern for the patient or the owner, and the vets are not much better. Horrible experience.

Want to thank Dr. Deluca and staff for taking care of our Mac. Made us feel comfortable and did great job on suturing. Have been to another ER facility in the past and would definitely (hopefully not) return to the Walker Road ER location. Wait time at any ER is to be expected. Staff very knowledgeable and re-assuring.

Out for the money obviously. Brought my 8 week pup in after being sent from my vet for meningitis symptoms. Requested upon recommendation to start broad spectrum antibiotic and prednisone. Also run a fluid drip. Sat there two hours when asked what was done so far and was told nothing , a deposit wasn’t put down. Why the hell didn’t you tell me right away that money cash dollars first before touching him. also seems to only care about the money and not about the life of a pet. I’m fully capable of financial coverage and I asked a few times to ensure the health of my dog. Show some understanding, remorse, and connect with people. Explain what you feel is wrong and then do a differential diagnosis to have a back up plan. Also tell me how you can help and save our puppy. Don’t ask me what treatments should be performed as we don’t know, hence why we came there to start. I advised the I wanted treatment to begin immediately as the dog must be treated. well it wasn’t Explain that to

Not only did this vet put my cat in surgery for nothing they almost killed him. My kitten is only 2months and he almost done because the vet didn’t care about doing more test, care more about the surgery and money. They didn’t even properly stitch him back together, and they cut a piece of his intestine. Theses mistakes almost costed him to die. His intestines fell out while I was in bed one morning had to rush him to another vet who saved his life, and found where they cut his intestine, which caused rotting of his intestines. This vet messed up big and cost me 3000$ not including the 2nd surgery I had to do to fix what they did. My kitten has an infection that needed antibiotics not surgery!!!!

Hands down the best care I have ever received for my pets. Kind, compassionate and no surprise charges. They explained everything to me before hand. Ask for Dr. DeLuca or Dr. Kaye, you will not be disappointed. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, I honestly do not understand the low ratings that some reviewers have given.

I can't believe some of these poor ratings. These folks are my heroes. And as far as $$ are concerned, I thought they were cheap. I brought my dog bella there 3 times and was nothing less than impressed. Dr. Watkin, Dr. Wong and all the staff made me feel comfortable. It costs $$$ to have pets, do people should keep $$$ in their budget if their pets fall ill. Vets aren't registered with ohip.i have recommended the services here to everybody I know with pets. They have the cheapest services I have encountered. Just moved back to Toronto and will continue Bella's care here!!

I called in to inquire about how much it would cost to get my cat spayed, and the FIRST thing I was asked is if I would also like her to get declawed..After I was taken off hold while she was getting "an estimate ready for me", I got $618 plus tax, for spaying, IV, pain meds, cone, microchip, and a couple other things that were not even remotely close to my cat being spayed. I was truly horrified that in nthis day and age, people still amputate animal body parts for their convenience. I told her nicely to please talk to the vet to reconsider declawing cats, as it's well known to anyone with a brain how devastating that is to an animal. She started laughing and said it's not her problem or up to her. I bet it would be if her fingers were on the line. So I will continue my search, because I'm not going there.

I've been attending this emergency vet for years. They have treated many of my animals. They are always caring, the front desk staff is always friendly. Even at 2 a.m., they are on point. I recommend them, especially Dr. DeLuca, to anyone and everyone. I have brought dogs and cats to them and they have always diagnosed and treated with care and consideration. Highly highly recommend this clinic!

Been going here for years, had an 18 year old cat, and now have a 4 year old dog, very well treated, facilitates visits according to my schedule, pay bit more for that convenience, but worth it. Staff is always very nice and accommodating. Vets are very nice and explain everything to you in terms that you understand. Have never pushed any treatments that were not necessary. Like most other vets, if you don't have the money to pay, then they will not treat your animal. Would never go anywhere else, unless I believed I needed a second opinion. Found them very passionate and compassionate. We had to put our beloved cat (18 yrs old) down, and our dog (15 yrs old or so). They look after our little four year old dog and she has no fear going there either.

On a late Sunday night our 3 year old husky cross started vomiting blood and had extreme diarrhea which was also bloody and she was extremely lethargic. We brought her to this location because it was the only 24 hour emerg for pets. After 3 hours of being there, and $600 dollars worth of tests later, they told us she has Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis and to treat her and hospitalize her it would be another $1500, and basically told us we were sh*t out of luck because we could not immediately pay the entire bill at 3:30 in the morning. They made us leave without giving her any proper treatment, and then proceeded to tell us that she was going to die without treatment. Their entire bedside manner was insane. I don't think they realize there was thin walls and we could hear every obscene thing they were whispering to eachother. After finding a few organizations that would help us with the cost, they refused to contact them for us, even though they require the vet to inquire, not the owner.

Cut open a dog and sent it home with a gaping open wound - no pain meds - the dog was crying in pain all night - brought to a new vet in the morning and that vet was shocked at the treatment of this dog. Terrible, terrible - never go there.

I brought my puppy to first get her flea medicine put on her, & for her second set of shots. The staff were so nice & my vet was very helpful & caring for my puppy. When she had her examination done and was getting her shots done, she thoroughly explained to me everyshot that was given & what it does. I couldnt be more happier with my experience! My puppy goes for her last set of shots tomorrow morning & I think even she will miss not seeing the staff there!

After rushing our very lethargic, vomiting dog to this 24 Vet, we were told that by the only vet on duty that our dog needed an ultrasound but they were not trained to do it. They did an X-ray, gave him medication, and asked us to bring him back for mor X-rays the next day saying he might have garstoenteritis, , a foreign body, salmonella, or a tumour????? They had no idea what was wrong but charged us almost $500. We rushed instead him to a Veterinary Hospital in Michigan where they were excellent he was hospitalized and is improving... I would not ever go back to Walker Road Animal Hospital

My son brought my dog in on a Sunday. Our dog was having a very violent seizure and the staff was excellent in running out to the car and bringing her into the clinic. The vet immediatly left the patient he was seeing and cared for our dog. As my son was alone and I was out of town the vet called me and explained all of my options, I never once felt pressured to take one procedure over another and I never felt rushed to make a decision. Unfortunatly our girl didn't make it and my son's emotional needs were met on every level. This is the 2nd time that we had to take our dog to the emergency clinc and both times we were satisfied with the service.

I recently brought my Golden Retreiver pup to be spayed at the Walker Road Animal Clinic. I was very pleased with the care my pup received. The staff was very kind, as I called several times during the day to check her status. I found the vet to be very professional and his manner sincere and genuine. He was very patient explaining the procedure to me and what I could expect following the operation. I have two Golden Retreivers and I am very particular who I allow to care for them. I will continue to bring my dogs to this clinic for both routine checks and any sudden situations requiring immediate medical attention

Left my dog unattended a great deal of time over @ 5 days she was there. Performed tests that were not requested/properly explained. Inserted a catheter to make it easier for the staff but caused the dog to no longer be able to get around. Ignored my frequent requests to deal with laboured breathing (which wasn't improved by being locked down with the catheter). My dog passed away. Then I was charged a great deal of money.

This vet(s) charged me $1000 to tell me to take my puppy to Michigan Vetrinary Specialist in Michigan.....who had him diagnosed (properly) in 20min. Just go there (google the address) the next time you need help....24hr. place and trust me, you'll be amazed. Well worth the drive and money.

I brought my cat to this emergency clinic when it was after hours as I could not wait to see out regular veterinarian. On arrival the vet who was working was very kind and caring to my animal however she was unsure of the cause of his distress and condition. I gave her history of my cat and current medications which were overlooked and instead many other possibilities with the need of many tests to determine what it was. After nearly 1000 dollars the vet did not have any definite answers, my cat was treated but still no answers. On the Monday my regular vet felt bad to tell me that all the tests were done unnecessarily as his bloody nose Was a side effect of having the overactive thyroid disorder that he has. They overlooked his current issue and tested him for everything else costing me an awful lot of money for nothing. To make it worse I spoke to the director of my concern of this overlook, and he was completely rude, could of cared less and said at least my cat was still alive.

I recently had to help my neighbour by taking her cat here to have his eye looked at. We had scheduled an appointment it was not an emnergency. The vet examined him and diagnosed an infection, prescribed a cream but did nothing to show her how to apply it as well if I hadn't asked the attendent she wouldn't have shown her how to do it either. I had to tell her and show her and she was charged 134.00 for this examine maybe I should have a portion of the fee or she should get a rebate for the lack of instruction. She is almost totally deaf and stated that when she went in to see the Dr. She only has 10% hearing which doesn't improve much with her hearing aid that is why I go with her. You could have taken the time to show her and explain how to use this medication and I would think this should probably happen to all of your patients. Just some food for thought and about how to deal with your clients it would help your business.

I took my cat in for emergency treatment and he was put in a cage located closest to the floor, where he could not be easily seen, even though he was in critical condition. Thus, hen he was in cardiac distress, nobody saw / noticed that and, so, he died. I would never trust this clinic with any of my future pets.
