The staff at Bloorcourt very much care about our four-legged family members and they are always supportive and helpful with us humans as well. We have been coming to the clinic for over 15 years and their quality of care and support has been consistent. I dont know how they do it but whatever they are doing, they are doing it right.

Vets and vet techs at Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic are exceptionally skilled, caring, and thorough. They are particularly good at explaining treatment options to come up with the best plan in each situation. I feel confident that the care my pets receive there is high-quality, and fortunate that my local vet clinic is a place of kindness and compassion

I finally found an amazing Veterinarian who I have great rapport with. Dr. Krystyna is amazing: professional, knowledgable, kind, caring and compassionate. My cat is in the best of hands with her. All the staff, from front desk, to Veterinary Technicians and Anesthesiologists are great at their jobs. I have found everyone to be supportive, professional, easy to talk to/with. Please keep in mind, that if we went to our own Doctor, they would get blood work done, x-rays, perhaps ultrasounds, MRI's etc. All of that costs money! Veterinarians have to do this even more so, because our precious Furbabies cannot tell us what is wrong. Yes, it can be costly; it is a privilege to own a pet these days. Perhaps something to think about before getting a pet! My cat had extensive periodontal disease, that was only seen in xrays, that I was shown. I knew he was in a great deal of pain, so he most of them surgically removed. Amazing follow-ups. I highly recommend Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic.

This review is for Dr. Mark, who is performing acupuncture on my cat Norman. Dr. Mark is very compassionate. He is very gentle and loving toward Norman. Norman is enjoying the acupuncture, always falling asleep during the sessions. Acupuncture is helping Norman a lot with his pain.

I have used this clinic for years although I also have a house call vet, so it is only recently that I have been using their services for my cat on a regular basis. All the staff are great - the front desk staff, the vet techs and Dr. Krystina. They are extremely pro-active and provide information and support, along with a range of options. The front desk staff are friendly and attentive regardless of how busy they are and have been very helpful in assisting me in caring for my older cat with kidney disease and arthritis. I particularly appreciate Dr. Krystina's suggestion of treatment for my cat's arthritis as it has improved the quality of his life a great deal. I have no hesitation in recommending this clinic.

Have taken my pets here for over 30 years. So very caring, love animals, staff corresponds quickly by phone, email. Dr’s take plenty of time to talk to you about your pets care. Wonderful. Try this clinic once, you will never go anywhere else.

The Bloorcourt team were with us from our pup's first vaccine at 8w until she passed as a very old girl (14y 11m). Always kind, always happy, always supportive, and always remembering the tiny details of pet and owner, the Bloircourt team is exceptional. While our old girl might not have cared for being at the clinic, she always, always had a smile and tail wag for the team because she loved people, especially these ones! As pet owners we wholly support our pup's opinion and recommend Bloorcourt for the journey you take with your furry friend(s).

Brought our cat in to see Dr. Jack. He was very attentive and didn’t rush through the exam. He was very good with keeping our feral cat calm and gained her trust. He explained our options without treating us like a couple of “suckers”. We went to an emergency vet a few days before and were told her coughing and fever was from a heart condition and that she needed evey test in the book, which was a lie. Dr. Jack ruled out any long term conditions without draining us. He did not pressure us into tests. He explained which tests would help diagnose the quickest and which tests wouldn’t be efficient. He was able to diagnose pneumonia with an xray and nothing more. Stevie is now on her way to recovery and we will keep supporting this vet clinic!

They care - that’s #1. But they also care about you. Your pet is always treated with dignity, and you as an owner are treated as part of the team that takes care of your pet. I know a lot of people are concerned about costs - They are reasonable in comparison to what else is out there, I think maybe even a little less expensive.

Bloorcourt has been looking after our family dogs/ cats for over two decades and they have never failed us. Dr. Jack looked after our animals as if they were his own and now that he is retired, Dr. Galina has taken up the torch and we are so thankful to both of them and the wonderful staff.

I have always had a great experience at this vet clinic. The vets are kind and sympathetic with my kitties (particurlarly, Dr. Aleks is very patient with my youngest - a tortie who is very strong-willed and independent-minded). They do not push annual vaccination for older and/or indoor cats and I totally agree. Also, they do not overprescribe antibiotiocs (only when necessary) and, again, I am in complete agreement.

I have had a horrible experience. I was sent for an ultrasound (890.00$) before a second. The second picked up what rendered the first irrelevant. I got an apology. Meanwhile, the professed "holistic" approach is nonexistent. I've had experience with homeopathic care before. It is tailored to the specific problem and to the animal. Moreover, there is attention to the environment of the clinic. This one looks like a very old time dental office. The receptionist opened the door on a surgery to ask a question! I was horrified because I could easily see in at some poor animal under the knife. So far I've been sent an email of a textbook page!! I've been left for the long weekend. Given this has been my best friend for 13 years and given that I've willingly paid lots now, I expect more attention PERIOD!! Not sure where to go. A good holistic vet hospital is needed in Toronto!!

If I could rate this clinic higher, I would. Dr. Galina fixed my dog's problem after one visit! I have spent hundreds of dollars at my last vet on tests, med etc with no solution to the problem. Dr. Galina had an easy, inexpensive solution and it worked! The staff is friendly and extremely efficient. I'm a happy client.

Our 12 year old cat became very ill. Dr. Bruce at Bloorcourt Veterinary Clinic was excellent at creative problem solving and was very clear about our options as the months progressed. When it came to the point where nothing more could be done she was kind, caring and compassionate. We could not have asked for a better vet.

This is the only vet that i trust in the city. I used to leave around the area and they always took good care of my dog. Now I live far but still prefer to bring him here because he is properly diagnosed and treated. The price is fair, and i know for sure because i have checked prices for the same procedures all over the city. My dog had an emergency in december and he was bleeding a lot, I called them, they advised me to go to the closest vet, which I did, but the attention and quality was not as good as it is with Dr. Jack. At Bloorcourt Vet clinic, they alwasy do what is best for your pet, they are friendly, compasionate, and very very helpful, i would recommend it to any pet owner in Toronto.

Bloorcourt Vet Clinic is the only place I trust to bring my cat. The staff there is always friendly, patient, knowledgeable and accommodating. My cat gets easily stressed around big dogs in the waiting room so the staff has let me wait upstairs where it's quiet. The doctor even came upstairs so not to disturb my cat. I didn't ask for this; they offered. In emergency situations, they've been able to see my cat almost right away. Obviously someone else is going to get delayed while the doctor tends to my emergency. On occasion I've been the one waiting while the doctor tends to someone else's emergency. Anyone complaining of wait times has been fortunate enough to never have had an emergency with their pet. In times when my cat has had to have extensive care, they try their best to keep my costs down all while providing excellent care. On one visit, the doctor saved me over $700 because of her experience and knowledge. This is the only place I recommend to friends looking for a new vet.

I recently took my dog here as he had a ear infection. This is my third visit here and to be honest every time I leave I am very unhappy with the service. The staff can be very rude at times and have attitude problems, and the doctors as well. It seems as though they are depressed or hate their job. For example, as a new dog owner I am unsure how to hold my little guy tightly so she can give him an injection and because she had to get help the doctor lashed out and give me a whole lecture on how I should hold him properly. If i am paying 500.00 for my dogs vet visit then I believe he should be screened properly by at least a nurse and vet. I apologize if I am not experienced. Along with this I feel as though I constantly have to ask questions can you check his stomach can you check this.. when my dogs problems should be on file. You feel rushed in this clinic and honestly the medication is almost doubled in cost compared to other places. Definitely considering another vet!

We switched to Bloorcourt after a few bad experiences with our old vet clinic. We are extremely happy we made the change. Dr. Judy Barnes is knowledgeable, attentive and really takes the time to listen to all your concerns. She was the only vet that was able to help our older dog's digestive issues. We are so grateful to her for that. Sure, you may have to wait for your appointment but that's because the vets don't rush their patients. We really appreciate that. The vet techs and front desk staff are also very friendly. We can't recommend Bloorcourt highly enough.

Hi have been going to Bloorcourt now for about 5 years. It takes me almost 1 hour to get there, however I make the trip because I trust them and have not found anything near as good as them closer to home. (Believe me, I've tried several clinics throughout the years.) My dogs and cats have been treated by both Dr. Jack and Dr. Maria. Both are very thorough and have never rushed me. Yes, sometimes I've had to wait, but usually it's because an emergency came in. Dr. Maria came to my home to euthanize my dogs (on 2 separate occasions). She was very informative and empathetic throughout the whole process. All the staff there have been pleasant. I can't imagine going anywhere else. I highly recommend them to anyone in Toronto.

I went to Bloorcourt for the first time on Saturday. They were super nice, very informative and knowledgeable. The clinic was super busy and I ended up waiting a bit but I didn't mind because the vet was super nice and answered all my questions. They were clearly focused on the needs of my dogs. Which brings me to the fact that my dogs were very relaxed with them even my male dog who tends to be fairly skidish most of the time was a lot more relaxed than he usually is which was great. Our last vet was quick to force us into any sort of examination that would make them money but Bloorcourt was not like that at all.I will continue to go to them. Thank you for renewing my faith in vetrinary clinics.

I have been to several veterinarians, by far this has to be the best place i have taken my dogs to! The vets are amazing as well i have to give credit to the staff who work there, always pleasant and willing to help out whether it be in the office, exam room or basically running around like i usually see them! Every one still takes the time to make sure we always feel welcomed and that we are always comfortable! I will not take my pets anywhere else!

My experience with Bloorcourt has been with Dr. Barnes. She is an exceptional vet. (I have been to many) She is down to earth, discusses options and consequences with the pet owner to allow them to make an informed decision. She is able to have an intelligent conversation with you without being condescending, patronizing or dismissive. I have felt 0 sales pitch from this Dr. I have never felt rushed in her office. She is thorough and listens to my observations about my pet and responds thoughtfully. It is clear to me that she cares about the welfare of my dog and about the animals in her care first and foremost. The front staff are friendly enough, but are a bit too willing to dispense medical opinions without knowing what they are talking about. I can tolerate this, to have my dog seen by, who I believe is one of the best vets in Toronto. Can't praise Dr. Barnes skills, knowledge and service enough.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Parente for several years. She has always treated them with great care and compassion. She helped immensely when one of my cats became very sick and answered all my questions, thoroughly, thoughtfully and with lots of patience. I trust her with my beloved animals which is the greatest recommendation I could offer.

After relocating to Toronto, my boyfriend and I took our dog to Bloorcourt on my aunt's suggestion (her two dogs are regular patients). Yes, sometimes you do have to wait, but (in my experience) it is because the vet will speak with you for as long as you need him to, and answering any applicable questions. I have not had an experience with the female vet, but Dr. Jack is an amazing person. He is a part of Vets Without Borders, his clinic takes part in many different charities, and their prices are the most reasonable I have found in the area. Our dog is NEVER afraid of going to this clinic, I have nothing but good things to say about it (and so does my aunt).

I recently took my cat in because i was certain he had " feline miliary dermatitis ", common name is scabby cat disease, which i researched on the internet. When i arrived 5 minutes before the appointment, i was made to wait for 30-40 minutes. The receptionist seemed ignorant of anything i asked her, and her bedside manner was clutzy, with no regard for the animals[ she burst into the exam room when my petrified cat was being checked, and scared him]. The vet did not do a thorough exam, did not check nails, eyes and just a quick glance in the mouth[not acceptable for the amount i paid. When i told her the symptoms and what i thought, she left the room and came back with a syringe, she was about to stab my cat with this when i stopped her and asked what this was. She told me it was a steroid[ with no explanation of what it would do for my cat. She then poured advantage 18 on the back of his neck. I told her he had no signs of flees.. now my cat has lost his appetite, and seems depressed
