Click to report rating    6/25/19   1     4     4     1   The situation regarding my cat when we put her down was poorly handled. My suggestion, just find another vet office. RID: 68175
Click to report rating    9/22/17   5     5     5     5   We brought our very sick cat in to be euthanized. The staff was compassionate, walked us through the procedure and told us what to expect. Their empathy was genuine. They gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. A few days later we were able to pick up our cat's ashes which were placed a lovely wooden chest, and a ceramic copy of her paw print. RID: 64702

10/14/16   5     5     5     5   Oakridge animal clinic is taking things to the next level! They TRULY care about their clients, even enough to offer complimentary beverages and snacks if there is a need to wait. Which personally,I haven't had time to indulge in yet as they have always been on time when I've taken my fur babies in.The staff is so caring, they know my fur babies by name, they take the time to get to know me and my family and make us feel extremely comfortable. The veterinarians are amazing, I trust them completely! I cannot say enough great things about this place. Sit, Stay, Heal is their motto and that's exactly what we intend to do! RID: 61815
Click to report rating    10/6/16   1     2     1     1   When my little girl was dying I called to bring her in to "her" vet. They couldn't fit her in...They told me to bring her in the morning. She wasn't going to make it until the morning and I didn't want her to suffer. They then suggested I take her to the emergency vet - someone I didn't know and a place that costs a lot of money. I had no choice. They were really nice at the emergency vet, but after reflecting and taking numerous pets to these people I could not believe the lack of compassion! If you want someone who cares about your pet and you - don't take them here! RID: 61756

3/31/14   5     4     5     5   A quiet friendly small town feel at this clinic. Front counter staff greeted kids and their best friend Paws the cat. My kids felt Paws was in good hands and went to school worry free. Every parent and cat owner should appreciate this small comfort. When picking up Paws the tech came out and talked us through Paws' experience. She then talked the kids through what they needed to do for he next few days to be apart of the recovery process. They loved it and I can say my kids are now clients or life.... Oakridge vet clinic is a part of our extended family and we look forward to our next checkup. RID: 50799

2/20/14   2     4     2     1   The owner is suppose to be a exotic specialist. But he had no idea what was wrong with my rat. One of them had URI but the vet said he was fine. He was not open to my information, and the articles i brought in. My rat is now chronically congested since his URI was not treated properly in the beginning. I have now found a great vet who has done neuters for me and who is open to learning more about rats. I would never recommend them for exotics. They are okay for cats and dog.s They never get to know you or your pet though. RID: 49954

11/4/13   5     5     5     5   Moved to London and didn't know which clinic to try. I called several clinics and decided on Oakridge since the receptionist took the time on the phone and answered all my questions. I have a new kitten and the appointment was very thorough. I met two of the vets there and they were both extremely nice - the second vet was just passing by then came in to gush about how cute my kitten is! The vet spent 30 mins with us then the technician came in to demonstrate a nail trim. I couldn't have asked for a more complete appointment. Never felt pushed into anything - they gave me options and then are letting me decide for next time. Good value since you get lots of time with the actual vet. Will be coming back for sure! Definitely recommend!! RID: 48048

Click to report rating    9/29/13   5     5     5     5   The staff made me feel welcome as a new client. Vets took extra time to answer all my questions. Did not feel rushed at all. Will be returning and will recommend to my friends. RID: 47288
Click to report rating    9/29/13   1     4     2     2   I use to take my pets here. But when i got 3 boy rats, and one developed a URI. They new nothing about it, the owners says he's an exotic specialist, but even though my boy was clearly congested, all he said was "maybe he misses his mom, rats make a lot of noises". Never going back there again for rats, they are okay for dogs. Not very personal though, they dont take the time to get to know you or your pet. RID: 47276

9/12/13   5     5     5     4   Have been here 3 times with our new puppy. A wonderful clinic with outstanding vets and staff. Dr. Moffat explains everything very thoroughly letting me know all my options and the cost. Staff are wonderful! I wish my own doctor's office was this caring and thorough! Vet highly recommended! RID: 46908
8/21/13   1     3     2     3   One of the worst vets I have ever had the experience of using. They are really pushy, trying to get you to purchase unnecessary vaccinations, dog food, and training. Everything I said I was doing, they would yell at me, even called me a bad mother because I opted out of the vaccine for the raccoon disease. They assured me they knew my breed well, I have a breed with specific needs when it comes to care, took my dog in and they had no idea what the breed was or the special care that it requires. Overall, I would not recommend this vet. RID: 46415
Click to report rating    4/28/13   3     3     3     2   So disappointed Dr Butler is no longer here. We were not impressed that she had moved on we were told she was on maternity leave. We felt that the new vets (there are always new vets at this clinic) were rushed and clearly did not reAd about our babies before coming in to see us. Very frustrating. RID: 42145
Click to report rating    4/8/13   5     5     5     5   Well located and easy to find. Not in a mall! Free standing with lots of grass to walk our dogs. The staff are amazing! Great service, everything is explained so even our kids understand what the pets are getting done. Our pets love to go see Dr. Moffat and Dr. Delangley. Not the cheapest but top value for money. RID: 41626
Click to report rating    4/8/13   5     5     5     5   Although we moved a fair distance from the hospital we cam back after trying several vets that were closer to us. All the staff truly care and always go the extra mile. This is the 3rd pet we've had here and no matter which doctor of the group I've seen they are always caring and really knowledgable (nice to have a few as they are able to discuss some of the weird things Buster had and figure out a reason without having to go to the vet college for a referral). What else is nice is that if they are not sure of whats up they'll tell you up front and contact specialists for you to get advice. You get what you pay for and these vets are worth it! RID: 41625
Click to report rating    8/20/12   5     5     5     5   I have taken my dog to the Oakridge Animal Clinic for years. I recently had to put my dog down due to many health issues. The staff were so helpful and caring during this heartbreaking time. I received flowers and a very touching card, they also made me a beautiful paw print, at no charge. This clinic goes the extra mile, I recommend this clinic to all my friends and family. RID: 36686

8/14/12   5     4     5     5   LOVE THIS CLINIC! The staff was warm, welcoming, knowledgable, and helpful. The vet was amazing- I never felt rushed or dismissed and she addressed all of my concerns. My dog has been dealing with chronic arthritis and liver disease (I have seen several clinics in London), and he is now the most comfortable he has been in years. I was offered treatment options that I did not even know were possible and it truly has made all the difference. Thank you!!! RID: 36514
Click to report rating    7/1/12   1     2     2     1   Near malpractce. Our dog was suffering with congestive heart failure with mitral valve disease and grade 2-3 mumur. Vet on staff diagnosed with kennel cough and sent us home with hycodan. Poor medicine on part of this newer vet. My dog suffered and was not treated appropriately. Would not reccomend newer vets here. Be careful here. Lots of $ and poor quality meicine RID: 35341
Click to report rating    4/23/12   5     4     4     4   We are new to the area and took our dog and cat here. We were very happy with Dr. Butler. She seemed very knowledgable and both pets were very comfortable with her. She provided us with options and was upfront about costs. We will be back. We are happy to have found a caring vet. RID: 33713
Click to report rating    3/10/12   2     4     3     1   Unfortunately this clinic's best vet no longer is employed by them although the vet techs. and reception staff are awesome. I did not mind paying the higher prices since Dr.Soltan was worth it but the others are not. RID: 32795
Click to report rating    2/22/12   4     3     3     1   This used to be a practice that would offer you choices about treatment of your pet. Now there is a lot of pressure for add ons. Routine vaccinations have become a battle of prescription foods, extra vaccines, ear cleaner and pressure to purchase more and more products. A $60-70 vaccination has now become a $250 appointment. Please go back to basics with choices and less pressure sales. RID: 32406
Click to report rating    10/25/11   5     5     5     5   A great experience under difficult circumstance. Wonderful compassionate staff. Professional and caring vets. Highly recommended. RID: 28578
Click to report rating    10/20/11   5     5     1     3   The staff were all very friendly and kind to me and my cat. Waited for 30 minutes before a vet tech came into the treatment room. Dr Butler came in after the vet tech (another 15 minutes to wait). 45 minutes to wait for a vet while I have a very stressed cat is not good. I told the receptionist the day before that my cat has had a very bad experience with a previous vet from a different clinic and we needed help with keeping her comfortable with the whole vet experience. They did give her some phermone to help calm her down, which helped a bit, and they treated her very well with kindness and love. Our cat was still quite stressed and there was also a dog barking in the background which did not help. More expensive than other vets I have been to. So all in all, I liked the people there with their kindness shown towards our cat, but they lacked punctuality. We will try the prescription and hopefully it helps with her ear infection. RID: 28453
Click to report rating    5/8/11   5     5     5     5   I started going to Oakridge when I first got my dog and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. They really make the effort to sit down with you and talk about how your dog is doing (crate training, biting, food, whatever) and they were always upfront about costs. When my puppy was spayed, they provided me with an estimate well before I had to commit to an appointment, but weren't pushy at all. They genuinely care about your pet's health and make the extra effort to make you feel completely comfortable with what they doing. No surprises! RID: 24877
Click to report rating    2/22/11   5     5     5     5   I have been a client for over 6 years at the Oakridge Animal Clinic. Everytime I go into the clinic they know me by name without me having to say anything. The love they have for my dog would be as if it was their own pet. The staff is incredibly friendly and work above and beyond to make sure my dog is looked after. They offer advance medical care and they do what is best for my pet. The doctors are lovely and very down to earth and informative- they use terminology I can understand and are very thorough in explaining their findings. The staff seems like a family and when my pet and I go we feel part of that family. Would HIGHLY recommend this clinic! ALSO- the facilities are wonderful, clinic is always clean and fresh smelling and the decor is beautiful especially their pond and gardens! RID: 23063
Click to report rating    1/3/11   3     5     1     2   I'm the same person that wrote about my dog having seizures. She also had a chronic UTI problem. After requesting an emergency appointment when she was urinating blood they had me drop her off and said they'd get to her when they could. They DID NOT do an exam on her, otherwise they would have felt the three large stones in her bladder. They also had her from about 10 am until 4:30 pm and only let her out to pee twice (once for collection). This was about the third time they treated her for a UTI in 6 months. We switched vets after she was finished her meds and the new vet was astonished that they missed the stones with the size they were. They also tried to pressure us into neutering our show dog. While they have very good facilities we switched because of the difficulty getting emerg appointments, inability to remember that our lemon dog has food allergies and try to put her on a prescription diet that would aggravate them and because they are so expensive. RID: 21751
Click to report rating    6/22/10   5     5     5     5   The doctor are really knowledgeable and caring. The surgery cost was 600 - 700 and i was expecting to pay more than a grand with medication and follow ups. They spayed her, took care of her teeth, fixed her hernia and gave her doses of antibiotics. With all the work they've done with her, they charged me only 600$. If i ever have any concern regarding surgery, I can bring her to the clinic and have her looked at free of charge. In addition, they also included bag of food for her oral hygiene, chipped her nails and cleaned mats off her hair. RID: 18503
Click to report rating    4/30/10   4     5     3     3   Techs and vets are nice but it's hard to get an emergency appointment. My dog had seizures and they wanted me to bring her in 3 hours later for the first available appointment. I have requested that my dogs see the same vet for non emergency visits but I rarely see the same vet each time. In general, good vet, but expensive for what they provide. RID: 17760
Click to report rating    12/6/08   5     5     5     5   Dr. Langley, Dr. Soltan and Dr. Mitchell with all their happy Tech's and employees are one fabulous group of caring people! Pugsley and Bubba are very happy and appreciative clients!! RID: 10815
