I bring my three dogs (Yorkshire terrier, silky terrier and australian terrier) to see Dr. Perkins. Dr. Perkins is an EXCELLENT vet. He is extremely knowledgable and I trust what he says. He has spent a lot of time with me going over concerns that I have had with my dogs. I always request him when I need to make an appointment because I know my dogs will be getting top notch care. The office staff is very nice and helpul. The building is clean. I highly recommend.

I would never bring another pet back here! Our 10 year old beagle mix was brought in for persistent coughing to Dr. Perkins. He assured me that it was just a typical aging issue due to a slight collapse of the trachea but she was fine. He even put her under anesthesia the following week for a dental cleaning! We got a second opinion at Parkside Vet Hospital in Albany two months later and Dr. DeVries said she was in a late stage of congestive heart failure! One long listen to her heart and and X-Ray confirmed it! I later look online at symptoms of congestive heart failure and persistent dry coughing is the #1 symptom! Why Dr. Perkins didn't catch this is beyond me! Plus, Dr. DeVries was shocked that she didn't die on the table during her dental due to her late stage of heart failure! She lived for about 18 more months with tons of daily pills and expensive monitoring, which probably cost us upwards of 8K. Had we found out initially, her prognosis would have been much better.

New Baltimore Animal Hospital is one of the best Veterinarian's that I have been to. Dr. Knee is a wonderful vet, and takes the time to go over everything with you and even will spend 20 minutes on the phone with you. We have Bloodhound and a Jack Russell ( go figure the combination), but when our one dog wasn't eating or drinking anything I called and left a message for him and within 10 minutes he called back and took the time to talk to me about what was going on until I felt comfortable. He is a wonderful vet as well as the other vets in his office. The staff our awesome, everyone is so kind and wants to help you in any way possible. I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else! I recommend them to you!

I can't say enough good things about the vets at New Baltimore Animal Hospital. I've used many vets over the last 30 years and these are by far the best.
