Click to report rating    2/14/13   5     5     5     5   I was very pleased with, and still am, the compassionate care my MinPin, Zeus, has received. Initial diagnostic tests were expensive, yes, but I was given an estimate first, and it was my choice to go forward or not. Follow-up appointments have not been any more expensive than other vets, specialty or not. I have found them to be very reasonable in not recommending tests that are not necessary and in keeping cost to me in mind without sacrificing proper treatment for my dog. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting or needing specialized, excellent, compassionate care for their dog or cat. RID: 40432
Click to report rating    10/28/12   5     5     5     5   Just don't get the negative reviews - doesn't match my experiences at all with this place. I first took one of my pets here about 3 years ago with a chronic stomach problem that had just been treated with antibiotics several times a year. Dr McReynolds did some bloodwork, switched to a different diet, and my dog has been free from tummy problems since. He told me things to look for in the future so that I will know if the problem gets worse. My other dog came down with a sudden fever on Labor Day weekend two years ago. She was feeling very bad. After getting her stabilized at the emergency clinic next door, the SCVIM doctors treated her and she made a remarkable comeback. Her prognosis wasn't great, but they knew what to do to get her back to her sassy self! I would not hesitate to tell anyone that these doctors and staff truly care about their clients and patients, and are excellent doctors. Of course seeing a specialist costs more, but their expertise is totally worth it! RID: 38131
