After spending a disasterous 3 hours at "Powers Pet Emergency Clinic" ten miles away, I left in search of a decent facility to treat my dog's eye infection. I found it here. The staff was superb: courteous, responsive, highly proficient, and caring. The veterinarian, Dr. Kara McArdle, was very knowledgable and capably diagnosed the problem after careful testing and analysis. We were able to identify the issue, agree on a treatment plan and leave after 90 minutes. My dog quickly recovered within the next week. Overall, an outstanding clinic. If, God forbid, my pets are in need of medical care in the future, I won't hesitate to bring them here.

Dr. Heather Becker treated my 16-day old puppy by doing NOTHING. I asked for warmed fluids, Baytril, dextrose, and blood sugar/temp checks every hour. She refused. The puppy had pneumonia and should have received antibiotics immediately. They didn't give them until 2 hours after we arrived. Her blood sugar dropped and her temperature fell. She arrested and died 5.5 hours after I took her there. Becker on the phone stated "I didn't think she was that bad." Well what are you doing being a vet! Stay away from AECC if you value your dog's life.

Don't go here! My pup was hit by a car last night and I took his to AECC. It was $500 up front. A tech gave a somewhat evasive diagnosis of his injuries and what treatment he needed. They needed an aditional $1800 to treat him and possibaly $1000 to $2000 aditional. I had been told initially that he was not in serious danger until I tried to take my pet. I just didn't have that kind of money. Their tune changed to agression and threats. I was told that the dog "would probobaly die over night and I would be charged with crulty to an animal and arrested. It took over an hour for these people to release my pet and I had to pay an additional $492. All They did for my injured pet was x-rays, pain meds and a saline IV. I cleaned and bandaged his wounds myself at home and took him to my regular vet first thing AM for treatment at a small fraction(236)of what I was charged at AECC. My vet said he may have died if they had used anestegia on him. This was a scam. reported them to BBB.

Get ready to be gouged by these people. While they saved my pet's life, they were cagey and evasive about a diagnosis, sucking me into pricey diagnostic proceeedures that padded their coffers. They also suggested THE most expensive options AND actually missed an infection that slowed my pet's recovery. Yes, they are complete, gentle, caring it's all a near-scam: all the waiting and nuggets of info shared by the tech seemed liked a conspiracy to exploit us out of more money. And 10-days later--after being charged over $1200--they send a bill indicating that they forgot to charge for something and I owed ANOTHER $74. I will likely pay, but not without making sure their business practices are known on this site as well as with the BBB! I have advised my regular vet to stop sending people there (he refers to them for afterhours/weekend care).

Waited 3 hours in the waiting room and when taken to exam room we thought we would be treated quickly. We did not leave for another 4 hours and only had an xray, blood work, and subcutaneous fluids. It seems that there is very poor time management or not enough staff to handle the load. For the price (3 times what our vet charges) the service should be better. They do serve Starbucks coffee in the waiting room but that cup of coffee cost $500 and 7 agonizing hours of waiting. I will think twice about going again - which is sad because it only puts our pets at risk.

Kind, considerate, competant. Were quickly on first name basis with myself and relatives who brought my cat in. Spent a lot of time talking to us about care and condition of cat. Facility was very clean and looked new. I was quickly taken back to the ICU when I asked to see my cat. He was in very roomy cage tucked in blankets. Highly recommend Dr. Doust; wish she could be our full time vet. We were welcomed to stay in the waiting room for hours while tests were done. Punctuality is rated medium because we did have to wait a while; however, this was due to emergency cases coming in after my cat was stable. Monetary Value rated medium because I have no other emergency visits to compare it to.
