Rotten service. They are all about up selling you so they can make extra money. Don't be fooled into buying the yearly plan because they will be charging you more. One example is them selling us pain meds that they said our dog must have. It was a large bottle that cost almost $10. When we got home I opened the bottle and it was one pill cut into 4 pieces. I looked up that medication on petmeds and you can get 100 pills for $13. Thats 13 cents each. Banfield is a rip off. They also wanted to pull some of my puppies teeth when she was getting spayed for over $100 dollars each. We took her to a different Vet. and he said her teeth were just fine. It was just another up sell. Glad we said no. That is just one example of many. We still have about 7 months left on our plan but our dog will never walk through those doors again. Beware, you have been warned.

the wait time was very long but we did save money. My dog had a ear infection and they cleaned it out and suggested antibiotics. They where very unuseful and soon we had to take my dog back in. The staff tried their best to be helpful and friendly but the whole operation was obiously un professional.

NEVER GO TO BANFIELD. My regular vet was closed on memorial day and Banfield was the closest vet open so I rushed my unresponsive, 2 month old rescue kitten to their facilities. I called when I was on the way to ensure that a vet would be present and available when I got there because my cat was dying. I was told that when I ran in a vet would be waiting to take care of my cat. However, when I rushed inside and told the receptionist I was the one who had called she informed me that the vet was busy doing a check up and I would need to find care somewhere else. Luckily, there were other customers around who witnessed this animal cruelty and suggested that we try and 24 hour emergency care clinic near by. Luckily, we got there just in time and they were able to save our cat. A word of wisdom for anyone looking for a vet, TAKING YOUR PET TO BANFIELD IS A DEATH SENTENCE!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE WELLBEING OF ANIMALS & SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

Ok just a little comment on everyone elses comment. Banfiels pricing is actually cheaper than any other vet around (atleast the Palm Coast area). They do not lie about what is wrong with your pet, they may have an educated guess that turns out to be wrong, but that happens everywhere, the staff works their butts off to make sure every pet that comes through that door gets the attention they need and any extras(meds, extra nutrients, proper shampoo, ect...) so when your nurse suggests a shampoo or flea/heartworm prevention or anything of that manner, try not to think they are ripping you off just to make money, they do not even get that money, the corporate does, so what would they care, they are suggesting these things for the well being of your pet. And just a little bit of information, the doctor that has been there since the hospital has opened is no longer with that hospital, so if that was the problem with any of you people, maybe you should give it another shot, they were a littl

I took my 31/2 months old puppy, because I was afraid that he had a congenital condition. The vet and the nurses were on top of it, they gave me a coupon for a free 1st visit, and they performed blood and urine tests immediatley after giving me an accurate quote that I approved. The results were negative, and they spent over 2 hours with my dog, to make sure that everything was OK. They have a wellness plan that requires a membership that seems to be a good saving plan. I will research the benefits of the plan before I decide to become a memeber, bt the 1st impression was definitely an excellent one!

Enrolled in the wellness plan for all 3 of my dogs because they all needed their teeth cleaned which is included in the annual cost for about the same price as just a cleaning itself. They were insistent on giving my 7 year old dog a vaccination shot despite my voicing strong concerns over whether she actually needed this particular one. She had an allergic reaction and when I brought her back they charged me for an emergency visit plus $65 for a shot of benedryl, then suggested I leave her there for several hours at an additional cost to "monitor" her. This is only one of several disturbing situations I have experienced at Banfield. You may think you are initially saving money by enrolling in the wellness plan, but their vets' incompetance, misdiagnoses and meds which are three times more expensive there than anywhere else quickly eat up any initial savings.

Took my cat in when she was having trouble urinating and had stopped eating. After blood test, doctor decided she had a disease only found in dogs. Referred me to animal hospital (more $$$) who said she was fine. Took to different Banfield. Staff diagnosed bladder stones. Said she needed emergency surgery (even though it is nearly always males who need emergency surgery). When I told them I would pick her up after work, the doctor told me they could do nothing more for her and I needed to pick her up immediately, no questions asked. Took to third vet (who the Banfield doctor talked down about) who assured this was no emergency case. He removed the stones and all was well, for about half what Banfield had already charged. Not touching any Banfield centers again.

AVOID BEWARE UNSKILLED DOCTOR. Pressured 3x to sign up for Wellness plan. Had to wait 1 hr for 1 shot. Blond Nurse and black guy at desk were very friendly and helpful. Doctor, the foreign guy, bent the needle in my puppy's shoulder. Overall, aweful experiance. I will go to the feedstore for my puppy's last parvo shot. The feedstore, Dotys in Winter Haven, Polk County is a long drive from Tampa but they are much more competent.

My experience was positive and I understood how the wellness plan works. Not insurance, just discounted service.

Never enroll your pets in Banfields wellness plans, even if your pet is deceased they will not cancel the contract, it may cover doctor visits and a percentage of the treatments but the recommendations are always more expensive than is necessary, the location we used kept your animals for the entire day with no food or water to give just routine annual shots and usually wasn't ready upon the pick up time so you were usually the one who had to calm the dog while the shots were administered at pick up time. When one of our dogs became ill we took him there and rather than do routine x-rays to rule out minor problems he was referred to a more expensive hospital and that was there treatment but it could have been treated with routine drugs that they could have administered with just x-rays.

Awful. Lied about what was wrong with my puppy, and made me get Xrays that were unnecessary and very expensive. I would NEVER take my pet back there.
