Over the years I have had all 4 of my pets under the care of Dr. Burientos. My pets all lived to exceptional old age and I would certainly attribute it in large part to the excellent care they received with Dr. Burientos, and his staff. The honesty, kindness and empathy that all of our pets have received in Dr. B's care, even extended to my mother, husband and I, as we have only ever received much understanding and respect - and we have been clients of this clinic for well over a decade. I would unconditionally recommend Dr. Berientos as a well informed and exceptional vet.

Great experience. Our dog had to have an eye removed and the care she/we received at dundas/Euclid exceeded our expectations. Very knowledgeable staff and I appreciated that they kept me very well informed through the whole process.

I had a great experience at Dundas Euclid with all the staff. They are professional and kind. Dr Vlad and Co did a very tricky operation on our dog and it was a total success. The after care was great as well. I highly recommend this clinic.

I have been with this clinic for a few years, and have seen some new vets come and go. Dr. B has always been great and the new vet was also great with my cat. They are a bit more pricey, but you get what you pay for I think.

I switched to this clinic about 2 months ago when I wanted a second opinion. My previous vet did some bloodwork on my puppy before her spay and told me she was dying of liver failure and put her on some drops. I saw Dr. Stefanesco and he took the time to explain the bloodwork and repeated some tests. He put my dog on the right medication and the liver values went back to normal after 1 month!!! This clinic knows what they are doing and I will recommend them to all my friends.

I am not coming back; they are condescending and incompetent. I came in for a heartworm test, and the assistant said I needed a "wellness test." That is to say, blood tests. He said it is required every six months. I then met the vet who said it was optional but recommended. It would have been nice if they made up their mind. The vet then gave me an explanation why that I did not understand - in medical jargon seemingly designed to mystify the layperson in parting with his money. The vet gave the dog a heatworm test after I told the assistant gave the test last year. After the test, the secretary said it was only needed every two years. The vet then said it was optional. It would have been nice if she had said that before the test. I received heartworm medication at about a 300% markup. All the while, they treated me like an idiot. They insisted muzzling my dog after I told them she did not bite. They said, "You may be surprised." I was only surprised at the bill.

This place is in the business of exploiting pets for money. They've "given" my pets or charged me for medication they claimed my pets needed. I used to pay an arm and a leg for things I couldn't understand because it was never explained to me. My cat also ended up dying because of this place, they never mentioned any abnormalities when they drew his blood years ago and now he's gone.

These vets are rip offs they don't care about your animal they want your money. They told me that they needed to take blood from my cat and when they brought her back from taking blood i didn't see any indication that they took blood from her. Normally it is either on the neck or on the inside of the leg and they usually wipe it with alcohol so it either smells of it or the fur is pasty but there was nothing on my cat to show that they took it. Also one of the vets tried to dupe my elderly mother with her cat. They were selling medication to my mom to give to her cat and they told her that they also want to give an injection for the same problem to her cat. That is just sensless spending money. Don't trust these vets they just want your money.

Before, I went to Dundas West Hospital, they are caring and email and call for follow-up many times, but here, the vet almost killed my poor sick cat.. My cat got bloody diarrhea and was bleeding his guts out, and that's why I took him there, and the vet started going on about fleas and stuff like that, and after making us pay an extremely high amount, started taking care of fleas. Then, leaving the diarrhea issue unaddressed (besides the fact that I myself took a stool sample for test), he decided to give him two of his shots... so we left the hospital with my cat still being sick..BUT..it wasn't only that. A few days after receiving the shots, my cat went into a horrible state, refused to eat, had watery stool, and had trouble breathing. He looked like he was in his death bed. I took him back today and had to pay $170 again for the medication, to make up what that "Doctor" ****ed up with his lack of knowledge about you don't double-weaken an already weak little kitten. He'll be sued.

My experience at Dundas Euclid has been amazing every time. I have a cat and 2 dogs, one large breed with fear aggression issues, and all of the vets know how to approach him and make his experience positive. I have found them to be fair in terms of price, suggesting that we take things incrementally to minimize unnecessary costs and being realistic about outcomes. They are sensitive yet honest and treat us like we are smart enought to hear the technical stuff while keeping it simple enough to grasp. They are also not afraid to admit the limits of heir expertise and provide a referral if necessary. I finally have a vet I trust. Keep up the good work!

Contrary to what I've read here, I find his reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I have found the technicians and Dr. Barrientos to be helpful, friendly and good with my pets, but I can't get over the reception staff enough to actually enjoy my interactions with this clinic.

I have nothing poor to say of these doctors competency, their great, gentle and knowledgeable and are thorough with examinations. The only place I can really deduct marks from are their price points. I find their physical examinations fees unreasonably high, you're in there less than 10 min for vaccines and a check up and there go $100+. Not fair at all. You look through your receipt and the vaccines average %10-$15 and then an exorbitant for the physical.

I took my cat here for a check-up. It cost me a whopping $400 and they didn't even weigh him! The vet suggested that my cat get his one canine tooth extracted. The price quoted was extremely high ($630!) and there is even a chance it will cost more due to additional meds. At no point during the visit did I feel like the vet cared about my cat, just about the money. Will definitely take my cat and money elsewhere.

Clean and punctual, but they do try to upsell at every opportunity. For example, requiring 1-2 nights ($$$) for dog spaying, when it is a day-surgery at spay-neuter clinics. Also, trying to sell teeth cleaning under anaesthetic ($$$) when dental bones cleaned my dog's teeth just fine after cutting out wet food.

Unbelievable. The receptionist is lovely, but the vet is very old school and when I changed my little pup off Science Diet (once I learned what garbage it was) he made me feel stupid for my choice. He is condescending, and had called me with wrong information. I'm finding a new vet.

I have been very satisfied with Dr.Barientos and his staff. Through the years whenever there was a problem with Dolly Dorry Mr Maggoo Looney and Kitty, everything would be better soon after. The place is clean, the doctors explain everything out to you so you understand, and they try to keep the price down.

I have been going to this clinic for a while now and never once have I been disappointed. The staff really opens your eyes to new information and help you understand whats going on with your pet. Compared to other vets this one actually charges the best. The prices are pretty reasonable. I would recommend this vet to any one of my friends in deed

Dr Barrientos (840 Dundas Street West
Toronto, ON M6J 1V5)
overcharged me without blinking an eye. I changed vets this week and found out he charged me almost 4x more for the regular deworming tablet. The clinic is mostly interested in making money.

My cats have been clients of Dr Barrientos since the clinic first opened 9 years ago. Polite, helpful staff are always available to answer any questions that I might have. The clinic is a good size, not too big or small and definitely has a great neighbourhood vibe.

Although I've rated this hospital high in both cleanliness and punctuality I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. On all three seperate visits, I was met with arrogance from the doctor, upselling services I didn't feel may be necessary making me feel as though I don't know what's best for my pet. On two individual visits I was pressured during the entire visit as the doctor was checking my pet, that it is necessary for a rabies vaccination even though my cat is 100% indoors and live on the 7th floor of a Condo with no balcony. On another visit, when I brought her in just for grooming, my cat was given a rabies shot without my consent. I was not told they would be doing this. When I picked up my pet, it was listed on the bill. Does this sound like a vet you want to bring your pet to? Don't let the pretty interior fool you.

I felt pressured by some of the staff to get treatments for my dog that I don't believe are neccessary. I also feed my dog raw and prefer a holistic view on his health and I did not feel I would get any support for those choices here. Generally I was made to feel like I didn't know much and I better trust the experts.
