I have been going to Madison Animal Hospital for over 20 years. I have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Dr. Saunders is a very special person and doctor who loves animals and always treats my cats with the utmost care. I trust her advice and she always explains every procedure to me. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Got my first dog this summer and didn't know what to expect. I went maybe 5 times and paid on average $250 each visit. Ouch!, but I stopped going there when they clipped my dog's nails without permission or knowledge and my dog developed a complex about having his feet touched. When I called them about it, they denied they did it because they only cut nails with the owner's permission. I told them they DID because my frightened puppy climbed over my shoulder and had scratched up my back trying to get as far away as possible. The nurse at the time offered to have his nails clipped and then found out it had ALREADY been done. When I told the receptionist this, she was silent and then offered to put a note in my file for future visits. She had such an attitude that I decided not to go there again. Then I found out what a rip off this place was. The vet was OK, but not worth the grief.

So so staff because of waiting room, they take forever and really overpriced! Every year my cat cost me around 500 bucks just for a check up. I am looking for another place.

READ ALL:This is a good corporately run machine. The vets are top notch, & seem to be limited only by the company's control. Owners, who are not doctors but penny pinchers, people outside the medical establishment with no knowledge in the field. Still, the vets & staff do all they can, and while they were better as a private business-it's all politics-and the staff seems not to be lost in a sea of Wal-Mart brand hospitals, but to really care for the animals they treat. GOOD SCORED OVERALL!
