Distrustful/unskilled Dr. Ron Earp. 3 months before my dog's death, I began telling Dr. Ron Earp of gastrointestinal symptoms (straining to defecate, increased thirst, etc). He left me voicemail replies, with vague statements of "I'm not too concerned." Over and over, as the weeks went by. I later found that "essentially all other DVM's" given the nature of the symptoms, would have Immediately (1) asked for an in-office exam, (2) done a rectal exam, (3) ordered a simple abdominal xray, etc. Dr. Earp did None. Then, Dr. Earp, in the month before my dog's death, began to prescribe medicines by phone, still with no in-office exam. Medicines were ineffective. Then, 1 week before death, Dr. Earp finally did a rectal exam, and turned us away saying "everything is fine". I then demanded other DVM's to intervene. Each immediately did rectal exams and easily found the tumor, eg, Dr. Amelia Simpson. It was too late by then. We gave Dr. Earp months to save our dog. He deceived us, wa

This is a new clinic with experienced vets who broke away from another clinic. I think Dr Erdman has great instincts and compassion both the pets and the owners. Twice she has been able to work through the mysteries of my neurotic dog to figure out what was wrong. The first time, his lab tests were all fine, yet he was starving himself to death. She hit on the possiblity of IBD, started treating him for it and he quickly turned around. She called to check on him daily until he resumed eating. The second time, he got sick on a Sunday, when their office is closed. I took him to another clinic. $300 of tests later, all they knew was that his WBC was very high. On Monday, I took him back to Dr Erdman. She quickly decided to x-ray him and found the problem -- pneumonia. She isn't the least expensive vet and sometimes I have to wait a while to see her, but it's worth the price and the wait.
