After his first and only (Stage 1) dental cleaning at this clinic, our 8 yr old healthy and active cat started showing signs of an acute severe kidney failure. We put him to sleep (6 weeks after the dental treatment) after every medical attempt failed to get him better. We remember he was very stressed out in his recovery cage with the clinic cat taunting him from outside as he roamed freely and a few dogs barking in front of him. We later founded out our kitty absorbed all the pre-medications and still awake prior to the dental treatment. Had we been told at this point, we would not have proceeded with the treatment. However, the procedure continued using the anesthetic chamber. No one really knew what happened. Only that, most likely, something during the dental treatment caused his kidneys to shut down.
