When I saw the doctor, she told me they were doing an X-ray and bloodwork and I told her that was fine. Two hours later, the tech told me the results of the X-ray and asked if they could do bloodwork. I told her they were supposed to do that two hours ago and now I'd have to wait yet another hour or so to get these results. When I asked why it was taking so long, I was told me that the doctor was on the phone most of the time... RID: 60514

10/26/11   1     2     1     1   Beware of the Neurology Dept here. Our dog was transferred from the ER to the Neurologist. He called us at 7:30am to say our dog was doing fine..eating and drinking. When we went to visit her that evening she was on a gurney and could not lift her head. We were told at that time she had a fever, however, the neurologist discontinued her iv hydration when she went to his service. He had done nothing to find the source of her fever nor did his vet techs. In reviewing her record we learned NO ONE had paid any attention to her the entire day. We demanded she be transferred back to the ER Dept, be given fluids, antibiotics, and tests to isolate the cause of her fever. At 4:30a.m. we got a call that she died. She had sepsis and there was not ONE note that anything was done for her by the neurologist or his techs. His excuse..he was operating all day and seeing patients. BEWARE of this specialty vet who practiced 3 months with an expired license. He got a slap on the hand by STATE. RID: 28619

Click to report rating    3/31/11   2     4     2     1   These people are unethical! The are very cold haearted in the way they dealt with our pet. We saw the Dr for aprox 5 minutes and were charged $100 then we left the cat there for a procedure. That was another $1300. The vet left us a message of the prognosis on an answering machine. Our children could have come home and recieved this detailed and unpleasant diagnosis. I called to talk to the vet that left the message and she wouldn't return my call. Found out that she was leaving for vacation. Went to the head of the practice. He justified everything that was done acoodring to the chart of our pet and therefore no refund, no apology nothing. It's all about money withthese people.... they have a facebook page however you can't post anything on there unless it is submitted to them first for approval and then they will allow the posting. Don't be blinded by the glitz of the facility RID: 24013
Click to report rating    1/27/11   1     1     1     1   I hope you like latte, because you are paying for that machine in the lobby. This is the most unethical and greedy practice I have ever encountered. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY OPTION. Sedated my dogs, who did not need it, WITHOUT CONSENT. One is a breed that frequently has a drug reaction to the agent they used that can KILL them, but they didn't know this. Charged $1100 for staples and drains on simple fresh lacerations; tried to charge me $1700. Implied they would report me for cruelty if I declined treatment. Kept me waiting ALL NIGHT -- another hour and my vet would have been open. Tried to charge $100 for cephalexin that is free at Giant Eagle, under $10 anywhere else. The sutures were incompetent and the dogs have permanent scars. I've since stapled similar injuries at home and had 2X faster healing and zero scarring. BTW, the facility is gorgeous, but "bad" because that's what jacks up the price tag -- YOU pay for all that polished marble. RID: 22409
Click to report rating    1/4/11   1     1     3     1   I had the most awful experience. Me and my friends were just left in the waiting , public area while they whisked my dog off for evaluation. NEVER did I ever get to be put in a private room. Immediately they said my dog needed an expensive $3,500 procedure, but were very vague with the possible outcome. She needed Emergency surgery. They quickly took our credit card and every few minutes wanted to add on another Costly item, like blood pressure readings, transfusions, and even asked if we would pay for resucitation. Looking back this was just a money grab to see how far we would go. Well my dog died and there WAS no hope. My referring vet said that these procedures were wasteful on a dying dog and an X ray could have reavealed the problem. We were billed $3,000...We were raped. My dog had no hope to begin with. They coached us to perform needless procedures to pad their billing. BEWARE, question everything they do....Word of mouth gets around..Get a 2nd opinion, even during an emerg. RID: 21782
Click to report rating    1/11/09   1     5     1     1   New facility, the staff did not listen to my explanation of my pets problems which involved the liver. The staff took him back and performed tasks which I did not ask for, I already knew my dogs issues. The trauma my older pet was put through was too much for him, he passed away in 5 days. My regular vet agreed that my dog was unable to handle all of the testing and medication. I feel so guilty in taking my pet to this facility. Please be careful taking an older pet to this hospital!
