We have been seeing Dr. Apker for 20 years, but had to stop once she opened the new clinic; because the cost of services had sky rocketed. She is an excellent vet but now you can't even get an appointment with her. It is so sad that money seems to be the driving force at this new clinic. Her front desk staff is short and not very personal and the techs seem to be driven to drive up the cost of the visit. I recently was quoted $240.00 for two dogs’ checkup/shots.I ended up having vet come to my house and was charged $60 for everything including a nail trim and ear cleaning.I wish she would have stayed at the small clinic and kept her unbelievable passion for animals and the people that live with them.

I have been bringing my dog to animal wellness center for almost 10 yrs.,and I recently had a out of town emergency with my pet, and called the clinic and was treated extremely rude by the receptionist,who refused to relay any message to my pets health care doctor.And never did. I then a month later made a appt. for a nail trim,and again was treated extremely rude by the same receptionist,telling me she fit me in,when I pre scheduled the appt. I asked if It was possible to have a tech. give him his distemper,she became extremely rude to me, and refused. I told her I was very unhappy with her attitude and I was calling her manager.I then recieived a letter the next day in the mail telling me to find another clinic because She lied to her manager and said I swore at her. Totally false, she oviously got to the manager before I did to cover her actions, the manager did not even call me ever, this is the most unprofessional pet care I have ever had. My pets health is not even a concern.

I have been going to Animal Wellness Center for four years, in fact, I got my baby kitten there. Before the new clinic I would have said that the clinic was wonderful, but now with the new clinic I hate it. The only reason I am still there is for Dr. Nation. Whenever I am there, I am treated coldly by the receptionists, who need better computer skills, and the other staff. Some of the technicians are very nice, but it seems as though they are stressed out and constantly busy while the receptionists are barely doing anything! I also must comment about the heating. The last time I was there, I wish I had grabbed a blanket! I cuddled with my baby, and I could tell she was not happy. All in all, I really must stress not to go there anymore, unless you have Dr. Nation, she just brightens up the room. SHe is so loyal and kind, I really wish she would open up her own clinic though, I really dislike Animal Wellness Center now.
