Vet misdiagnosed my dog's issue resulting in hundreds of dollars wasted. Expensive medication down the drain while my pet's condition worsened. "checkup" resulted in missed issues. Went to another vet and had proper diagnosis immediately and treatment begun. Will never return here and if you choose to, do so at your own peril.

Super rude staff!...Won't admit to mistake, "doesn't care"...We would have been very good new customers, but not now, not ever!...Or own vet from Surrey could not believe the rude treatment....Don't go there!

Dr. Ross cares a lot about her patients and her clients. When it comes to vets, you get what you pay for. They wont ever rush you out, and they will ensure you have your questions answered. They always go above and beyond. The staff know treat me like a friend and my pets like family. Hearing them speak about other cases they have shown a lot of empathy... they don't treat animals like numbers. I have gone to other clinics while I lived away from Chilliwack and have always been grateful to come back here.

I highly recommend Dr. Ross. In my lifetime in the pet industry, I have seen the work of at least a dozen vets. Rabbits are difficult patients, as they are fragile, timid, and need different medications than cats and dogs. Dr. Ross immediately offered to sit on the floor with my anxious rescue bunny, which most vets do not. She gives him time to relax before handling him. She did not rush into a surgical solution, as many would do with a growth. She used THREE numbing strategies for the biopsy needle: spray, cream and injection. Bunnies can die of fear or pain, and with Dr. Ross' approach, my bunny didn't even flinch. With an ear infection, she first prescribed a med that is both antibiotic and antifungal. Some vets prescribe just antibiotics, then require a second (paid) exam, then an antifungal. Dr. Ross could have made 3X the money on my visits. Some comments on here about the clinic are ludicrous. A vet clinic is not Walmart, and a professional does not prescribe without an exam.

We used this clinic over a 12-year period with our Welsh Corgi, and found their care & professionalism to be exemplary. In more than one instance, we felt that we would have lost our beloved Andy if not for the expertise of Vedder Mountain Veterinary Clinic Without hesitation, we brought our next dog in to receive the same help from this excellent clinic, & we recommend this facility to anyone searching for wonderful pet care! Dr. Leslie Ross and staff always made us feel welcome, and went out of their way to treat our pet with the best medical care available.

Dr Ross and staff have provided absolutely wonderful care the past five years for my dear little dog who is unfortunately plagued with allergies. Dr Ross and staff go above and beyond, and we are truly blessed to have such a caring and competent team here in Sardis. I'm so grateful for all they do for us, and I highly recommend this clinic.

I can't express in words my appreciation for Dr Ross and her staff. I have taken all of my pets to her the past 8 years, there have been happy and sad times (pets health) and throughout Dr Ross and her staff have been patient, kind and caring.

Dr. Ross is great, but I was shocked that they would hire a receptionist with no people skills, extremely unfriendly, no eye contact. Its very unfortunate for this because the vet is great but its a huge turn off to have a staff member that is so cold.

I realize that for the most part people write negative reviews much quicker than positive ones but unfortunately I don't have many positive comments. The new receptionist has no social etiquette and does not even greet me when I bring my dog in. She is so rude that it is almost comical. I wouldn't mind as much if she was friendly towards my dog but she fails there too. I came in once and she just put her head in her hands and said oh no it's you. I was mortified I thought something had happened to my dog! Turns out she was mad I had come on time because she was running late. As for the Dr she is very friendly but you cannot just come in for flea or worming meds etc. you have to get a physical. No visit has been under $300 and there always seems to be some sort of extra every time we go. Despite always being on time and the place being empty, appointments always run 20 mins late. Needless to say we are looking for a new vet.

I saw Dr. Ross with my bunny and found her to be knowledgeable and thorough. Her staff were reserved but pleasant. Her fees were very reasonable and she gave me a prescription to fill at the pharmacy which will cut down on costs. I think there may have been additional costs for xrays that i could have incurred that may not have been fully necessary at this point but I don't see this as a huge problem as Dr. Ross was pleasant when I asked to wait a day for progress before proceeding. From my perspective it's good to know there is someone in my area that can care for my rabbits as few vets continue to treat this wonderful animal.

I needed a second dose of dewormer for the dog, and I was on my way home from school with the kids and had the dog in the car, I had already gone past my regular vet so I tried stopping in at this other vet clinic near my house, first off there was a cold pool of dog urine on the floor they hadnt cleaned up, then they tried to make me bring the dog in for all these tests and things completely unrelated to dewormer, and started quoting me costs for things I didnt want, the vet actually came out and looked at the dog and said she has a skin condition and they can help me with it (she does not!) then I finally demanded they just give me dewormer and they tried to charge me $30 for ONE dose of dewormer and a $10 dispensing fee!! one dose of the same brand of dewormer at my vet costs about $15 and there is no dispensing fee! I left angry.. after going through all this for 25 minutes while the kids waiting in the car.

prices are always higher than quoted...dr. Ross likes to take all your money for simple things like blood tests and xrays and ultrasounds but when you need her for serious stuff she jams out and always refers you to Vancouver vets....I think she does not know how to do anything but take money for simple things...hopeless ...never rely on her for anything serious....she will not be there for you and your pet...

Over the past two or so years, I have had several experiences with the Vedder Mountain Clinic and Dr Ross. During both routine appointments and emergencies, Dr Ross and her staff have been extremely patient, quick to respond and have been very thourough; explaining things every step of the way- up to and including, follow-up phone calls to ensure recovery was going well. But, most importantly, everyone there has been fantastic with the dogs and cats. It is obvious how much everyone there cares and, most importantly, the animals like them in return. Although my experiences with the Vedder Mountain clinic have been limited to experiences with my boyfriend's animals (when he is out of town), I can see why he trusts Dr Ross and refers others to this clinic. In the future, when I am able to get a dog once more, I won't hesitate to take my animal here.

I moved to Chilliwack 5 1/2 years ago with my 2 dogs and 2 cats. A co-worker recommended Dr. Ross. I lived in 3 different towns in BC with my animals before that and I have to say that my babies haven't been in better hands since. Unfortunately, my 2 cats passed away and Dr. Ross and Staff were so considerate and sensitive. Dr. Ross did everything she could to help them but knew how to tell me when she couldn't do anymore for them. I got 2 more cats and rescued another dog. Almost 6 months ago now, I had to say goodbye to one of my dogs. Dr. Ross did everything she could to help my boy and recommended that I get another opinion from Canada West Vet. Specialists (another great place). Unfortunately, lymphoma got the best of him. Dr. Ross helped him go to a better world with his dignity. I've never had a Vet that cared as much as Dr. Ross does for my animals. She also seems to havea gift at finding the right Staff that shows her philosophy and compassion. Thanks Dr. Ross & Staff!

Was not impressed at all. My one cat got upset which he always does at the vet & they bring in some assistant who starts practically choking him which makes him more aggressive & upset. I've never seen him this angry at an appointment before. They won't let me hold him for the vaccination & then suggest putting a muzzle on him. That's when I say no way & hold him to calm him down. Then she gives the vaccination while he's still moving! I ask about a little dryness on his nipple & she suggests the same thing a previous vet suggested, but then goes back on her suggestion saying it should be surgically removed & biopsy performed. Then she says she'll record that my cat trusts me & i should hold him for vaccinations...of course he'a going to trust me over your choke-happy assistant, I'm his momma. Sounds like they're just in the business to make money & over-suggest unnecessary surgery. Will never return there.

Dr. Ross is amazing. Our little Conure Parrot had flown into a window and knocked himself out. No car at home, so Dr. Ross was ready to drive to Agassiz to come help. Another time on Canada day the same little bugger decided to take on the African Grey. Dr. Ross was great meeting us to attend to his injuries, even thought it was a holiday. She is the only local vet I would trust with our Parrots. She is very thoughrough and knowledgable. Her staff is fabulous. They are very helpful, kind, friendly and accomodating.

Over the past 16 years our family has entrusted Dr. Leslie Ross with the total veterinary care of our 4-legged family members. The care that Dr. Ross and her staff provide to our family is never less than exemplary. During these 16 years, our family, both furry and non, have built a great relationship with VMVC. We have had 2 of our pets pass away from old age, and our latest beloved Buddy from nasal cancer. These events were such a difficult time for our family and Dr. Ross and her staff were there for us every time we needed them. We now have 2 new furry family members and would never consider taking them anywhere else. With Dr. Ross the prices reflect the quality of care provided, and when compared with comparable services, they are very competitive. You definitely get what you pay for with Dr. Ross and that's EXCELLENCE!

Personally I was not happy at all with my experience here. Dr.Ross's people skills have something to be desired. Her prices were ridiculously high and she wanted to sedate my dog so she could get X-rays of his leg, where as at the next vet I took him to they did X-rays that appointment and it only took 15 minutes.

I took my bunny here to have his neuter stitches removed, and the vet was very good with him, they knew how to handle him to keep him calm and she was VERY careful and concentrated while removing his tiny stitches. She seemed to have good animal skills, maybe not as much a people-person but definitely good with the pets, so thats all that matters.
