Click to report rating    6/16/24   1     2     2     1   This clinic's hours have been inconsistent and leaves clients with no choice but to rush to Winnipeg should their pets need medical attention. Their staff and services have totally deteriorated since becoming part of a large corporation. Best to go to another clinic where they really care for your precious pet - and YOU! RID: 71085
Click to report rating    5/7/24   1     2     3     4   This clinic has repeatedly let down their area clients by closing their clinic during noon hours for "training purposes" and closing down the entire Easter weekend. I guess they think that pets don't need care during holidays and over noon hours. It was bad enough when they closed down EVERY weekend last August, but nothing has changed there. They care only about getting the highest dollar AND getting all their friends to give them good google reviews to suck more people into going to their clinic. Give your pets real care and go somewhere else!! RID: 71062
Click to report rating    1/7/19   4     4     4     2   Dr. Moir is a compassionate hard working vet. She's gentle with her animal patients and takes time to explain procedures and tests with the pet owners. Unlike Dr. Fleming - who seems to dispense expensive ineffective medication much too frequently, Dr. Moir will take time to do extra research and is willing to work with the pet owners to be sure their pet is getting the very best care. RID: 67196
Click to report rating    7/25/17   3     4     4     3   How do you trust a vet clinic that recommends food that is toxic to the animals that they are supposed to be helping! They recommend you give your cat 1 rice, corn, wheat, and soy these are the first ingredients These will cause diabetes, obesity, thyroid dysfunction.People shpuld not eat these either Please read the labels and do your research They are trying to keep your pet sick so you become a customer for life! RID: 64267
Click to report rating    1/5/17   5     5     5     4   I have been a client since 1986. If you are honest with them in respect to finances, then they are more than willing to work with you. Can not say enough about Dr. Charnock. When I need to put an animal down, he, is, definitely my first choice. This is because when my rabbit was ill, most times he took the time to save her. The last time, when I knew there as no chance at least he tried. My bill was no more than euthanasia. Good on him. RID: 62305
Click to report rating    2/6/16   5     5     5     5   Wonderful clinic and vets! Dr. Moir has taken care of my two cats and dog for over nine years, and has been the primary Doctor that my family has been to! She is informative and compassionate and we are thankful that she is so thorough in her examinations. :) lovely facility and front of house! Very clean new clinic and kind staff! RID: 59707
Click to report rating    10/20/15   5     5     5     5   With the passing of my cat, i relied on dr fleming's knowledge on what was best...she told me it was time and afterwards was found he was full of cancer, we had consulted with 4 specialists and 4 other vets..some during and some afterwards....but as hard as it is, i have a bit of piece of mind knowing that she did all she could and no one else could of done anything either RID: 58738
8/13/15   2     1     1     1   Dr Moir killed my dog. My dog got bloat one morning after I let him out for just a few minutes feeling just fine. He came in after running about making a ruckus to make sure the dogs in the kennels knew he was there. Full of beans! He drank some water and proceeded to settle on the couch. A few minutes later he was spinning and trying to get my attention. Put him back out, just in case he needed to complete the task. No, back at door. A but an hour later he was frothing. Took him to vets right away. She agreed it was bloat. She put a needle in his belly to relieve gas, left him for hours. Came to waitng room to make me prepay for operation and send me home.Informed me her partner was at home having his day off lunch. He did not arrive for another 4 to 5 hrs. Got the phone call they found part of his stomach was without blood supply now and they were putting him down. Kept him for 8 hours before they operated Crooked killers should have sent us to another vet for em surgery Evil Vet. RID: 58033
Click to report rating    12/20/13   1     5     5     1   5 days before Christmas took my cat in for pink urine? Vet palpated abdomen and told me there was a mass and given an $880.00 estimate for care. Informed vet I could not afford that and inquired about euthanasia because did not want cat to suffer. Euthanasia cost was 200.00 plus 63.00 initial assessment fee. Husband notified and he quickly contacted another clinic where euthanasia quoted at 55.00. Told Oakbank vet this information and was then offered this price as well but I had to relenquish ownership and instead of euthanizing him they would treat him and put him up for adoption. I paid 120.00 something and sadly left cat there. Later that day I learned that he only had crystals in his urine, no mass, no 880.00 bill. Significantly less in fact. My husband offered to pay this small charge to get our cat back and they refused to give him back even if we paid to bill. Definately feel tricked. Very sad daughter and family this Christmas. Will never go back to them. RID: 48868
Click to report rating    11/8/13   5     5     5     5   Dr. Fleming is very compassionate and saved the life of my cat for much less than Winnipeg vets could offer. For both these reasons I took my dog to her . She performed an x-ray and assessed him, and unlike the minimal care and insight of Winnipeg vets, she was able to accurately diagnose my dog's condition and provide proper medication, unlike the care we received for years at Wpg vets. She truly does care about animals and is worth the 40 minute car ride! I recommend this office to everyone I encounter with pets :) RID: 48134
10/24/13   5     5     5     5   Dr Vonderbank is wonderful with animals who are afraid to go to the vet. I hope she is at this clinic for a very long time! RID: 47841
Click to report rating    4/29/13   5     5     4     4   I have been a client since Dr.'s Charnock and Moir took over in Oakbank. Service has been excellent, and it's always nice to hear Nancy on the phone -absolutely no complaints! RID: 42163
Click to report rating    1/30/13   5     5     5     5   We've been clients for nearly 10 years now and could not be happier with the service received! Every test, medication and treatment was thoroughly explained to us during both our cat's fight with FIP and our puppy's fight with Parvo. The vets and staff have always put the well-being of our pets first - above and beyond the size of their wallets. RID: 40021
Click to report rating    9/4/12   5     5     5     5   Dr Charnock was amazing with our sick dog and very patient explaining different tests, following up on phone calls to see how our dog was doing, taking the time to really answer our questions. He came after hours to give us medication and was flexible in appointment times etc. In the end we couldnt find answers and ended up putting our dog down and they were very accommodating and comforting in an extremely hard situation for us. It will be a while before we are ready for another dog, but when we are, Oakbank Animal Hospital will be the only place we will take it. RID: 37009
Click to report rating    5/3/12   5     5     5     5   I will never take my animals anywhere else and I don't have to because they are available 24 hours a day for no extra cost! All staff have been excellent and Dr. Fleming has gone above and beyond, she has been amazing to my dog who has had numerous joint problems. I have never met such empathetic doctors, they truly care about the animals and their owners best interest over anything else. RID: 33975
Click to report rating    4/14/12   4     5     5     5   Have been taking my dog here for past 3 years. Vets are incredibly knowledgeable and bills have been reasonable and far less than I would pay in the big city. The do have an on-call vet 24 hrs a day which i was amazed at when my dog had his first siezure at 7:00 in the evening 2 years ago!!! RID: 33525
Click to report rating    2/8/12   5     5     5     5   Dr Fleming and all the staff have be incredible to our now passed dog and our family. They have met us at the clinic after hours even in the middle of the night to treat our sick dog and were unbelievable compassionate at the end of her life. There is no where else I would go or trust to care for our family members! RID: 32074
11/14/11   2     2     2     2   Called with a sick Cat on the rememberance day weekend. They wouldn't see him because he wasn't registered there. A VERY UNCARING POLICY if you ask me. My pet is sick, but because I just moved and didn't have time to go there, they're attitude says "Too bad for your cat / pet". the "I'm very sorry and I care about animals" reply STILL is uncaring and unacceptable in my books. I had to go to Beausejour instead. I can't say if they're treatment is any good, but if their reply to me over all this is any indicator, I wouldn't be surprised if Money and lousy service is all they would care about. Either way, I rate them a "2", JUST BECAUSE. Take your chances with them, don't say you haven't been warned. RID: 29104
Click to report rating    9/5/11   5     5     5     5   This clinic offers a great service to pet owners. I have been taking my dog there for several years, and am grateful for the staff's professionalism and caring. Dr. Vonderbank is awesome! RID: 27384
Click to report rating    3/3/11   5     5     5     5   I have been bringing my animals to Dr. Fleming for over 7 years. She is always very caring and always answers my concerns. The staff are courteous and friendly. I have had to call her after hours and she had called me back in 1 minute. When I call the office, she always returns my calls. I have referred her to my family and friends. This is the only vet that I would bring my animals to. RID: 23296
Click to report rating    1/19/11   5     5     5     5   I've been using this clinic for a number of years for my dogs, cats and horses. All the vets are excellent and the other staff as well. When your dog is happy to go there, tail awagging, that's a good thing! They have always been thorough, kind and understanding, with excellent 'bedside' manners with all my pets. I can't say anything about them other than they are great! RID: 22205
Click to report rating    1/14/09   5     5     3     4   The staff is great and Dr. Charnock always takes the time to cover all of my concerns. I would recommend this vet to anyone. RID: 11231
