It really depends on which vet you get. I hate to say it that the criticism of Dr. Liz is on the money even though she is very knowledgeable this doesn't translate to taking an accurate history, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment. She rushes everything and that comes to thruway diagnoses, she told me maybe my cat's kidneys were maybe functioning normally again even though for the past three weeks she's been barely peeing. There's a reason why my cat can't stand her. Dr. Karen however is a treat. She's very patient and listens to you in order to get a good history. Her examinations are thorough and not rushed. After two years, I've yet to have a diagnosis and treatment that didn't seem to be working. Plus my cat loves her and doesn't need sedation for procedures if it's Dr. Karen. I can't comment on Dr. Catherine because I've only really seen her once but she's very pleasant and I liked her.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Liz for a number of years and have always valued her opinion and quick diagnosis. I feel very confident about her work and feel I am given good sound service for the fee. She is always available to chat about procedures and options and I find her to be very approachable and friendly, as well as her staff. It is obvious to me that she is a "cat lover". I highly recommend her clinic!

I agree with comments re Dr. Liz. Her attitude is quite ridiculous considering she deals with people all day as well as cats. The charge outs are also a problem.

My little 2 year old male cat was having trouble peeing. I noticed this and took him to our local vet. She is a really good caring vet. She told us to feed him a certain vet food that helps break down stones in their bladder. We did this and brought him home but he was yowling when he tried to pee. We took him back in to our local vet who took and ultra sound and sent to another vet that specialized in Cats. I was told by, Dr.Liz Richards to bring him down right away when she saw the ultra sound. He was very blocked which wouldn't be broken down by food and he needed help right away. He was not able to pee and needed help unblocking his pee pee (sorry not technical). Dr. Liz preformed surgery as soon as we got there and gave him the best medical attention. He did have stones embedded so he did have to have another operation. Dr.Liz organized this with a vet that specializes in this. After a couple of surgeries and lots of love from all the Staff at 'All About Cats' my boy is 100%.

I love this clinic! Frindly and helpful staff, and extremely knowledgeable and expexperienced doctors. I am particularly fond of Dr. Karen and Dr. Liz. I always feel like my little fur-child is in good hands when I need to bring him in. Sometimes I think the staff loves him just as much as I do!

A friend of mine recommended All About Cats to me when my cat fell ill recently and I am very greatful! The care that was given to my beloved kitty was fanominal. Dr. Liz was so compassionate and understanding and her devotion to the cats that come to her in of need her help was unmistakeable. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this clinic to anyone who only wants the best for their cat.

i prefer going to vets that specialize in cats because i feel they know cats best, and this place is no exception- i have been going off and on here for about 6 years- the only thing i don't like, is a) the owner dr.liz- she is dreadfully unpleasant- i have experienced her harsh personality on several occasions and it's extremely off-putting- instead now, i ask for the other vets, who are so very lovely -i do however, find that x-rays, blood tests, fecal tests, all sorts of tests are frequently ordered and i feel at times that these are upsells- my cats have boarded there as well and they are the only facility that always bill me upon my return for "appetite stimulants" that they always "had to administer" to them- where as, no other vet boarding facilities have ever done this- it just seems strange- i often feel taken advantage of here, but when it comes to cats specifically, i feel that a cat-only vet, does know cats the best-

The receptionist at this clinic was amazing and went out of her way for me when I brought my cat in. She even called me at home after my cats procedure to check up on me and kitty to see if we were doing ok and getting the meds down. Would totally recommend this clinic.

Dr Liz and her staff identified the life threatening condition our cat had which was missed by several other Qualified Vets who said she was ok. Sassy improved to the point that she now has a very good life and is very comfortable in her own skin. The whole experience was made a lot better by the professional and caring environment offered by 'All About Cats'

All about cats, while good at what they do you are paying 30% more for the same service at other vets. We are taking our 2 cats to another vet recommeded by a friend that is just as good and for a better price. A meesage to All about cats: Shame on you all for ripping off people. Do your homework people!

Dr. Liz has been an excellent, caring vet to both my cats. She is honest in her assessments and has seen both animals through some trying times. Also, she was able to diagnose a skin condition that my one cat had had for years and that my previous vet, a specialist known all over North America, had not been able to solve. I have a great respect for her and the staff, who genuinely seem to care. My only complaint is the cost. Even when I take my cats in for their regular exams, there is always "something" that comes up and I never walk out of there without paying hundreds of dollars. That said, I have NEVER felt scammed by All About Cats, only exasperated that vet bills in any clinic (I've been to several) are outrageous.

Dr. Liz is one of the best. She is compassionate, caring, and willing to go the extra mile (some of her staff could take a few lessons though). The problem is that she is also one of THE MOST expensive. For this reason I am, very reluctantly, looking for a new vet.

Dr. Liz treated my cat for vomiting and bloody diarreah. On meds she did well for a few months. Dr. Liz did NOT listen to me - she knew my cat better than I apparently! She was very condenscending towards me. A 'specialist' there saw her and diagnosed her with "Colic". She had 3 ultrasounds, numerous tests - some without my permission. On New Year's Eve, Liz sent her home bleeding profusely from her rectum, to suffer IMMENSELY over the weekend. I gave her large doses of pain meds, and comforted her as she cried, bled and****ed 29 times in one day. Dr. Liz REFUSED to palliate her after the weekend, and I had to let her go - could not bear her suffering any longer. It cost me $7,000 over 9 months, with no accurate diagnosis. At the end she 'guessed' she must have a tumour. Wonderful Dr. Karen Kutney and dear Alexis came to my home and gently and respectfully euthanized my beloved girl. They were so kind and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Karen, and the support staff are exceptional.

I've worked and treated my pet's with Dr. Liz. Although slightly pricey you are paying for the best care possible. I've seen and helped Dr.Liz and Dr.Monica save some very ill cats. You really do get what you pay for, and you couldn't as for anything better then what Dr. Liz is offering. After seeing and working for a variety of clinics Dr.Liz gives me faith that there are still some good vet's out there.

We trust Dr. Liz with all three of our dearly loved cats. Earlier this year she saved the life of our youngest who had an incredibly severe, complex ans unusual infection that refused to respond to the usual treatments. We were forced to take our little one to Animal Emergency at first and also to the Critical Care vet but in the end, Dr. Liz found the answer. The case was so complex that Dr. Liz ended up bringing in another vet to consult and also called around North America for advice from other experts. We really appreciated the fact she was humble and not afraid to ask for assistance for our extreme case. Dr. Liz and her staff genuinely seem to love cats and while they are more expensive (and we're just regular middle class folks), it seems absolutely worth the extra investment to us.
