Terrible experience with the male vet who provided the service. Zero personality, zero bedside manners! I get that you are an animal hospital but you don't need to treat your patients and clients like cattle! I will never go back tot his place.

They have been seeing my animals for the last 28 years and in that time I have had 10 dogs and 8 cats. They have even taken the time to advise me on my 8 horses. I find them wonderful and very professional. The staff are excellent always seeing my animal's care and providing me with any updates as needed. All of my animals lived long and thanks in large part to Dr. Tropea very healthy happy lives. They provide a number of specialty services for their patient including some very complicated surgeries and are regularly sent referrals from other vet clinics even ones from New York. They provide on call services at all times when the clinic is not open. My animals are like my children and their care is extremely important so I have scouted out many clinics as far as ottawa and can honestly say I would not go anywhere else.

We've been bringing our pets (and we have many) here since 2007. No complaints. We've used the services of Dr. Tropea, Dr. Callahan, Dr. El Korchi and Dr. Virag and find all of them to be caring and professional. The support staff is also excellent. I find it hard to believe that they have a "very bad reputation" with the board of veterinarians in Guelph. As for Dr. Callahan, he recently dealt with a very difficult diagnosis for our cat, and took great pains to try to get to the bottom of things, including consulting with all the other vets in the practice, and a vet prof at U. of Guelph. I would not hesitate to entrust the care of my animals to him. And Dr. Tropea found a hemangiosarcoma in our elderly dog and removed it before it could rupture. Usually these tumours kill the dog before they are discovered. SLVAH also does a lot of great work for the local OSPCA.

My pets were treated by Callaghan who is the worst vet there. If you care about your pet stay clear of this guy. I will.

I agree with the last post. Unfortunately it isn't worth posting specifics because most people in Cornwall are not astute enough to even look for a site like this. But let me say, this clinic is horrible but it is the only one in town really. That's why living in a small community has it's drawbacks. If they kill or mame your animal and they have with mine, there the only game in town and they know it. Monopolies are never good.

Awful. They refuse to give you information, my cat had to be revived during the night, and I wasn't permitted to be informed of that until the next morning, late. I then called the next morning to see if he survived the night, and was told it was essentially none of my business until the vet gets in at 10am to decide if he's alive or not. Day or night, a pet owner has the right to know exactly how their animal is doing. Not at vets leisure. I'll never bring another animal near this place. I don't think I should be on a need to know basis when it's my pets life in question.

Dr. Tropea is the only vet I would recommend there or would trust. Dr. Vizel and Dr. Callaghan have both made serious mistakes on my pets
