I find Dr. Brooks to be very rude and condiscending. I find that he pushes for testing that is not within reason and gets very upset when you do not comply with his suggestions. I find that he openly disagrees with the care of some of the other vets- even though we find their care to be excellent. In my opinion seeing Dr. Brooks is a very stressful event and we avoid it at all costs.

I got a quote, set appt and had bloodwork done specifically for an 8 year old dog's tumor removal. An emergency came up on a diff dog, so I had to bump surgery up to my next paycheck. They claimed the bloodwork at 40 days old was no longer useful and they wanted a new blood panel. No way. I had them fax the "ancient" blood results to another vet who did the surgery instead.

I have been a client of Dr. Cook's for almost 20 years now. That in and of itself should say something about satisfaction, knowledge and expertise. Doc & the staff have always been fair, given me great advice when I needed it and always answered my questions. The staff is polite and professional and even my animals are very fond of them.

I have taken my kitten to this clinic since I got her. The first vet that saw her spoke ONLY to my husband who stood across the room. I was stood across the table from him, holding my kitten and he NEVER spoke to me. A few weeks ago I got a quote/scheduled a spay/declaw appointment for this morning. I was told to drop her off last night and they would do the procedure this morning. When I dropped her off they suggested doing ANOTHER blood test just before the surgery...$70 in addition to about $350 they had quoted. I gave them two phone numbers to reach me about how the surgery went. It is 7:39PM and I've called them twice - at 3:00 and at 7:09. Both times I was on hold for over 10 minutes and they did the surgery sometime after my 3:30 call by a vet not even listed on their website (Cullum). Their office closed at 7:30. So she was there all night and all day for nothing and will be there tonigh -this soon after surgery by herself for the night. WHAT DID I PAY THEM FOR??!?!?

This vet does not offer personal service. They just try to move and your animal in and out of the office as quickly as possible. Also, don't bother asking any questions. For any concerns, they provide you with a hand-out and you are told to call back if the hand-out does not answer any questions. The receptionists can also be very rude at times. My wife and I have finally decided to look for another vet. The only reason we stayed was because it was close to our home.

After years at our previous vet, I switched to Bel Air Vet upon a recommendation from a staff member at the humane society. I am very pleased. Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly, the vets are pleasant, and they even have walk-in hours during the week. And they are one of the few veterinarians to take the spay/neuter certificates and not add on fifteen extra charges. I have seven pets and am very pleased.
