My family have been clients here for many many years. Service care and compassion are what keeps us coming back. They are now open 7 days a week which has already been a benefit to us, and we were quite pleased to see that Dr Kearns has returned.

I took my bird here as an emergency and I was very happy with the services. I have regularly taken my little guys to Oakville to an avian vet. However since this was an emergency I did not have time to make the trip, and this clinic took me in despite the short term notice. The doctor was very helpful, and although he indicated that he was not a specialist in avian medicine, he made an informed decision as to what to do with my bird. It is hard to find any vets in the area that see birds, and he gave me a list of options and was transparent with the process and costs involved for each. The receptionist and technician were very kind and understanding, making sure to put me in a room as soon as I came in. Thankfully, my bird is on the mend, and I liked how the receptionist called me the following day to make sure all was well, and if I had any questions or concerns. The doctor also advised me to call if I had any more concerns. Pleasantly surprised with this clinic, will be back!

For exotic pet owners out there, please DO NOT visit MOHAWK ANIMAL CLINIC. I called before coming in asking if the vet treats exotic pets like CHINCHILLAS and I get an answer of "yes". The veterinarian who supposedly said he had experience in diagnosing/treating chinchillas clearly cannot distinguish a male or female. He very much relied on internet sources during my chinchilla's examination and even the surgery at the time. Of course we know our own pets' gender when she had her very own chin. Not one word was mentioned to me before he went in to do the surgery and what they were going to do to her, until after. Later on, I found a wiki website page on the internet stating the same processes of the surgery that he was telling me. I would not have walked into this animal clinic. My chinchilla was suppose to come in for a "second operation" but a day after I got her, she passed away. Very unprofessional telling pet owners that the vet treats exotic animals.

Great clinic, staff and Dr. are very helpful, have provided exceptional care for my pets, consider budget and treat them like their own. Dr. Kearns is the best!

The "Vet" doesn't know what he's doing, he marked the xrays wrong and my cat had surgery on wrong leg (different vet/surgeon at other clinic) my cat was unable to recover (RIP)from this avoidable and careless error... the vet at Mohawk made us pay to have my cat put down..he wouldn't even talk to us (hid in the back room and made his staff deal with us) even though it was HIS FAULT!!! however the staff/assistants were caring and compitant...if you love your pet, don't go to this Vet!!!
