I had a horrible experience with Aventura Animal Hospital. Dr. Mitchell gave me medicine for my cat and did not instruct me to watch for any possible side effects. My cat crawled under my bed and died within two hours, choking on her own vomit from the medication. She was thirteen years old and the love of my life!!!! I was devestated!!!! When I called Dr. Mitchell to inform her of what had happened, she was very cold and uncaring. She simply said, "What do you want me to do? Come and pull your dead cat out from under your bed?" I was horrified!!! She had given me medicine that killed my "baby" and didnt even care!!! What is she doing in veterinary medicIne? I tried to call the owner, (Dr. Rappaport,) also a vet, to tell him what had happenend but he would not talk to me and referred me back to Dr. Mitchell. I would not recommend this practice to anyone!!!! I will never get over this terrible trauma and loss.
