After 16.5 years we had to put down Sasha our German Sheppard cross. We were planning on doing this in the near future as her health was failing and had set a time with Dr Cross and Sandra to come to our house and do what was needed. We had dealt with Sandra and Dr Cross on various occasions before and have found them both to be kind, professional and efficient. Unfortunately a few weeks before the date Sasha's hip gave way and she could not walk any more. We called the vet and Sandra and Dr Cross were able to find time that day that they both could come and attend to Sasha at our house. Sandra and Dr Cross were very compassionate and helped us through a very difficult time in our lives. Thank you Sandra and Dr Cross.

I have been taking my pets to Lakewood ever since it opened. The vets have changed but I always feel that they are interested in my animals and they do a very good job. I find it strange that people would be dissatisfied. I do find it quite expensive and it's very busy. I often take my dogs to Regent Park Clinic. It's fairly new and I have always been able to get in righ away.

I have taken my 3 dogs and cat to Lakewood for many years now. Dr. Cross helped to save my kitten Mortimer when he ate a lily plant and almost died of kidney failure. They are also open to raw feeding which most veterinarians are not. I like that they do not try to push prescprition diet dog food on you that they sell in store. Some prices can be a bit expensive so for larger procedures I go to TMZ in Lumsden, but for regular things Lakewood is a great veterinary clinic!

I've used this clinic a handful of times, and each time except once was an awful experience. Out of all those negative experiences, all but 1 resulted in me having to go somewhere else and spend more money. Wish I had stopped giving them another chance after the second time.

Saw Dr Walker when my dog had been attacked by another dog. They were able to get me in right away. Dr Walker took very good care of him. They cleaned up all of his cuts and tissue glued the really bad one and gave him some antibiotics. They called a few days after to check up on him to make sure he was doing alright! LOVE this clinic and will always take my pets here.

My experiences with the Lakewood Animal Clinic have always been positive. I find the facilities very clean and in good condition. The staff are all very punctual. Their prices are in accordance with other pet clinics. My families cats have been clients for over 15 years. Our pets and ourselves have been treated with respect and compassion at all times. From check-ups to sickness to the end of life experiences with four of my cats, there is no other vet clinic that I would want to deal with. I believe that Dr.Powers, Dr.Sthamann and Dr.Walker are doing the occupation that they were meant to do. All the staff are friendly and caring. I have never had a negative experience with this clinic and I doubt I ever will.

I've been taking my pets to Lakewood Animal Hospital for 8 years and each visit has overall been great. Dr. Sthamann's holistic approach and diet recommendations have kept my pup in optimal condition. It's no wonder why she has been voted best of Regina 8 years in a row.

We have been taking our golden retriever Bailey to this clinic for about 13 years. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We've always been happy with any services that were required for Bailey and will continue to use this facility for any future pet health needs. Their costs are in line with other clinics we've used.

Dr. Jenny Skific has been our vet for many years and cared for our previous three dogs. Her move to Lakewood is the reason we switched clinics. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Communication has been great and our appointments have been on time. We would highly recommend Lakewood Animal Hospital.

We have been taking our cats to this clinic for several years. Sadly, last year we had to put one of our sweet cats down. It was a difficult and heartbreaking situation, but the staff at the Lakewood clinic were so compassionate and patient and supportive, that it helped make the situation a little easier to bear. They really went above and beyond and I am forever grateful.

My dog had a cronic ear infection and I took him to see 2 other vets in Regina and when I finally decided to go with Dr. Sthamann I was crying to the heavens! Right form the time I walked in the staff were incredibly friendly and I never got that from the 2 other places I had been to before ;(. The attention to my dog received from the Dr. Sthamann was one a mother would give to her own child. I was practically in tears before I left because she (finally a vet) that took a swab and determined immediatelythat my dog had a yeast overgrowth (why could no other vet do this?) Instead we are treating it naturally instead of trying to sell me the shelf and sending me home with hard instructions for my dog. The wealth of information Dr. Sthamann has is the BEST I have ever seen!! She helps from within and does not mask anything! I HIGHLY recommend her and this veterinary clinic to anyone that considers their pet their child or a member of the family. You will understand when you meet her that

My cats have been attending Lakewood Animal Hospital for many years. I have always had an excellent experience with all of the doctors at this clinic. They are soooo good and patient with my cats. Last year I lost a seven month old kitten that I had adopted. After my little one was neutered, she began to show symptoms that were not related to her neutering. She was not in good shape. She didn't want to be alone and would not leave my side. Every time I would lay down, she would jump up and lay across my neck like she was cold. All of the kitten in her was gone. When I took her in, her test results were grim so we decided together that the best way to find out what was going on was to operate. Prior to the operation I held her in my arms promising that she would come home to me and her siblings. It turned out to be much more serious. My little one made it through the surgery but took her last breath in the caring arms of the doctor. She wasn't alone.

Dr.Powers has been my Vet since my dog has been a pup, he's always been great. he takes his time, checks him over carefully, gives me great advice and answers any questions I may have. The staff are great there too, they know my dog by name when he comes in and always say hi and have to come over to greet him which is always a great feeling. Excellent over all

nothing but great experiences at this clinic. I love not being treated like a moron and my concerns are never waved off like I have experienced at other clinics. they never try to push heavy drugs as the first option, and even when I have been ready to resort to drugs they have given be options I didn't know about allowing my pets to be comfortable and drug free for much longer. they really are top of the line and keep up to date on all the new research. this clinic is not cheap bit it is well worth it.

I diagnosed our pug as having ear margin vasculitis but wanted to know how i could treat his ears. The vet, Dr. Anderson did not seem familiar with what was happening to his ears nor did she offer any real advice on treatment yet she charged me $80 for a 5 min consult. NOT impressed.

Warming, Warning, stay away from this animal clinic! We had a very sick dog that wasn't eating and after a week of seeing 3 different doctors (every time we had to go back another doctor was assigned and we had to start over with the history), numerous painful torturous tests to our dog and hundreds of dollars later, they advised us that they couldn't figure out what was wrong and suggested that we go the animal hospital in Saskatoon. We got in to the Saskatoon animal hospital the next day and after a 10 minute examination from their qualified veterinarian he advised me that the poor dog was full of cancer and was able to take my hand and let me feel the masses. As far as I'm concerned the Lakewood Animal hospital should be shut down and charged with malpractice. Unless you want to torture your poor animal and drain your wallet I strongly advise that you stay away from this clinic.

It's pretty much hit and miss with the front desk staff and assistants. But, the vets are great and pretty thorough every time I'm been in with either of my two dogs. One of my dogs was quite ill and the vet we saw took the time to find out what was wrong and even got back to us with second opinions from the other vets in the clinic a few days later. There was no pressure and no guilt trips. Love the phone calls to make sure things are still okay.

We used to bring our animals to this clinic. We have two cats and a dog. We were advised by dr stahman that making our own food from human grade meat was the best thing we could do for our animals, so of course that is what we did.
One evening we noticed one cat hiding in the closet which is very unusual. The next morning that cat would not eat his food and was clearly in pain. We rushed the cat to the vet which determined that the cat had a crystal blockage in the bladder. The blockage was removed successfully. In the post op meeting dr stahman continued to boast the all natural diet and did not advise us of any other treatment even after the blockage.
Months later another urine test at another vet office determined the cat still has crystals. We were told then that the natural diet is probably the cause and there is better food to solve this problem.
My dog also has crystals from her natural diet.
I will not go back to this vet she clearly only wants to push she na

I love this clinic and the new vet Dr Tang. is great. Rather than rush us out the door with a bunch of drugs, she answered all our questions. She's the third vet we've been to with our dog and we finally understand whats been going on. Definately reccommend this plae.

Dr. Stahman and her staff are super. She is knowledgable and friendly and well versed in holistic therapies. Dr. Stahman takes the time to talk with you and address any questions you have have and answers them in a clear and concise manner. She is well versed in pet nutrition and is a proponent of raw/species appropriate diets. The front office is bright and welcoming for both you and your pet. The staff very friendly and you do not feel rushed or like you in an assembly line. Dr. Stahman is the only vet that we will take our 6 cats and 1 dog to see for any health issues.

Dr. Stahman is the best vet around, she is knowlegable in Holistic, allopathic, homepathic and accupunture. she gets to knoew her clients and if you know your stuff she wont treat like like a moron and assume you need bottle fed. she is not the cheapest vet around, but she is WELL worth it.
