Took my 11 year old cat here, she was healthy, happy, eating, drinking, other than a lump on her leg which we brought her in to have checked and removed, along with her nails clipped which he missed quite a few. Our beloved cat got the surgery, came home and then started acting strange so we took her back and rebandaged her leg and sent us home. She became lethargic and wouldnt eat or drink so we put a call in and my husband took her back, they rehydrated her and kept saying the blood work was perfect. When i called again and said she was vomitting coffee grind looking blood in large quantities we took her back again and he minitored her for a day, when we got her home she was so skinny and unfortunatley looking for a quiet place to die ugh.we took her to another vet and he said she was bleeding internally, extremely anemic and wouldnt last long enough for him to get the blood in to transfuse, we did the human thing and uthenized. The vet let my cat die, be very weary of him.

Dr. Chaudhry is very unethical and inhumane. This was by far the worst veterinary experience I've ever had and my dog and I are utterly traumatized. He performed surgery on my dog and when we came back to get the stitches removed a week later, he didn't know who we were or what operation was performed. My dog's stitches were covered with scabs and I asked him to soften them before he removed them, which is what other clinics would do automatically. He had no intention of doing that and then grabbed a pair of scissors off the table that didn't look clean and started to cut the stitches without having cleaned the area. He then ripped out the scabs with the stitches sending my dog screaming at the top of her lungs. I was about to pass out from the horror. There was a gaping hole! I run out of there in tears and said I was never going to come back and he said "oh it was a misunderstanding." His partner had his license revoked. Please don't entrust your animals with Dr. Torture.

Doctor and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Everytime my dog and I go there they remember us and all her conditions. They follow up to find out how she is doing after each visit. I have changed my dog vet due to distance and regretfully I return back to Terra Nova village vet clinic and feel sorry to change her vet. Doctor Chadhury is amazing. Good listener and excellent in explaining each conditions my dog have. His diagnostics are 100% accurate. Cilinic is fully equiept.

I took Bailey my 7 years old Lab to Terra Nova Village Veterinary Clinic in emergency, the staff took my dog quickly in the examnation room and Doctor Chaudhry examined my dog and did the quick tests and found that my dog has a tumor in the belley. I was so much worried about it and talked to my mom and other family. Doctor advised to do surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was done at 11.00pm by Dr.Chaudhry. My dog was up and alert in the morning. My dog is happy and very lively now. I really appreciate the doctor and the staff who have taken great care of my dog and saved the life of my dog. The staff is very co-operative and caring.I recommend every one to Terra Nova Clinic Richmond for best service

Our kitten Paris, a beautiful Persian/Siamese was going through a heat cycle and was very uncomfortable as we could not see her in pain and needed her spayed immediately. We were looking for a good clinic and were referred to Dr. Sharma at Terra Nova Village Clinic in Richmond. He saw her after hours at our request, hospitalized her and then performed her surgery with great care and expertise. He also called in to check up on how Paris was recovering and addressed all our concerns. Paris is now very happy and back to being herself as she charms every body with her dramatic glamour, after all her name is Ms. Paris. We would like to thank Dr. Sharma and the Terra Nova staff for showing their love and compassion to our beloved family member, Paris and recommend this clinic for their prompt, compassionate and economical service.

This clinic is a sham. They will add things to your bill, raise prices according to how much money they think they can get off you, (I checked my bill with a friends to find out i had been charged DOUBLE the price on the same services!) The staff are always changing which is not a good sign. I will take my business elsewhere from now on! I was also told that the doctors have friends and families write positive reviews on this site. If you look on the BC college of veterinarians website you will also see that Dr.Sharma had his license to practice suspended and was fined for incompetence! He performed a declawing procedure (which is inhumane in itself) and ended up CRIPPLING someones cat! Disgusting!

I had a 7 yrs old dog who was in a terrible pain and had seizure. It was quite late in night and i wasn't being entertained by any other clinics as well prices that were being charged were exorbitantly high.Thanks to Terra Nova Clinic who came to rescue at the crucial point and gave excellent treatment at minimal cost and were time efficient too. This has been my regular clinic since then as well as for my family and friends too. I would strongly recommend this clinic to everyone who wants good care for their pets at any time as its 24/7 open.Special Thanks to Dr. Rameez and Dr. Javed. I owe you guys.

Love this clinic and Dr.Rameez! He found and treated cushings disease and renal failure. After treatment, I literally have a new dog, my 7 year old lab is like a puppy again! I am so thankful! They're very affordable too! I won't be going anywhere else.

This hospital is AH-MAZING! I can't say enough about Dr.Rameez's kindness. I have called him a couple of times late at night (even @ 2am!) because lately my pup has been very sick, and he was incredibly helpful regardless of the time. I eventually brought my akita in for his seizures, and couldn't be more pleased with the treatment and this hospital. Dr.Rameez and his daughter/assistant are meticulous, and made sure to answer all my questions. Dr.Rameez even let me and my husband stay with my pup while he was on i.v. fluids in hospital for as long as I wanted, which I know must have been troublesome for them! They even made me comfortable. When my baby stayed overnight Dr.Rameez called me to update on his condition even past 10pm. My baby has a long journey ahead, as do I, so I am thankful to have Dr.Rameez here with us.

I am a fairly new client here but thoroughly impressed with their service. I originally brought my two dogs here for dental cleaning, prior to which doctor Rameez ran a blood panel on my older dog. Even though dr.Rameez found my dog to have multiple issues he did not push any further testing or medication. The dr explained all the options but let me make the final decision. The staff here is an added bonus, they are amazing. I have found my forever veterinarian!

This clinic has been very supportive of me and my dying cat. My cat was dying of kidney failure and I was unable to repeatedly come to the clinic because I don't have a car. Dr.Rameez did multiple house calls for me including the euthanasia. He was very sympathetic as were the staff at the clinic. I will definitely return here when I get my next cat.

Dr.Ramez is the best! He is very caring and understanding. I recently got a puppy and he was very thorough about what my pup needs in his first year. The receptionist helped me carry everything to my car, and even emailed me with a timeline of my pup's first year, and some tips. It's not often you see this kind of customer service. Not to mention their great prices and hours. I'll be returning here regularly!

Very good service, and very thorough too! A doctor's time is very valuable and Dr.Rameez is always willing to spend extra time with us, whether I'm in with my pup for an exam or just picking up food he always takes the time to talk with us and answer all my questions.

Brought our dog here to have his teeth cleaned. They did a great job on his teeth, let us know what they did. Sent us clear paperwork on what happened and what we needed to do after. Definitely an eye opening visit for me, had no idea my poor dog was missing teeth! Despite a heart murmur and age, they did not push a drug regime on us, but let us know of what to watch for. I appreciate that. Excellent value for us, worked out a payment plan. We're extremely happy. Will be returning for sure!

I have taken all three of my dogs over the years to this clinic. I had excellent service with Dr. Dear and now with the two new owners. I feel that the vets and staff are particularly kind and are willing to take the time to answer all my questions. I strongly recommend this clinic.

I only take my two huskies and one cat to this clinic. I trust both doctors completely. I can tell the doctors and staff really care about the animals. They even know how to deal with my highly antisocial cat! I bring my puppies and cat here for everything from basic exams to surgeries, and have yet to be disappointed. The clinic is clean with high tech equipment, and the staff is always very friendly.

I called this clinic close to midnight because my dog was very sick, and having seizures. The doctor said I could bring my dog in right away! I came in quickly and dr.Rameez let me in. His staff got my info right away and the dr started treating my dog. They were able to take blood tests and X-rays on the spot. I am happy to say that they saved my dog's life, and I am very grateful for their efficiency and compassion, the doctors and staff are very knowledgeable. They pay attention to all details and gave me clear and informative instructions on how to take care of my dog when I took him home. This is the only hospital I will be visiting from now on.

**MUST READ** Before going to this veterinary clinic, you must read this [http://www.cvbc.ca/cfm/index.cfm?...] I was recommended to come here by a friend who had Dr. Dear treat all her dogs in the past. We were unaware that Dr. Dear had retired and that there were new owners taking over the practise. FIRST, I asked to get a microchip put into my dog for tagging purposes; I later found the microchip on the OUTSIDE on my dogs fur after it was supposedly put into my dog just under the skin behind his neck. SECONDLY, I called about 4 months ago to see if my dog was due for his annual shot and they said he wasn't and that they would send a reminder via postcard when he was due. I was hoping to book a grooming appointment & was told by my groomers that my dog was due for his shot THREE months ago. I called the Terra Nova Vet Clinic immediately, and the receptionist explained that the postcards for June may not have gone out. Meaning many pets are without shots. DO NOT GO HERE.

I am a regular at this clinic and have brought my dog here for minor and major procedures, including a dental cleaning and timeout removal. These two procedures can be very expensive and after many comparison it was clear to me that they provided me with the best price. The doctors and staff are very attentive and went out of their ways to ensure comfort. Post op care was also wonderful!

My chihuahua was seriously ill, with vomiting and bloody diarrhea, and would not eat. I went to a vet in richmond who made me a very expensive estimate and would not begin treatment without a downpayment! I then went to this clinic, dr.Chaudhry made me an estimate, and when I told him I could not afford he told me that I could pay once I have the money, and in installments. He was very kind and gave immediate treatment. The staff was also very hospitable and tried to make me as comfortable as possible when I would come multiple times throughout the day to see my dog. I recommended this clinic to my friends, and would recommend it to everyone else too.

I believe that this hospital is wonderful! I took my dog there and the staff, even though they were a bit slow, were very friendly and tried to get to know me. Both doctors were very kind and knowledgable and i love how the staff chat with me and act very friendly. I would definitely come here again!

Great when Dr. Dear and his staff were there. He performed a very tricky surgery on my girl and saved her when I had been told at the emergency hospital there was no hope. We are still together. New vets I wouldn't trust. One lost his licence for awhile. . Staff extremely slow - spoke a different language in front of me so I didn't know what was going on. Moved my dogs to Dr. Millar in Steveston - lovely person.

We went to DR Dear because he was the best. Not pleased at his sudden departure, went there with dehydration and it wasn't terrible, but can't imagine if it was an actual emergency. DR Chaudry was OK, his background makes me ask questions but I'm not one to judge based on hearsay. Had a blood panel done, they no longer have lab facilities there, what else do they not have? Going on and on about price and what we want to do...If there wasn't a better alternative I'd probably go back; it was wasn't terrible. But there are better alternatives that were close behind DR Dear, will not be going back.

I was worried too when heard the news that Dr. Dear has sold the hospital. Last week we have to take our dog there for some emergency treatment. We got a chance to meet both Dr. Sharma and Dr. Chaudhry. Both the doctors seem very caring and knowledgeable. Front destk staff was friendly too. Next day we received a call from Dr. Sharma just to check if everything is alright. The new extended hours and opening in weekend is really convenient.

Liked Dr Dear but all if the sudden he has sold practice with no warning. I haven't seen any of his staff since he has sold either which was nice to have consistency. I am suspicious that one of the new doctors, dr rameez sharma, is the doctor who was suspended by the vet association a couple years back but am not sure how to check that out accurately. Can anybody confirm/deny. The clinic is convenient and the new hours make it even more so but I want quality care for my animals.

Dr. Dear no longer runs this place. Dr. Rameez Sharma was the vet I took my dog to see. He was very nice and really seemed to care about my dogs health. The only downside I had with the visit really is that the front staff were pretty slow at getting the billing organized. I gave the service I received today an average rating.

Dr Dear has been a wonderful and caring vet and his staff excellent. Dr Sonnendrucker sometimes did locums here and she has been fabulous with my cat. When my cat was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, Dr S suggested radiation treatment - so grateful she told us about it as my cat is cured and I don't have to force medicine into her or take her as often to the vet. I just found out today that Dr Dear has retired and sold his practice a few weeks ago - no one mentioned this was going to happen when we were in last month! The new people have longer hours and open every day so obviously hard working. Hope they are as good as Dr D and his staff were.

In June 2010 my pet was treated at Terra Nova and subsequently passed away. When I wanted to take his body with me they refused to let me have him, and demanded he be cremated. I thought the whole thing was pretty strange but they gave me no choice so they wouldn't release his body to me. Well big surprise to hear that Allcare, which is the company I was forced to have my pet cremated at, is one of the cremation companies having found to be defrauding people in the recent investigation. It sure explains the actions of this Vet clinic now. Hope the kickback you must have been getting forcing people to use and be defrauded by that two-bit company was worth it!!!

Dr. Dear and his staff have been so kind and helpful in caring for my cats. My oldest cat can sometimes be difficult to handle but Dr Dear had no problems with her. I also loved getting a call a few days after our appointment to make sure that the infection was healing.

will not go back because I was charged $61 for just a health check up, but if I had my dog vaccinated AND a health check up the fee would have been $45, my dog's vaccinations were up to date. As a rescue, I merely needed for her to be checked over.

What Dr. Dear only want is MONEY!! I bought my furry friend there for some skin problem and was told that she needed blood test. I picked her up after 45mins and the bill was $600 since they did other unnecessary tests without notifying me and the most important thing is those unnecessary tests has nothing to do with her skin problem. I will not recommend this clinic at all.

The vet, Dr. Michael Dear, did a great job of diagnosing our dog with arthritis. He recommended a new pain/inflammation reducing light therapy. Our dog Max seems much more comfortable now. No other vet was able to come up with this solution or had the equipment necessary to make Max feel better. 5***** -Sandy
