I had at one time had great experience here, so when my puppy ingested a household item that was poisonous, I brought her in. ASPCA poison control had contacted them in advance to aid in prompt care and I advised them that my puppy had a diagnosed serious heart defect. Notwithstanding the above, they left her sitting for 4 hours in a cage, away from me, while the poison ran her system, with no treatment whatsover. Only after I became irate, was she seen. Then, they administered IV fluids contrary to her heart condition. I insisted on taking her home earlier than they had wanted and thank God I did, they had been giving her a high sodium IV (fatal with heart failure) which nearly killed her and cost me additional monies at my regular vet. Letters sent regarding my experience have gone unasnwered. This is not the hospital it was when it began. Now, it is staffed with incompetent doctors and is solely a money making scheme.

My one year old dog was vomiting and gagging and my regular vet was not in because it was a Saturday. I took him here because it was an emergency vet. They told me he needed X-rays, blood tests, an overnight stay, fluids, medications etc.. I asked what was wrong & they said they wouldn't know until all the tests were done because he could have swallowed something. I told them money was tight & asked how much it would cost. I was told $1,475 to find out what the problem was & possibly more once the problem was found out! I cried my eyes out because I couldn't afford it. I begged for a lower bill and the vet looked me in the eye w/ no compassion. They said his stomach could explode if it was an obstruction. I told them I needed to take him home and they charged me $375 just for x-rays and tests! Next day he****ed out a tiny piece of tinfoil & was fine. Thank goodness I took him home otherwise I would have to file chapter 11. This place is a ripoff and they try will try to gouge you!!!

So far....very expensive. They don't let you know how much you will be charged before hand. When you ask they say " Ohh....I don't know". When I asked the receptionist and even the manager...."Oh well it depends" .No straight answer! They tricked me into paying $700! BE CAREFUL!

In my opinion they dont care about the animals. Be careful. They care about your money.

I did not have such a wonderful experience at this center. I brought in a dying, very sick stray and requested to be told if animal was too old or too ill to be kept alive, so that I could euthanize. Was told cat was 2 to 4 years old, and "healthy" and she would be fine. I was billed nearly $900 for vet bills, even after stressing that I was in crisis, and had lost my job, was single parent and in a desperate financial situation but simply wanted to help this poor animal. Was told to apply for credit, which has now lowered my credit rating and months later, I'm still paying it off. I had to put the cat to sleep a few weeks later, after it remained as ill as day I brought her in. She was euthanized by another vet who was far more compassionate about fees. That vet told me cat was over 15 years old, very ill, and should never have been kept alive in first place. I have called the center's director and e-mailed many times and no response. Will pursue in small claims court.

Both of my mastiffs were diagnosed with cancer and we brought them to the Center. Everyone here is amazing and has such a love for animals. From the people at reception, to the vet techs to the oncologist - I could not ask for a better staff to care for my pets. I cannot recommend them more highly.
