4/16/15	5	4	4	4	I am a bit surprised reading some of the negative comments. I have used this vet clinic for around 15 years now and I find them wonderful. Rick is an amazing, caring vet who has gone over and above to help our animals. He has worked after hours for us in emergency situations and is always looking out for the animals interest. I always recommend him to anyone looking for a vet in the area and anyone I have spoken to who knows him loves him.
8/11/14	1	4	4	1	I brought my gundog in because he was vomiting and very lethargic. The vet diagnosed him over the phone as having Parvovirus. I brought him in and he said it would cost $2500 or more to treat him and that he would probably die soon after treatment because the virus is so hard on the dogs organs. He suggested we put the dog down, I declined and payed my $350 bill. Took my dog to Lougheed Animal Hospital and they did a blood test which was never done at Eagle Road. Turned out to be an infection and my dog is fine after being treated with IV fluids and antibiotics. I ALMOST PUT MY DOG DOWN ON ERAH'S RECOMMENDATION. Stay as far from this place as possible if you love your pet.

3/2/13	3	4	4	4	I wish there was a service rating because for that, I would have chose one. Yes they have nice staff, yes they have a nice office and are on time, but it was their service I had an issue with. Last year we lost our 4 year old Malamute to Cancer and Dr. Westendorff misdiagnosed him. For a week we trusted him and poured money into his office and for medications he subscribed .... A week later after after a tearful call to them to ask them to see him again they said it would take a week. The same day we took him to another vet who immediately tested and confirmed the cancer - we lost him the same day. He had a painful death as he bled into his stomach. When this office called back to confirm the appointment I'd set up for the week later and I informed them we lost our dog they were more concerned with where we went then offering condolences. I'd heard bad stories about this vet but read good ones here and I wish I had trusted my gut and gone elsewhere! Please find someone else!

4/14/12	4	5	5	2	Good vet, competent and affable. Prices seem to have risen over the past few years. I have the feeling this clinic is charging for as many services as they can justify rather than keeping costs down for the pet owner. As a result I am taking most of my business to Dollar-Wise clinic Bellingham where routine shots, etc. are a fraction of BC prices.
4/9/12	4	5	5	5	Dr. Westendorf is amazing. He is kind and patient and really cares about the animals. He has gone above and beyond for our pets. When our Pug was not able to be saved and we were out of town he waited up until midnight for us to make it back. After our beloved Pug was put to sleep he offered to drive us home because we were so upset. Many times he has written us a prescription for drugs because we could get them cheaper at a drugstore than through him. Highly recommend.

12/3/11	5	5	5	5	I can't say enough good about Rick; his clinic and his team. He has saved the life of 3 of my cats. In 2 cases, other vets had given up on them. He gave us 3 additional years with one - that is priceless. I have had work done at the specialty clinic in Vancouver for $3000 that Rick re-did (and better) for 1/5 of that cost. He truly loves animals and is definitely not about the money!!
9/20/11	3	5	4	1	Rick is a great vet but has gotten to expensive over the years. The price on services are above the quotes most of the time. And his diagnosis would often lead to a surgery or an extreme outcome. What about trying conservative measures. Sometimes the staff has too much input and need to keep their comments to themselves. The facility is beautiful country setting and very clean.
