Click to report rating    1/23/19   5     5     5     5   I’m actually shocked that there are ratings here that aren’t 5 stars. We started seeing Dr. Peters and team 2 years ago after we adopted our second cat. They were beyond phenomenal. Shortly after our first visit, we had a bit of an emergency and they were able to squeeze us in right away. The team is also really great with our attitude cat. She has a hard time with vets after she was tramatized at an emergency 24/7 clinic. Everyone at the clinic is super friendly. I seriously can’t say enough about how great they are!! RID: 67266
Click to report rating    10/22/18   5     5     5     4   My cats have been patients of Glenora Cat Clinic for several years. I appreciate this clinic because the staff are professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate; the clinic is clean and quiet; the location is convenient; and the price is reasonable. I have always had a good experience, and I truly feel like my cats and I are valued patrons. Thank you, Glenora Cat Clinic, and keep up the great work! RID: 66940
Click to report rating    5/16/18   3     5     2     1   I was kind of disappointed with the service when dealing with secondary vet. I had heard great reviews of this vet clinic but when I brought my cat here for the first tinne, it wasn’t the greatest experience. But to note, it was my first experience at a clinic and I should have spoken up for myself more. Initially they were over 30 min getting me in and then I was there over 2 hours waiting for testing. And then they did testing that wasn’t needed/or asked/ or told of the pricing above of what I initially brought my cat in for. The primary vet though called and emailed all information and was much more informative. She was very forthcoming with her knowledge and pricing of everything. RID: 66141
Click to report rating    2/28/17   5     5     5     4   I have been taking my cats here for three years, the staff are warm and welcoming, and they all have a true and obvious love of cats. The receptionist is very helpful and knowledgable. The vet is wonderful, she does not over-vaccinate or deworm my cats, she is honest and always gives options for treatment plans. My cats are comfortable and relaxed in the clinic and with the vet, even rolling over for her to give belly rubs. RID: 62865
Click to report rating    5/18/16   4     3     4     1   I have to agree that this clinic aggressively up-sells. I'm well aware that a pet is an investment, and am more than willing to commit to that investment, but when I compare this clinic to others I feel I can get the same quality of products and services elsewhere. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, but you pay more than you should for what they offer. Click to report rating    9/24/15   1     1     1     1   Terrible scheduling hours. I requested a Saturday appointment through their new "online request". Because of my work schedule, I cannot make an appointment during the week. I was emailed back and told to come in that day (which was yesterday). When I told them no, I needed a Saturday appointment - they then told me they were closed on Saturday. My cat is sick so she needs to be seen but their hours are not convenient. I haven't been to the clinic yet...but I doubt I will bother scheduling with them. After checking their hours online...apparently they close random Saturdays and Mondays. Terrible... RID: 58503
Click to report rating    9/23/15   3     3     4     2   I alway have the feeling of being "upsold" there. You're forced to come in once a year for an appointment that works out to about $250. If you don't you can't buy any of the special food. Basically they have held your cat's health for ransom. However, they are now under new management. Haven't had an appointment yet but will hopefully have a better experience. RID: 58494
Click to report rating    7/3/15   1     1     1     1   Don't waste your money on this clinic, terrible service. Worst I have seen in a vet clinic. will not be back RID: 57613
Click to report rating    6/29/15   1     2     2     1   First time going to this clinic and I was not pleased with the cold atmosphere they have. The receptionist is not very welcoming and I felt uncomfortable waiting for my appointment. When my cat was seen for the appointment, the vet did not express much interest in working with my cat - in fact, there was barely any examination done. They didn't even check her weight, which was the main concern for bringing her in. For a clinic specifically for cats, they don't seem very cat friendly. prices are a little higher than most clinics, so I expected a better experience Will not be back RID: 57582
Click to report rating    7/30/14   5     4     3     5   Excellent rapport. Willing to go the extra mile (telephone conferences, e-mail follow ups, in-clinic consultations - the whole nine yards). Researched my cat's conditions when findings were unclear. Very supportive. I much prefer a clinic that takes the time and is willing to provide a host of services (several of which cost me nothing). I also appreciated their demonstrations of how to deliver medications to my cat, when I needed instructions. I highly recommend this clinic. RID: 52820
Click to report rating    6/19/14   4     4     4     4   I have been taking my cats to Glenora Cat Clinic for several years and have always had great service. Most of the staff are knowledgeable and willing to get back to you if they cannot answer a question right away. I think a lot of reviews here are very one-sided as to the whole situation, but everyone's opinion is their own. I personally have always been impressed with the care provided to my cats, the compassion expressed toward my cats and myself at each visit with Glenora. I will definitely continue bringing my cats in for care and do recommend them to anyone with cats. RID: 52170
Click to report rating    6/12/14   1     4     1     3   I started taking my two cats to Glenora thinking that a cat-only clinic would provide the best care. However, one of my cats recently required emergency surgery (performed at a 24-hour emerg clinic) and I'm super disappointed by the follow up from Glenora (my cat's file immediately got sent from the emerg clinic to Glenora). A few days post-surgery Glenora called to see how my cat was doing. The person who I talked to was not knowledgeable and couldn't answer any of my questions so a vet was going to call me back. One day passed. No call. A second. No call. A third. No call. Finally I called to express my disappointment and the vet I spoke with apologized but defended her staff member and said her response time was reasonable (she didn't respond so this didn't even make sense). My cat did in fact have complications from surgery that needed immediate attention and I ended up taking her to her former vet. When I really needed Glenora they were not there for me. I won't be back. RID: 52074

Click to report rating    4/29/13   4     4     5     5   This is absolutely the BEST vet that I have met in Edmonton. There was only 1 staff member (brand new) who I found to be a little rough with my ageing and very shy cat. Dr. McDonald and all the other staff were so kind, gentle and accommodating. As for the complaints about about price - remember you get what you pay for. My poor boy was very ill and obviously failing (cancer) and this clinic was gentle with not only him but with me as well. Dr. McDonald called me at home after hours to see how he was doing and tried everything (much of which she did not charge for). She was also honest with me when she told me that there was no possibility of curing him. I will be picking up 2 new kittens from the US next month and I would not take them anywhere else! Thank you Glenora Cat Clinic for making Heathen's last days the best that he could have and helping me as I lost my friend of 11 years. You are the BEST! RID: 42159
Click to report rating    4/17/13   5     5     5     4   Staff were very friendly and I appreciate the way they walked me through all charges before beginning work. All blood work was done on site which was a major plus as we didn't have to come back. The bill was a little pricey and they try to up sell with add ons at the end , however overal experience was great . RID: 41845
Click to report rating    9/27/12   5     5     4     4   We just brought our cat in for an annual exam and had a great visit. The staff seemed genuinely concerned about our cat. They had an emergency come in while we were there, our appointment time was pushed back so it is difficult to comment on punctuality but they did let us know what was going on at least. Cost wise they are not out of par from many other clinics around. RID: 37476
Click to report rating    4/13/12   1     1     1     1   I just left this cat clinic and was treated like a piece of****! RID: 33518
Click to report rating    9/14/11   5     4     4     5   Very caring and took the time with me. I feel i really got my money's worth and value. RID: 27614
Click to report rating    7/20/11   5     5     4     5   Absolutely love this clinic! The staff is amazing, the vet's genuinely care about my cat. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. Great bang for your buck because they are full of knowledge and make it comfortable to ask questions RID: 26353
Click to report rating    6/21/11   1     2     2     1   The staff here seem more concerned with profits than the care of the patients they are charged with. The prices paid between visits every three months has never been the same twice for the same visit. If you question their price, the dr.s become very defensive rather than explaining any reason why. Also in comparing the prices of their services, food and prescriptions with other local clinics- Glenora is far higher. RID: 25737
Click to report rating    12/31/09   5     5     5     5   I would really like to take this opportunity to correct a few previous posts. They are NOT feline specialist, and neber claim this title. It is you, the client that assumes. They have, however, limited their practice to feline health. What this means is that there is no certificate stating they specialize in only cats and can only treat cats. This is a common misconception. The concept of a cat only clinic is to reduce stress on our kitties during their visit.... Many cats are terrified if barking dogs, by limiting ones practice ou eliminatethis factor. RID: 15956
Click to report rating    10/24/09   5     5     5     5   My cats have both seen this vet since moving here almost 2 years ago. My one cat has a condition called megacolon, and has since had surgery to treat it. (Done by a specialist, not the cat clinic) We recently adopted a dog, and decided it might be more convenient to move the cats so all the animals went to the same vet. BAD IDEA. The other guy had never even heard of my cat's condition, let alone how to continually treat it. The cats are staying at the cat clinic! While they may be on the pricier side, my cat's health is worth it, especially considering their specialized knowledge of cats and their ailments. (Which other vets OBVIOUSLY don't possess)The staff are caring and I know my kitty is in good hands.(Dr. Gail MacDonald) If you are more concerned about your cat's health and well-being than you are about price (and what vet ISN'T pricey?) then I HIGHLY recommend the Glenora Cat Clinic. If cost is more important-maybe you shouldn't have a pet if you can't afford to keep it healthy. RID: 15008
Click to report rating    6/22/09   2     4     3     1   Cleo (my cat) has been going to this vet since she was a kitten. She was tattooed and spayed there and also given a rabies tag. When Cleo went missing, I called the vet to get her rabies tag number and tattoo number and they had lost ALL of her information. They weren't even apologetic. That seems suspcious to me, so I'll likely report it to the BB. It's also expensive and obviously not worth the money. DON'T GO THERE. RID: 13254
Click to report rating    4/23/09   2     3     3     1   Although the staff members express care in your cat's well-being, it felt like a giant sales pitch. Hidden costs in the bill seems to be a common practice there also. I could not help but feel taken advantage of when leaving their office. The staff differed on their views of cat health and appeared dismissive of well informed pet owner opinions. The care/treatment of my cat seemed good, but no better than other Vet clinics, but I definitely payed more than any regular-hour clinic. When challenging the fee of a booster shot that included a full priced examination, they simply charged for a re-exam instead. It seemed that they were looking for any way of charging as much as they could. I would suggest to anyone that is considering taking their cat to this clinic (or any other clinic) to ask up front what the cost will be for the visit so as not to be surprised with additional costs. I simply paid for the re-exam to never step foot in their office again, but the joke was me regardless. RID: 12549
