Our now 11 year old dog has been a patient of Dr Souccar's for approximately 8 years. She has had two surgeries and two smaller local anaesthetic procedures, as well as yearly examinations and an Xray, amongst other miscellaneous treatments. I am impressed by Dr Souccar's willingness to discuss canine health issues and her openness to new perspectives. She explains each situation clearly and offers various options. She is very skilled at eye surgery and treats owners as respected advocates for their animals. Lab results are telephoned to us as soon as they are available, and, Dr Souccar will also call when she is out of the office from her cell phone. Her staff are compassionate, while maintaining professionalism and efficiency. Emergencies are accommodated as needed and our dog LIKES to go to the vet's office! She squeals and wags her tail when we drive into the parking area! I recommend this clinic highly.

I kind of inherited an older Samoyed from a family member who no longer gave it quality of life care. I never took my dog anywhere else so i can't compare price, and it was walking distance. All i can say is that when my dog was diagnosed with an infection of the Uterus she gave her Penasilin, and instructed me to wash her with a solution 3 times a day for a week. When i took her back for blood work she called me up first thing next day and told me she will die in a week without an operation. she could not do it on such quick notice so she made me an appointmen with the 24h emergency animal hospital at Young and Bloor and sent all her files. she got her operation ( money up front ). Dr. Succar saw her 3 times after her release for free, including staple removal. That operation and car gave me 2 more years with her before i put her down due to age. I was gratefull for that care.

I would not recommend this place to any pet owner. The vet is more focused on money than the well being of your pet. Not only will they push you to get such and such done, but they also decide for you what you will buy at the end of the day. My cat was recommended the dental diet for some plaque and I told the vet that I might try it. At the front desk, she said throw in a small bag of food. My assumption of it being a sample was wrong. When I looked behind me, the food was sitting on my cat carrier and they were about to give me the bill. Utterly rude and snooty. Never ever going there again.
