Click to report rating    9/17/13   1     2     1     1   I had an appt. and there were 7 clients waiting when I walked in. 75 minutes later we were seen. Dr. Armstrong came in with a tech and both left with my cat. The tech is the only one who came back to give me results. The Dr. never even touched or examined him. This was my 2nd experience with the same results. NEVER AGAIN! RID: 47009
Click to report rating    3/8/13   2     3     4     4   Although I would not use this vet for my birds or exotic pets,he was the only vet within a one hour radius that seemed to care when one of my very large dogs had an accident and I needed him put down on the spot, unable to transport the dog to a veterinary facility. Although the staff was less than helpful, when i finally got put through and talked to the vet he showed an honest care for the wellbeing of my beloved dog when nobody else could br bothered. I can not attest to his knowledge of complicated veterinary care, but as a compassionate human being he get a 5:) RID: 40931

Click to report rating    10/16/09   5     5     5     5   I once worked at Best Vet and I have to say Dr. Armstrong really cares for all the pets. He reduces his prices to make quality veterinary medicine affordable to all, and he isn't in the business for the money at all. He has done so many wonderful things for so many people and their pets. In selecting staff members, the number one vuture he looks for are people who truly love pets too. He is great at his work and has saved many, many pets lives. It was a pleasure working with such an honest and caring man. RID: 14795
Click to report rating    8/12/09   3     4     3     5   this vet claims to treat all animals. he knows nothing about birds.. I went to him with a sick bird and left with a sick bird. The vet did not do any blood work or anything. said the bird was fine. I took my bird to a different doc who handles only birds and found out through blood work that my bird was very sick with a mega bacterial infection. It is taking a long time for him to recover because he went untreated. lets hope my bird survives. this vet is fine with dogs but should not claim to know birds.. RID: 13821
Click to report rating    5/18/09   1     4     3     3   I called around in the area to compare "office visit" or "general exam visit" fees and Best Vet is pretty good in comparison. However, that makes you wonder if you get what you pay for...or not even. I paid this fee and my pet was looked at for literally less than one minute for the particular issue I brought him in for. I expected him to at least also get the general look-over for $25. Additionally, the front desk girls have no greeting skills whatsoever. They look at you like, what do you want...perhaps they just don't like those who come in as walk-ins. Even the person who walked in right before me gave me that look like, can you believe them? I do sense that the vet himself genuinely cares about animals, but unfortunatley, these negative points brings the whole business down, in my opinion. I will not steer anyone from going there...I think people should see for themselves; however, I would go with caution, keeping these things in mind. RID: 12849
Click to report rating    4/12/09   1     1     1     1   The vet gives your pet NO personal attention! Walk into the waiting room and you will see tons of people waiting to see one vet. They overbook to be able to make more money. In doing that each animal suffers from not recieving a full exam. I have heard tons of stories of the negative things that occur there. Your pet is only money to them, go somewhere that will love them for being an animal/family member! RID: 12409
