I chose this vet because (although it is very pricey) I thought they seemed experienced and professional. So I took my dog here to be spayed. The procedure went alright, but a few months after the operation my dog began having strange symptoms. Her mammary glands were collecting fluid and she was bleeding vaginally a bit, almost like she was in heat. After numerous visits to this vet and hearing over and over that they didn't know what was wrong with her, I finally took her to another vet. After paying almost $1000 for x-rays and an ultrasound, the new vet found out that her operation had been botched. The vet at Mt. Airy Animal Hospital had left a small piece of her ovary inside her, which was causing all her symptoms. I would never take my dog to Mt. Airy Animal Hospital again. They are incapable of performing a simple surgery correctly. And they seemed more concerned with covering up their mistake than with taking care of my dog.
