They gave my cat tapeworms on purpose via a treat just to make me come back and spend more money. They were crawling out of my cat's butt and all over my house! Disgusting! Never again! And they do make you spend tons of money on useless tests. Avoid!

We felt that every time we booked an appointment for our pet, the clinic charged us $400. We left and have gone to another clinic in town where the staff are just as pleasant, but the fees are not through the roof.

I gave Lexington Road A.H. a try because they were readers choice winners in the waterloo chronicle. They are a breath of fresh air. It is bright, clean and modern (they gave me and my son a tour!). You can tell the staff love their job. They welcomed me with a smile and my dog with a liver treat! Even though I was worried about Benson (he was limping), Dr. Ude was gentle with him and took his time with me. He explained his recommendations and listened to my concerns. He didn't make me feel pressured or guilty (like my previous vet - grrr). I have already recommended this clinic to my parents and my friends.

I recently moved to this community and was referred to Lexington Animal Hospital as being the best, and can only confirm. The thoroughness of Dr Thomas' consultation was like none I have experienced before. The facility is super modern, clean with state of the art technology. I wish human hospitals were like this! The staff kind, attentive and great with follow-up. It is worth the money you pay for this level of animal care.

The staff here are super nice, always friendly and my pets absolutely love coming in for their visits! They really take the time to explain their recommendations without me feeling silly, or like a "bad" pet owner for asking. They were very helpful with our puppy, always having a nice tip or trick to try training wise, and they helped my bunny when he hurt his eye! They aren't the cheapest clinic in the area, but the extra money is well spent, especially if it gets the best care for my fur babies :)

If you have a lot of cash..this is the place for you..otherwise..steer clear. Their prices are thru the roof! I found a loving, caring vet for literally half the cost.

The level of patient care at this hospital is unprecedented. I see a lot of comments from other people about unnecessary tests being recommended etc. This means they are good doctors and they are being thorough! I would not want a doctor that didn't provide me with all my options and cover all the bases. They are not recommending tests to make money - they are doing it because they think it's the best care for your pet. Every doctor I have seen has been amazing and the support staff are kind and caring. They have really great follow up and always call me to check in on how my pets are doing. My It's the best hospital I have ever taken my pets to.

I took my cat of 4 years in because she had a cold. They absolutely insisted on giving her a complete examination, shots, and unnecessary blood work. (lo and behold my cat did not have leukemia - big surprise) They also informed me that I would be starting an oral care routine right away.
The prescription cleared up her cold, and the bill cleared out my wallet. They were good with her though and she was rewarded with treats from the vet.
After my visit to lexington road animal hospital suddenly my cat had extremely bad breath, really strong really bad breath. 2 weeks later, there were bits of disgusting tapeworm crawling out of my cats backside and all over my house.
We all know vets milk as much cash out of you as they can. They're really underhanded and sneaky about it here. AVOID!

This hospital helped my friend's dog and boarded it for 2 weeks pro bono when she had to flee an abusive home. They vaccinated & bathed this dog. The walks and loving care that he received were wonderful. He was wagging his tail and very relaxed when we got him back home, thank you so much.

We have used this facility since 1985 and think that the staff and facilities are great. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Hardy have provided our pets with loving care and grieved with us when the animals' lives ended. Some things in life are not strictly a financial transaction, I would much prefer spending a few extra dollars to ensure that my pets get great quality, loving care from vets that really care for animals than make care decisions based on money. If I had attended veterinary school and practiced for twenty years I would hope that I'd be able to provide good advice like Drs. Thomas & Hardy. If one's opinion of a clinic is based on tests they recommend and what they charge for these tests I would not put much value on that review unless you have a DVM or MD degree!

These guys will always find a way to make you spend more dollars on tests..They tried to goad me into more tests for my cat and I stood firm and asked for an antibiotic...this cured the problem without spending hundreds more..also my cat is hyperthyroid and requires tapazol for the rest of his life...His meds ran out and they will not give me a new prescription unless I drop another 375 dollars for unneeded tests...My cat is 18 years old..I am with him every day...I know these test are not needed...I just wanted the meds...they then offered me a 75.00 blood test...and maybe they'd write the prescription..I know for a fact this place is charging double the price for meds and the food they sell..I suggest you stay away from these crooks.

Dr Thomas and the staff are wonderful. They truly care about the animals. They're willing to listen to try to get to the bottom of a problem. The facility is great. They have a lot of equiptment on site so they don't need to send you elsewhere for tests.
