Emergencies will happen with your pet. When you have one all clinics are full and they will all reject you. Some clinic will squeeze you in if you are their own patient. This clinic never have time for your emergencies. Keep that in mind. Otherwise they are good but get ready to search help on GOOGLE on your own. Their management have no interest helping their own customers with these problems. If you call and ask for help they say we can not make you happy please find yourself an other clinic. Because there are many customers out there for them. They don;'t care about you.

The doctors and staff at this clinic are all very caring and knowledgable. When we go in for vaccinations, we get much more than the typical explanation of what they're for and they're up to date on all the current science. If you're there with your pet in crisis all staff direct their attention to you, your animal and the problem at hand and if you have to put your animal down, they are very compassionate. They aren't the cheapest clinic (nor do I think there the most expensive) but I would never go anywhere else (and I speak as someone who does not have a lot of disposable income). They thoroughly explain any treatments they feel are necessary and leave the decision to you so there is no pressure put on you and you won't be judged. I 100% recommend Dr Birch, Dr Donovan and the other doctors and staff.

I have been going to Dr. Birch and Dr. Donevan for over 20 years and they have looked after all 6 of my fur babies going above and beyond. They are honest and caring in their diagnosis of any problems. You are never forced to make a decision. They give you the information and it is left to you to make a decision. Not only do they look after my kitties they make sure I am ok too. I love them and their dedicated, friendly, caring and responsible staff and will continue with them as long as I have a fur baby (kitty) in my life. Cathy (Whitby)

We've only been with this clinic for 3 years but they have been fantastic to work with. Dr. Birch and Dr. Donovan are extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate. Every time we've taken our pets in for a problem, they've personally made follow-up calls a few days later just to make sure the medicine's working and that everything is ok. I like that they give us the options, education and their professional opinions but don't hard sell you on unnecessary expensive tests or treatments - in fact, a few times, they've told us we can do X test but given X reason, it's probably not worth doing.

I would recommend this clinic to everyone. We were client for many years and moved away. We started to go to a clinic closer to our home. After many visits at the other clinic we were not happy so we went back to the Highway 2 Vet. Nothing but the best service there! We recently had both of our dogs very sick and thought we might have to put one of them down. They showed compassion and concern. They gave regular follow up calls to check on them. Happy to say with all their care and time we have both of our dogs home and are healthy.

I came to this clinic on the evening of the floods in Toronto, I was out of my cats special diet and rushed there from the city making it there 45 min after they were closed. When I looked in the window I saw a lady cleaning so took my chances and knocked on the door. This woman was clearly very pregnant and probably wanting to get home but she let me in anyways. Because of the storm her debit/credit machine was down so she let me take the food and wrote down my visa number, she was there early the next morning and called me before processing my order. At the time I didn't even bring my animals to this clinic so she didn't have to give me this food, not to mention they were long closed! I have since taken my cat there because of the courtesy of the all girls at the front desk and it turns out Dr. Thompson is fantastic too! I definitely recommend this clinic!

I was at the vets with my cat last night. In walked a family who was there to put down their dog. Due to the sensitivity of this subject-the staff asked if it would be alright if we delay my appointment while the Dr. helped this family. The staff showed such compassion for taking the initiative to try and accommodate this familys loss. They also showed me courtesy by giving me the choice instead of just leaving me sit there beyond my scheduled appointment. I have been going there since 1997 and have had to put 4 animals down in their care. While stuggling with the decision - the dr could have taken me to the cleaners with high vet bills by convincing me to do exploratory surgery/meds - but you know what..they didn't - they thought what was was best for the animal and not their pocket books. They are expensive - but worth every penny !!! Thanks Dr. Donovan & staff

Have been taking my pets to this clinic for years. They are on the more expensive side but after trying out a different clinic in the area I realized that you definitely get what you pay for. Would never take my animals anywhere else(ever again!). All the staff at this clinic are wonderfull.

I concur with the previous clients who say these are great vets. I've been going to them for years also (with 2 dogs, 4 cats, and a rabbit) since 2001. I have dealt with all of the vets who work there at one time or another. If a person came in late when the vet was in late to euthanize another client's pet, the person should have gone to the emergency clinic when told to, no question. This was a very difficult time for some other client and their pet. I've had my aging pets euthanized there and I can tell you that these people are consummate professionals and they don't take an event like this lightly! I can't understand why someone with a sick pet would not be able to fathom the idea that a vet isn't available at a time like that! Someday you too may have to deal with this issue. I can only hope you have such a good vet as all of these partners are!

I love this clinic - I've been taking my cats for years and they provide only the best care for my animals. The person who wrote the comment below is just plain stupid. They were euthanizing another animal, what the hell did you want the vet to do, drop everything for your dog? The other clients were there first....Dr. Donovan and Dr. Birch are the best vets around. I wouldn't switch clinics for anything :)

This clinic is amazing! As for the comment below, the fact that the Vet was there tending to another animal after-hours just shows that they do care about the well-being of their clients. The emergency clinic was built for a reason, the vet that night could only do so much so probably felt it was best for your dog to be seen at a properly equiped facilty. I have taken my animals to this clinic for years and have nothing but good things to say about all of the staff at this clinic!

I had the worst experience of my life with this vet. We thought that our dog had been poisoned and we had taken her to this vet clinic since she was a pup. We didn't know what to do so my dad picked her up and carried her to the car and rushed her over to our vet in hopes someone was there before travelling across town to the Emerg clinic. Upon arriving there the door was locked but my dad could see someone so he knocked. The recep. came and my dad explained the sit. She went and asked the vet to see her and he said no take her to the emerg clinic we are closed. My dad was furious but saving my dogs life was more important so we rushed her there. Luckily she was fine. The worst thing was that the vet himself (from hwy 2) called the next day to make sure my dog was okay. He tried to explain himself when my mom told him he was lucky nothing happened cause we would sue him. His excuse was he was putting another animal to sleep. THIS CLINIC IS HORRIBLE
