I brought my cat here as an emergency when he had a urinary blockage. The people here were very empathetic, understood I didn't have much money, and even lowered and dismissed some of the costs to make it more affordable for me even after my cat had to spend the night there. In the end, I spent a total of $800 for an exam, catheter insertion/ removal, blood work, medication, and spending a night or two there. This isn't a high-end clinic, but the staff are definitely empathetic and understand even people who are struggling financially love their pets.

This little man squeezed my cat multiple times til at last my old cat peed blood. All this was done after i said i just want him to get antibiotics. He said 'you don't want xrays, bloodwork, and urine tests done? ' to which i replied,'no, just anti biotics' as he picks my cat up again and squeezes his bladder. Just then i hear a ripping-of-tissues sound as my cat SCREAMS aloud. He then brings in a paper for me to sign stating that i specifically denied the bloodwork, xrays and urine tests. My cat died last year because his bladder crystalized and i was in able to express his pee. The issue i brought him in for was an injury to the base of his tail. This so called doctor should be sued through the pooher! But I'm not $ hungry like him. And karma will unleash devistation on all that he holds near and dear! GoodLuck in life sorry soul. May my cat have the last laugh! Rest in peace lil buddy... i miss you more than words can express!

I'm rating this clinic based on a few experiences as 1 visit is insufficient. Last year when I had to have our elderly dog euthanized they came to our house to do it. They were very gentle with our boy and made a difficult situation bearable. A few months ago our Airedale was coughing and we brought her in. She was prescribed antibiotics and the vet actually called us to see how she was doing. She was still coughing but he recommended we wait until her antibiotics were done before returning. Coughing stopped a few days later. I've had to bring my puppy ( the vacuum cleaner) in twice in the past month for ingestion of foreign objects. She had an xray and IV and spent the day with them. They again called a few times to see how she was doing and to offer suggestions. Great customer service ! They will not pressure you to run tests and unlike a lot of vets it's clearly not all about the money. Check up was $29, xray $110. At another close vet the check up is $61, xray $150. Huge diff!

I found this vet because of the flyer he leaves every month with dog park reviews and other information in it and offering a free pet exam. I went in to get my dogs hotspots checked out and usually my vet would sell me creams and pills which would total over $200. Dr. Dhanjal sold me a cone and some spray which worked amazingly for around $75. I was shocked. I will be going back for sure

I have taken my Shih tzu who is 5 years old to Delta animal clinic for a few years. They used to be not bad but recently have new owners and they are the heartless Vets I have ever been too. I took her there a couple days ago and recently she has hated going there so scared. When I took her in vomiting and very sick he didn't even check her except putting a thermometer up her rear and to that picked her up by her tail. He had absolutely no respect for my poor puppy. Then he proceeded to wipe the thermometer off with a Kleenex and stuck it back to be used on the next animal. Then he told me he wanted to keep her overnight do blood work and xrays and even though I only had $250.00 and wanted to work out payments he wouldn't even consider it. I have been a customer there for years and always have paid my bills on time and he actually watched me walk out in tears with my sick dog in my arms with no vehicle and not a clue where to go. My dog is missing a fang probably from there abuse.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Took my kitten here for her first check up. Vet gave her a normal rectal thermometer, however after he did not sterilize the thermometer. He simply wiped it off with a paper towel and put it back in the container to await the next animal... Makes you wonder what other unsanitary practices they use...If you care about your pet DON'T GO HERE!!!

We found this clinic last November and we are happy to have taken our cat here because Dr. Narinder is kind and reasonable. The entire clinic is clean and we appreciate the professional manner that our cat is treated.

I once raved about Dr Bath but something changed last summer. Not sure if it was burnout but had a dog get his nails clipped - one bled and he went home with only half his nails done-though I paid the full pop. He seemed somehow upset that I brought my dogs for nail trims and grooming - like it was demeaning. Last time I was there in the fall took 2 cats in for bloodwork for a skin condition - never heard back and when I called was told they were fine - well NOT. Now I have to wonder if the bloodwork was actually done? Am looking for a "trustworthy" vet - don't mind paying extra for quality care

My Alley gets sick once a year and Dr.Bath always saves her, I dont care what anyone says, hes been there at 3am when i need him and always helped my dog. Nothing but praise for this man. he keeps my best friend healthy

The vet was 30 minutes late for our appointment... and it only got worse from there. This was a few years ago, and their kid was running around with no clothes on, only a dirty smelly sagging diaper. The place smelled bad, not sure if it was from their kid, or just the place in general. The vet has very poor manners and doesn't treat animals with respect. I'd never go back... not even if it was for free... Just like another review, we also paid for extra's that were not received.

I recommend Delta Animal Hospital to everyone who is looking for a dynamic team that will help your pet any way they can. Their prices and wide range of services are the best in town! I took my cats to get spayed, when i called i was told $45 i spent close to $200 for cones and pain meds. A few days later their incision opened. He had put dissolving stitches inside and glued the outside. I spent another 150 for re-stitching and a drainage tube about 3 inches from the actual incision and for more anitbiotics which he forgot to give to me even though i paid for them, i had to call him to get them. The counters were filthy and the whole place smelled awful. The worst part of it is that his wife would try and look at my cats herself when she had no experience at all. once she asked me to give her $$ for just quickly scanning the incision because i was feeling unsure and thought it may be infected. It took 2 seconds of his time and she wanted $$. They appear nice/caring but once you have doubts and question the price and whether its neccesary the wife gets rude. I dont know why i ever went back after the first visit but they are $$ driven, careless and unproffesional.

Made an appointment for a routine neuter , Dr Bath shows up 1hour late. The cost was so ridiculously over priced. Since we were already there we went ahead with the procedure, DO NOT GO HERE....Dirty ,overpriced and unprofessional .Dr Bath should be ashamed of himself. Never again.

I LIKE DELTA ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND STAFF.MY DOG WAS VERY SICK,MY FRIEND RECOMMENDED ME TO GO TO DELTA ANIMAL HOSPITAL.I RUSHED TO DELTA ANIMAL HOSPITAL DR BATH SAW MY DOG RIGHT WAY AND ADMITTED.THE CARE MY DOG RECEIVED WAS AWESOME,AFTER THREE DAYS OF TREATMENT HE LOOKS LIKE A HAPPY HEALTHY DOG I WILL ALWAYSRECOMMEND MY FRIENDS TO DELTA ANIMAL HOSPITAL

I LOVE THESE GUYS. I took 2 of my cat's to Dr Bath, and they took good care of my baby's. I would recommend this Vet to anyone who loves their animals. They'll take excellent care of all your animals. So I deffinatly recomend this vet to everyone

I would recommend this place to everyone. I was told by another vet that my dog had an abnormalilty in the testicles and the price quoted for the neutering was big enough to buy a good mountain bike. Thankfully my mother gave me a flyer and I contacted Dr Bath. I explained the situation to the doc and the price he quoted was almost one third. My dog is healthy and vets like these make pet ownership for hard working people like me easy. I am moving to Nanaimo soon, but I will try to bring Bruno to this vet, if needed, when I visit my mom.

I made the biggest mistake going to this vet! I called to ask how much dental cleaning was and Mr bath said it was around $200. I told him that i was going to phone around and look at prices cause there was another hospital doing it for $150 with the coupons i had. Mr Bath said he would do it for $110. Of course i said ok. My was sedated at 3pm that day and i was asked to pick him up at 5pm. When i went to see my dog, he could barely walk or stand straight. I knew he had to stay for atleast 3-4 hours after th procedure but the vet wanted to close up and go home!!! I ended up paying $197 instead tof he $110 They clearly like money more then they like animals. I feel so stupid for taking my dog to a filthy place like this!! his wife is always trying to sell her husband. She do such a bad job at it. She does not even have any education towards this business. She does not know what shes talking about half of the time. Stay away from these place

Agree entirely with below poster, although he may be "tied" as being the worst vet with Surrey Animal Hospital's! Both are a shame and disgrace to the profession in animal welfare. Don't know about "picking up poo with bare hands", but the whole place REEKS and obvious contamination with hyperactive children playing, running everywhere. Instead of improving and advancing, appears standards for animal health care lowered tremendously, if at all existing with Delta Animal Hospital. Bewildered how these presumed animal doctors are permitted to operate under such filthy conditions and question their credentials. Mistakenly took my pets to both Surrey Animal Hosp. and here, don't know which is worse. Both are equally unclean and vets were $hungry, my pets (cats and dogs) left traumatized and untreated. Ended up taking them to a normal, decent vet further away. Both S.A.H.and Delta refuse to send paid files,Xrays to them too. Conveniently "lost".Were they even done(bloodwork,tests,etc.)?

I have to agree...being an aimal lover for many years and my sister being a vet tec, I would have to say that this place is unprofessional and dirty. I was not impressed when I had to clean my own exam room with a dirty old wet cloth. This is what I was handed when I asked for something to wipe down the exam table as it was obvious that it was not cleaned after the previous exam. Also the exam table had some kind of rubbermaid mat on it that was filled with hair and grunge....aweful! I could feel the diseases all around me. Can't even imagin a surgery performed in this envoirment. I do not like the idea that the wife is his tec and has not had training other than what he has taught her. Scary place!

i took a kitten there for a vaccination as it was cheap. i got bad feelings from the place so i tested the vet. i asked him if my kitten was male or female. he said he would have to take the kitten to another room as the room we were in was too dark to see. he returned with the kitten and told me the kitten was female. i said are you sure its female. he said yes. i then said why don't you place your finger on the balls of the kitten. he said ya its male. unbelievable. this is a true story. i cannot believe he is a vet

Puzzled how he could qualify as a vet. My cat returned home worse than when he went in! Had to request receipt, not detailed to explain anything that was done. Disorganized, uncleanly run. Child running around everywhere.

This vet claims spaying is "on sale" for $85, but once you complete the registration he informs you of all the critical extras not included, that will nickle and dime you until you potentially pay more that the average vet for the same service. I paid for pain treatment that should have lasted 24 hours, but after speaking to another vet about the serious discomfort my dog is in immediately after surgery with no relief, it is likely that he did not administer the pain meds as paid for, and probably not the intravenous antibiotics either although we also paid extra for those. This vets ethics,billing and techniques are questionable, and he did seem more concerned about money than post op care instructions etc. I felt I was negotiating a taxi ride rather that purchasing professional vetrinary services.

I took my cat there after he got into a fight with a wild animal. He required stitches. By the end of it all it cost me close to $300. They didn't seem to care about him once he had the stitches in. They didn't tell me when to bring him back for a check up (nor did they call). And they weren't clear on what I was supposed to do for his care. I ended up taking him to another vet and they told me my cat could've gotten rabies and should've been quarantined for 10 days. I will never go back there again. They only seemed to care about the money.

I would never take any animal here ever again, We took our toy poodle here, because he wasn't eating or drinking, and he threw up once. we took him here, and the vet said that our puppy needed to stay over night, have blood work done, and an intervenus put in, and this was going to cost us 400 dollars. we told him that we would not have that much money for a couple of days, and that we would take our dog home, and see if we can borrow money(insttead if leaving him there for 4 days in distress from being away from home.) He then backpeddled and aske how much we did have, we told him a hundred. and he told us that he will give our dog medication that will help him, so i said i wanted a second opinion and that we are just taking the dog home, he then told us that force feeding, and using a saringe for water will work fine, none the less, he was back to normal by the time we got home. but HE WANTED TO GIVE MY DOG MEDS WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HIM. HE COULD HAVE KILLED HIM

I have a feeling the same person has done the last 2 reviews. We have been seeing Dr. Bath since he opened, and have nothing but praise for him. Our pets are well taken care of - he shows genuine affection for them. To the point that I also take my 3 dogs there for their nails to be cut, and our Lhaso?shitzu cross for grooming. He is our vet and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This vet is horrible!!! They did an unnecessary surgery on my kitten. All they care about is charging people an arm and a leg. Not only that but the stitches they put in were atrocious! They didn't even clean up the area; there was blood and hair stuck in the stitches, it was horrible, I would never take my animal there again!

This vet is awful! They only care about the money and they give very poor service. They do unnecesary treatments and charge way too much for them! Also they are awful with the animals. My dog after spending a night with them wont go anywhere near east indian men now, a problem that he never had before as NO ONE in my family is **** at all! The vet also asked his secretary in punjabi (a language my boyfriend knows) if they had got the $300 deposit from me and she replied no I got $400!!! NEVER BRING YOUR PETS HERE!
