I took my parrot in to see Markus Luckwaldt. WORST VET EVER! 1) Freezing cold clinic 2) waited 1/2 3) moves to two different rooms 4) dirty towel used to handle my bird 5) dirty container used to put bird in to be weighed 6) did not perform complete exam 7) was so rushy! 8) didn’t allow me to ask questions 9) RUDE 10) they didn’t ask me if I knew how to administer the meds 11) didn’t show me how to handle the bird to administer meds 12) The whole exam took less than 15 mins but I was waiting around for over an hour. 13) I emailed, texted and left vm messages regarding my concern about the side effects the meds were having and regarding the fact that I was having a tough time giving meds...NO ONE RESPONDED! I had to call again to get someone live. 14) Follow up appt was booked only to find out the “avian vet Luckwaldt” had the day off. I cancelled. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

I was a little concerned because the reviews here seemed either amazing or awful, but I also figure that's because we're talking about our fur/ feather babies, so people are understandably pretty emotional.
Went for the first time today. The staff were friendly and caring. Dr. Luckwaldt knew exactly what the problem was, didn't do a bunch of invasive, stressful and potentially costly procedures before first trying a medication to fix the problem. I was taught how to help my little feathered friend keep clean until she is feeling better, and how to give her the medication she was prescribed. Had a hundred questions for Dr. Luckwaldt and he took his time to answer and explain the pros and cons of everything.
Told a friend of mine who also has a parrot how much I was charged and she said that was a great price (I don't have anything to compare it to personally).

Dr. Munn is nice, he did surgery on my rabbit to remove an infection. He did not recommend any xrays/ct scan. Since he was the best rabbit vet in the GTA I trusted him.few months later my rabbit was unbalanced. Dr started working only Wed-Fridays. I travel 1 hour or more by commuting just to see him.Gave meds only did not want to do any tests even if i asked,I was willing to pay anything! As the holidays were near and my bun would get better then symptoms would slightly show up again. He said not to worry and contd meds, even on my 3 rechecks no change in treatment. finally booked some tests and possible surgery after the new year, but My bun got worse, nonstop rolling. I am angry he did not suggest CT scans WAY earlier when my rabbit WAS NOT ROLLING AT ALL for one month! They only sugg it when he was! then they tell me we would have to wait til he stopped! DrMunn was in clinic but i saw their other vet. the surgery made this happen. They told me to him PTS! Staff was uncaring as well.

We first came to greenwood less than a month ago with a very sick little 5 lb Yorkie who had some big blatter stones which needed to be removed. I was previously told by another vet 'there is nothing we could do for her and surgery is not recommended', so basically she would have died. My friend suggested the greenwood staff as she brings all her pets there and claimed 'they saved many of my pets lives many times'... So there we were. I was blown away to be honest from start to finish of the leve of care and communication I've received from both Dr McIninch and Dr Munn and each of their team, truly blown away. At no time did I feel they offered me anything she didn't absolutely need and they completed her much needed surgery and after care beyond my highest expectations. They have won our loyality and business. If you are looking for a great vet clinic, well priced and with caring staff - check them out for yourself! Maya D & her grateful Mommy

We highly recommend Dr. Sam Munn and the staff @ Greenwood Park Animal Hospital, they are the best! They are obviously all animal lovers. We loved the environment, and their reasonable and caring approach. We had taken our cat first to another vet because she had a slight sneeze and had gone somewhat off food/water/litter for a couple of days. They diagnosed a heart murmur, fluid wave in her stomach, severe distention, and estimated over $1,500 to determine what potentially serious issue she may have, bloodwork, xrays,cytology-fluid aspirate,IV.The next day we took her for a second opinion to Dr. Sam Munn @ Greenwood Park Animal Hospital. He gave her the same examination, healthy heart (no murmur) and lungs, healthy cat.Just gave us the option to do some geriatric bloodwork (not necessary, but our choice) to see if there was anything brewing that we should be aware of as she ages.We proceeded with the bloodwork, and the total bill including the examination was $265.Reasonable approach to next steps.

I brought my 8 year old male rabbit (mr.bunny) in to Dr.Munn for a checkup a few months back, and I could not have been more pleased with his gentle, attentive and friendly demeanor. He was very informative and treated my rabbit in the best possible way. I had never brought my rabbit to the vets before and was expecting him to chastise me for that, but he reassured me I was taking fantastic care of Mr.Bunny and that he was the healthiest male rabbit he had ever examined. I was also impressed that he told me neutering him was unnecessary at his old age rather than try to push it on me. I have since come into the care of a previously homeless female lionhead bunny who I will be sure to bring to Dr.Munn to be spayed when she reaches sexual maturity.

I brought my dog here to be neutered and have vaccinations and other work done. The vets did a very good job on any surgery that needed to be done. The prices which were only a secondary concern since the veterinary work was so good, did seem a bit high. However, I asked one of the desk staff to recommend groomers and she tried to scare me by saying the groomers would be doing veterinary procedures on my dog and only recommended one groomer who also worked at a veterinary clinic. Since I don't like being patronized or being frightened when I go to a vet, I decided to go elsewhere.

So I saw Dr. Luckwaldt for my rabbit and it was not a good experience. First, I was scheduled to see Dr. Luckwaldt when I was expecting to see Dr. Munn. Second, I waited for 40 min before I saw the vet. Third, he broke my rabbit's nail while picking her up. Fourth, he was not very thorough with the physical assessment (I don't think he assessed my rabbit's teeth). Fifth, he recommended me to spay my 7 year old bunny when Dr. Munn at a previous visit said it was not a good idea. All in all, I got what needed to be done but I strongly discourage other rabbit owners to be treated by Dr. Luckwaldt.

I recently visited this clinic with my very I'll dog. The first time I visited they took a bunch of tests. After a$300+ bill I had to return the next week with an even more sick dog and an even bigger bill and a quote for surgery of $3500. Knowing already that finances were tight I was given an option to do surgery or take my do to the humane society. With the humane society they will do the surgery but you have to sign over your animal and get no chance of readoption or adoption of any animal for 7 years. After being told this already heartbreaking news they then sat me in a room and made me feel like the worst human being ever because I didnt have the money to do the surgery. After telling them for about the 5th time I could not afford it I was finally allowed to leave the clinic. But not without getting nasty looks from their extremely rude secretary at the front desk among others. The next day I was determined to find another way to save my dog without having to give her away or go

I brought my sick mouse to see Dr. Munn after having a bad experience with another vet (who talked down to me and dismissed my concerns). The staff at Greenwood Park Animal Hospital were all extremely caring and attentive. They called several times after the appointment to see how she was doing and showed genuine concern for her well being. We are grateful to have had the support of Dr. Munn and his staff. This will definitely be our go-to animal clinic for any and all pets that we will have in the future, big or small.

Best guinea pig vet I have ever been to! When I came in with my guinea pig, I feared the worst, since I had been seeing another vet with no improvement. At the very least, I was expecting to pay for multiple tests to find out what was wrong. Dr. Munn was able to diagnose my pig with just an intake exam, and discouraged further testing because it would only stress her out. My guinea pig still was a bit lethargic after a week of medication, so I called into the clinic. Dr. Munn was away for the week, but his staff suggested increasing her meloxicam dose and seeing if there was improvement. Thankfully there was, and to my surprise his staff called a few days later to check up on my piggy. You can tell that Dr. Munn and the staff care for your pets, and will only suggest invasive tests when necessary. Although their prices are marginally higher than some exotic vets, when you factor in all the free advice and dose adjustments they will aid you with over the phone, they are the cheapest.A++

Great for hedgehogs! You're not pressured into expensive tests. And it seems like they really do care. As mentioned before dr. Munn is a male not a female. I have also seen the female vet (can't remember her name) and shse's great too!

I am beyond pleased with Dr. Munn and his staff! I have never received such great service before at a vet. I took my 2 year old bunny to get neutered and after the operation he seemed so normal. The vet assistants carefully explained how often and how much medicine I was to give my bunny after the operation and they actually called me to make sure he was doing ok. They're also very personable and interacted with my bunny a lot. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone that asked. I'm actually going to start bringing my puppy there!

I took my rabbit, Mori to see Dr. Munn after achieving no results from another vet (Animal Hospital of High Park). Mori is a pure bred netherland dwarf and is currently unspayed at 4 years of age. And before rabbit owners scream at me, calm down, I really did intend on spaying her when she was young but circumstances didn't allow for it. Anyway, Mori's problem was that she had MRSA and kept having these ridiculous sneezing fits. I took Mori to the High Park vet first and they treated her. After a week off her meds, she relapsed and was worse. When I took Mori back, the vets at High Park kept pressuring me to spay her despite that she still had MRSA. I gave up on High Park and took Mori to Dr. Munn to get a second opinion. Dr. Munn prescribed a 3 week medication schedule and told me to observe Mori for a week after. It's been two weeks since Mori's been off her meds. No more sneezing. No more dry nose. I am VERY happy with this vet and with Dr. Munn. Thank you for curing my bunny!

I took my dog to the clinic and was met with Dr. Julia Hammond. Although she seems to care about my dog, her bedside manners were insulting and rude at times. Most of the other staff are friendly, but there was one who was not that pleasant. Next time I'm going to specifically ask for Dr. Munn instead.

after expensive ongoing treatment of many months, our dog had to be euthanzied - charge was 200 #$ above the many other vets in the city. Greenwood does call owners post treatment, however, they refuse to listen and accommodate clients in ways that count. Sometimes there are surprises on the final bill and they refuse any refund for recent unused medications - they won't even take the medication back as a donation to other cash strapped owners. I am now doubting their sincerity - alot of pretense at caring perhaps. No attempt to keep their client relationships intact. - over confident also?

I have recently started using Dr. Munn's clinic and am very happy with the results. I have also read through some of the negative reviews here and it seems obvious they are not true. Dr. Munn is male, first of all. All staff members I have dealt with care very much about the animals, and have always been consistent. They have even taken the time to research food options for my animals. They are always helpful, even if they themselves do not know the answer, they will call me back when they find out. Definitely one of the best clinics I have ever dealt with as a pet owner.

I went to Greenwood based on all the positive reviews on this site and others, and I have to say I am very glad I made that choice even though it is almost an hour away. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Munn himself was excellent with my older bun. He is such a kind, caring individual and very knowledgeable when it comes to rabbits (he also has one of his own). I told him how my bunny very suddenly became off-balance and I suspected she might have worms. He checked her thoroughly and prescribed Panacur and pain-killing meds, and said to feel free to update him as often as I wish and that they'd call from time to time to check in on her. If she should get worse or show no progress after some time, I'll have to bring her back for full blood work and further testing. What I really appreciate about this approach is that he's not forcing a bunch tests on us all at once just for the sake of fast cash, which unfortunately a lot of vets do.

Dr. Munn and staff are great - compassionate, caring & personable. Facilities are clean, modern and bright. Dr. Munn provided the best care for my geriatric rabbit, and handled my pet with the utmost care & respect. When my bunn had to be euthanized, they took me in right away instead of waiting behind 4 other euthanasias, because they sensed my urgent need to end my late pet's suffering. I even got a condolence card from him when my bunn passed on. It was a very thoughtful gesture & it brought tears to my eyes, because Dr. Munn really cares about his clientele. It would be nice to have more rabbit-savvy vets on staff Also would be nice if the office can operate on full weekends though.

I am absolutely pleased to know that I have Dr.Munn and his staff to depend on whenever my pet gets ill. You can just tell that they genuinely care and love animals and it's not just for the money. You will always find yourself very welcomed in the clinic and it's very clean and organized. Everybody there is very personable and very very understanding. They always ensure that as an owner I feel 100% comfortable with whatever they are doing and they always ask me if I have further questions. They even do follow-up calls to make sure my pet is fine afterwards. When my bunny passed away, they sent me a card! I would have never expected anything but they took the extra step to show how much they care. No doubt, their service is worth every penny. Please keep up with the amazing job! I will always bring my pets to this clinic even though I live way uptown.

I've had nothing but great experiences here! Doctor Munn is gentle and loving with my rabbit, and really takes the time to make sure you understand what he's doing and what's going on with your rabbit. PS - I'd take some of the reviews on here with a grain of salt... a couple of the negative ones refer to Dr. Munn as a woman, and he is most definitely NOT a woman. Perhaps they're thinking of someone else? Anyway, I highly recommend Greenwood Park in general, and Dr. Munn in particular.

Note on my rating below on 3/13/11. Do remind Dr Munn to check your rabbit's molars and ask for your rabbit's**** be tested. The only proper way to do it, according to RabbitRescue, is with "otoscope of videoscope." On that checkup day (which was actually on 11 Mar 2011), Dr Munn only completed a visual inspection of my rabbit's teeth. (I don't believe it was intentional, but I do not know for sure.)

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Munn. He probably is the best vet for hedgehogs in Toronto. He is not only very experienced and knowledgeable about hedgehogs but also extremely compassionate and conscientious - no unnecessary tests are done here. The questions and concerns expressed by the human caregivers of his patients are always respected as well. I highly recommend Dr. Munn to anyone who has a pet hedgehog.

I was going to bring my new rabbit in to see Dr. Munn but she was all booked up. I said I had no problem seeing the other vet. That was a mistake. Although she was very nice, she told me my rabbit was a shemale. HAHAHA. I contacted the rabbit rescue and they said it was impossible. The contacted the vet that did the neuter and that vet assured with 110% confidence my bunny was all male. The rabbit rescue said that this was the second time this Dr. said that someones bunny from rabbit rescue is a hermaphrodite. The last bunny she said this about ended up just being a spayed female. HA!I heard great things about Dr. Munn so next time I go I'll have to ask to only see her, not the other vet.

I have to say that Greenwood is the best vet I have been to. They returned my call before they opened and had me and my pet in there 2 hours later. They then treated my pet rat immediately to accomodate my schedule, and they explained all his medications. They even did a follow up call to make sure everything was going well. I truly felt like they actual care about the animals and the relationship between owner and pet. They understand that no matter how small the animal the love is all the same size :) Thank you

I drive over an hour on a regular basis to see Dr. Munn. He is the best guinea pig and rat vet I've seen (and I've seen a few!) and has also been amazing with my senior cats. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and honest. Although the staff isn't always 100% efficient because of being so busy, their knowledge and compassion more than makes up. They are also very accomodating and try to work around my crazy schedule to provide the best care for my pets.

I have dealt with both Dr.Munn and Dr. Houghton.I found them both to be caring+compassionate. The clinic is well organized+very clean. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, even with a very challenging pet.I found their approach to be logical and reasonable, and I did not feel railroaded into paying for extra diagnostic procedures or tests.I felt that as a client I was respected and my concerns heard.I have also been impressed by the clinic's punctuality. Extra bonus points for being queer friendly. So far I have had the best experiences with them, in nearly 20 years of requiring veterinary care.I also found their fees extremely reasonable.

I was going to take my dogs to see Dr. Samantha Munn but she was, at first unwilling to give me a prescription for Sentinel (versus selling it to me), and then eventually agreed but said she would charge for $20 to take 10 seconds to write me one. By getting a prescription from Dr. Munn I could save $50 by buying the Sentinel at Broadview Pharmacy. Given that I have two dogs and was going to spend several hundred dollars for their annual exam and shots, I found this unacceptable. Instead I called Dr. Avery and there was no problem. Have heard great things about him so am looking forward to seeing him.
