Click to report rating    3/5/18   1     1     1     1   This place is horrendous. We took our cat there to be cremated (they send them to a crematorium) and they lost our cat. Caroline, a vet tech, said it was her fault. How do you make this mistake? We took our cat Bellatrix to be cremated on the 17th of February. We had an appointment scheduled for our cat Willow on March 5th and intended to pick the ashes up then. After waiting with Willow in the waiting room for over 45 minutes (which we were already upset about), we finally found out about the mistake. We quickly left after they offered to credit our next visit in lieu of her ashes. Don't take your pets here. I've told all of my family and friends about how awful they are and they won't be returning either. RID: 65705
Click to report rating    5/6/14   5     5     4     4   I've been a client of this office for many years. Dr. Steinbach is wonderful with my pets. He's patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. I'm especially particular when it comes to my dog. I don't think I could trust my fur baby with anyone else. I've only had one exceptionally long wait, and (knock on wood) I haven't had a single bad experience. Taking the cat is cheap and affordable. My dog is a giant breed, so anything I take him for is going to be a bit pricey no matter where I go. RID: 51450
Click to report rating    3/2/14   3     3     2     2   OK for immunizations and routine checkups. If your pet is ill, go somewhere else. My experience here is trial and error medicine. It's like taking your car to a bad mechanic, he keeps changing parts until he finally gets lucky and finds the problem by replacing the bad part. Diagnosis is not their strength. RID: 50256
Click to report rating    9/19/13   1     1     1     1   Our animals had been patients with Doc Evans for over 20 years, and he was excellent. Unfortunately for us, Doc Evans decided to retire and sold his practice to Dr. Kendrew. Things then deteriorated. Dr. Kendrew sends people to PVSEC whenever he cannot decipher a problem. This happened twice to us for a total of $10,000 in costs. By the time we decided we had had enough of him and his practice, our dog's file was over 100 pages long (including all the PVSEC records). When we had found a new vet, we requested our animals' records. We were told that we would be charged 33 cents for EACH page. We were not allowed to copy them ourselves, nor were we permitted to take the original files. When I questioned the legality of this practice, I was told that Dr. Kendrew had spoken with several lawyers and was assured that this was legal. Legal, perhaps. Ethical, no way. Doc Evans would NEVER have done such a thing. Sad commentary on what once was a great practice, now a for-profit only! RID: 47076
Click to report rating    8/13/13   1     1     1     1   WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I have been taking pets to Brady's Run Veterinary for about 8 years or so. The original reason I started going there was because I heard such great things about Doc Evans was and how reasonable the prices were. Well Doc Evans is not there (hasn't been for almost as long as I've been going there) and boy have things been going downhill. They have HORRIBLE customer service (and by they, I mean every person that works there). I'd say the only thing they care about is the money, not your animal or the fact that you want to help your pet and keep your pet healthy. They are like a bad mechanic, who will do the bare minimum knowing they'll make more money off you on repeat visits. They take advantage of people who care about their pets. The best thing they have ever done was send me to the Pittsburgh vet hospital on camphorn road. It's more money but they are much more helpful there. It is not worth it to go to bradys run vet, spend more and go somewhere more reputable. RID: 46267
Click to report rating    8/6/13   1     3     3     3   Dr. Kendrew had a poor bedside manner when it came time to make the decision to euthanize my sweet furry four legged boy. I was already beside myself with grief knowing it was the right thing to do and knowing that I would not see him again. He raised his voice and treated me horribly. I was a client for 22 years with this practice when Doc Evans was around. Dr. Kendrew could take some etiquette classes from him for future clients and their loved ones. RID: 46111

Click to report rating    5/26/13   1     2     3     1   I took our family dog to Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital to have a bowl obstruction removed and the vet who performed the surgery did not properly stitch the intestines back together. A few days later the intestinal sutures came undone and my dog was septic! The vet who performed the surgery (Dr. Kendrew) recommended euthanasia, but it was the vets at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center on Camp Horne Road who saved her life. A few days later I submitted a letter or complaint to Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital requesting a refund for the botched procedure and they promptly declined. This was an expensive learning curve for my family and I do NOT recommend you take your pet to Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital. RID: 42729
Click to report rating    3/31/11   4     4     4     5   Very thorough well-educated vets at this facility and the prices are the most affordable I've found in the area. RID: 23981
Click to report rating    3/8/11   1     2     2     3   After returning to talk to a vet to help my dog get his anal gland leakage problem fixed (several rounds of antibiotics that cost 90 bucks a bottle weren't working), I met a Dr. Kendrew who walked in and immediately appeared to dislike me. He simply lifted up my dog's tail and said his glands were not infected, as the prior Brady's Run Vet that had recently left diagnosed, but instead Sparkey was suffering a fecal matter blockage. He was rude and did not listen to a word I said while claiming I needed a "third opinion." After returning home and giving Sparkey a bath to help his bottom, I discovered that there was, in fact, no fecal matter back there whatsoever. After receiving such treatment, I do not recommend Brady's Run at all and suggest those interested in respectable veterinarians look elsewhere. I had been recommeded to go there due to a Dr. Evans, who no longer works there, and suggest you visit a practice that will treat you well. RID: 23400
Click to report rating    6/9/09   5     5     5     5   I COULD NOT have been more pleased! Excellent caring staff, showed kindness and interest in the well dog visit. Answered all my questions and took their time. HIGHLY RECOMENDED! RID: 13115
Click to report rating    5/20/09   5     4     4     5   Wonderful experience with many alternatives to surgery. They did, however offer to do the surgery. Very knowledgable, friendly Vet who took her time with my dog. They clearly explained the issue, treatment options and got me scheduled very quickly. RID: 12859
