The facility is impressive prices are a little high. Boarded our dog there for 10 days very expensive. We thought he would be comfortable there but received minimal attention. Had him groomed while being boarded, the groomer nicked him multiple times with the razor. She did a terrible job.My dog now needs his theet cleaned and I will not take him to Barnside.

Save your pet and do not go there. Wrong diagnosis on our dog and nothing to compensate for it. Dr Sherin just reciting a monologue over the phone, not listening at all. Very poor customer service on top of bad care. Stay away!

I boarded my dog here on the recommendation of a friend. Prior to boarding I was given a tour of the entire facility and it can best be summed up in one word, impressive! The place is immaculate and I was able to watch my dog on the web camera while I was away. I was so impressed by the entire facility that I have switched vets for the first time in 10 years. I will be using Barnside from now on and I recommend them to all of my friends.

Beautiful, clean and odor free facility. My previous vet had been treating my pet for the same chronic condition for some time with no results. Dr. Sharin was able to clear up the problem with just one visit. My pet is much more comfortable now and is not keeping me up all night. I wish I had come here sooner. The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and my pets condition was resolved. I will be back!

DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! Unless you want your wallet to be emptied upon walking in the door. My third visit was the worst, overpriced, lack of any real concern other than racking up the cost with frivolous tests. Luckily I realized I was being charged 35. more for the same medication they sold me a month earlier and refused their products. Do not get scammed, you pay for the cost of the building!!!

I have never felt the need to leave a review for anyplace but this one.. I gave threes to stay neutral. They are NOT my vet.. never will be!!!. They have a beautiful facility but do keep in mind that your $ is paying for it.. that's it... The short story. Had to board my pet there but we had an emergency and had to pull her out. They didn't take all of our money but gave us a credit for future boarding or veterinary care. We don't typically board.. so not an option, and we have the BEST vet in the area... why would we switch??? fast forward again, i have $90 credit and i want out of there.. so they finally got a groomer. This is where they showed their colors. I needed a bortadella shot (fine with that)...but the kicker is that they wanted the vet to look at her before we brought her in for grooming.. Are you kidding? So, that $60 for a bath, a $50 office visit maybe more? It was all about the money.. Out of space or i would write more..My vet loves his patients from the heart

The staff at barnside has always been great to us and our pup. When something has gone wrong in the past, everything was explained in detail with literature to go along with it for better understanding. Both doctors are nice. Dr. Drotos stitched my pups eyelid back and there are absolutely no visible scars. Great work! Price is very reasonable also!

This looks like such a clean, state of the art facility but my dog came down with kennel cough while boarding here. Dr Sharin then charged us for the medicine to treat her. When asked how she could have contracted kennel cough, we were told it can be in the hallways and can't be controlled. This was very callous My dog was very sick. No longer go here for vet or boarding

Dr,Sharin kill my cat, because she and her manager refuse to catheterize my cat because she wanted 1500 up front but gave him a shot which nock himout and he never recovered.she should not be a vet she is a greedy business person and a animal abuser for proft both me and my wife our devestated over our lost and want her license taken and the place should be shut down, how this person let our cat die because of greed is beyon words iwant to honor my cat by getting this place shut down so other people dont feel the pain she caused and the pain our cat felt at the end

Horrible. First of all they don't listen. My dog gained 4 pounds while there boarding over a 12 day stay, she weighed 26 and is at least 30 now. The staff while nice are not very smart. The Dr seems to not really like dogs, its my opinion, but although my dog has been going to her for 5 years, when I board her they don't check their records to see what is going on with her and its like they don't know her. How hard is it to check your own charts? They have had me come in when she didn't need too. I am not one to review badly, but they just keep on asking for it. Between the drs bad attitude, the staff not listening its hard to NOT complain..they have soooo lost my business.

This is an exceptional clinic. Staff is great and Dr Sharin is very caring. My dog was diagnosed with kidney disease. He made it another 2 years with her recommended treatment. When I finally had to euthanize my beloved dog, the staff and the dr were very compassionate. The clinic is a bit pricey but worth every penny. I now take my 2 new dogs there. I highly recommend this veterinary hospital. Yes, Dr Sharin is all business but she works very hard and makes sure all the staff are trained and up-to-date on all procedures. Very professional!

Excellent experience. The Doctor and staff really care about my dog. This is the cleanest vet hospital I have ever been to and it does not smell like most others do. I have been here multiple times with a chronically ill dog and I have been treated well each time. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Sharin since Aug. 2010. I find her caring of the animals. Staff is great, Place is clean. Kyle the receptionist is wonderful. Sandy the tech is great. My precious pet has been cared for better then expected and the prices are not bad (even for the surgery my pet had).

The first couple of visits, Dr.Sharin seemed somewhat cold, however every visit with my two dogs after that she displayed a caring attitude. Especially with my one dog who has some behavioral issues. The vet techs are nice. The facilities are clean. No complaints about boarding, I used the web cam each time as I was not certain how the dogs would be in a new situation. The only thing that would make Barnside even better is if they would consider a mixed treatment approach to include "alternative" therapies.

I have been very impressed with this vet every time I have been there. Much better than other places in the Freehold area. First, they seem to really know what they are doing and have diagnosed my dog's ailments with a minimum of tests and treatments. Recently my dog was diagnosed with diabetes. After a visit and some blood work, we were asked to come in on a Sunday to learn how to give insulin, and were not charged one penny for a one hour visit on a Sunday!

This has been the worst experience in 25 yrs owning dogs. My 2 dogs were boarded at Barnside Veterinary Hospital in Farmingdale, NJ and both came down with kennel cough. Both dogs had their boardatella shots and still contracted the disease. I had a future date booked for boarding that I wanted to cancel due to the above reasons. Michael Sharin would not return my deposit that was required to hold the future date. He offered me 50% of the deposit back but not the total amount even though I was canceling a month in advance of the scheduled date. Both my dogs are extremely ill and had to be brought to another emergency vet for treatment. Michael Sharin, the owner of the practice is a poor businessman, using poor judgment over returning a $95 deposit versus 2 sick dogs that contracted the kennel cough while under his care. Shame on you! Don't bring your pets here especially for boarding.

Dr Sharin and her husband do not care for the animals. The only thing they seemed to care about were the nice computers they have and how much they can charge everyone. Facility was nice but you can tell how they "earn" the profits. I went once and would never go back. Mike the "manager" was pompas and didnt have the pet's best interest in mind, just his bank account. Would NOT recmnd to anyone.

This is the worst vet I have ever brought my pet to!! All dr Sharin cared about was getting her money!! She didn't help my puppy with three visits and then charged us emergencies every time. After spending over $600 we were forced to bring my dog elsewhere. The "manager". Mike was rude and arrogant. they don't return phone calls and do not have appts to accomidate. I would not recommend this place to anyone else you want to throw away money and worsen your pets health! HORRIBLE!!!

The staff at Barnside are good at what they do. The technicians are helpful and worked well with my pet. One receptionist, Jen, is very rude, so try to avoid her. The facilities are well maintained, and spotless. However, good luck getting in to your appointment on time. Or if you are on time, you may sit in an exam room for 20-30 minutes sometimes waiting for the doctor. Dr. Sharin, the owner/vet, did a 5-10 minute exam and then we were stuck waiting again. The pricing is fairly average for the area, some things are a bit pricey, so can't complain too much there.

The staff is pleasant, courtious and helpful. Dr. Sharin takes her time explaining procedures and what can be expected. The facility is spotless with the latest in surgical equipment.
