We've been going to DWAH for nearly 10 years and we're very happy with it. Their team is caring, attentive and skilled at what they do. Highly recommend.

They killed a healthy dog named Jackson who was administered improper anaesthesia during a routine dental cleaning. They accept responsibility and have apparently changed procedures, but the damage is done in my eyes. This wasn't my dog, but could have been. I am changing vets. Check out the owners Yelp review. She is way too nice.

took my kitten in for vaccinations, they gave him a rabies vaccine, i was never informed of any adverse side effects, now my kitten wont eat or drink vomits and is lethargic, the office is closed for 3 days (animal "hospital"?) had i known these effects would occur and that some kittens may die, i would not have asked for a rabies vaccine on an indoor cat. Very angry because i got the impression that profit is the main reason this place exists..AVOID!

This clinic severely mishandled my cat in an attempt to draw blood. They demonstrated a complete lack of care, and ultimately, their sloppy work ended up costing me $760 at a vet elsewhere, because they severely bruised her arteries and she developed a 40.7 temperature and a serious infection as a result of so many poor attempts of drawing blood. When I contacted them to let them know of my experience, there was no empathy. Not one person apologized and in fact, they suggested she had a fatal disease and a poor platelate count as a way to defend the integrity of their business. This is not to be taken lightly. Following this insulting suggesting, Lucy's blood work came back and confirmed that she does not have a fatal disease and her platelate count is totally normal. What she acquired instead was a horrible infection from this clinic.

A year ago our dog tested positive for Lyme disease, with lab results ordered through this clinic by Scott Bainbridge at our insistence. At that time he told us he did not want to order the test as Lyme disease is non existent in Toronto. Test was a resounding positive and the side effects cleared up within 2 days of doxycycline treatment (and a further 30-45 days to take down antigen levels). There have been a couple subsequent flare ups since and each time I have had to fight tooth and nail to have the correct treatment prescribed. Today this vet refused treatment again suggesting the arthritis like joint pain was more likely a torn ACL than Lyme. When pressed as to why he refused to script for Lyme, we were told he did not believe our dog had Lyme as there were no cases of Lyme in Toronto (or Ontario for that matter) and he could become quite famous and write a paper on it if it were indeed the case. THIS IS WITH A POSITIVE LYME DISEASE TEST LAB RESULT IN HER FILE! Total quack

I have been bringing my dog to Dundas west for 3/4 years now. When my senior cat developed cancer, he received honest and empathetic care both as a patient and ultimately, in death. I did share the same concerns of the other poster about the flashy makeover when the practice was split - and for a time it did seem that prices and service-pushes went up - but everything is back to normal as of recently and they seem to have found their footing. The vets are good, but Dr. Folsea is the best vet I have ever met. He takes a calm, steady, non-reactive approach to veterinary medicine, his willingness to answer questions is above par and he possesses a PHENOMENAL 'bedside manor' with both my animals and with me (I can be a *little* neurotic when they are sick). I trust 100% that he has their best interest at heart. Bainbridge really should make him a partner!

CRF/CKD CAT. Nothing but great things to say. Once I made it clear to them money was an issue, everything was super transparent and considerate. As good a vet visit as possible.

Picked this vet since they have great hours (open til 8pm on weekdays, open Sat), easy to get an appointment, and near downtown (cat used to be in the suburbs). Nice website too (that's how I found them...google) Brought my cat there since he was newly-diagnosed with diabetes but previous vet was too far away to bring to frequent apptmts. Reception staff & vet assistant seemed professional and helpful. Dr. Folosea was thorough (good physical exam of the cat), informative, and pretty abreast of current vet literature on feline diabetes. Much more so than my cat's previous vet. Also, unlike previous vet, this vet didn't push unnecessary expensive tests, push $$$ prescription brand food (just mentioned it was an option...but not pushy), nor unnecessarily-frequent followup visits. I think this office demonstrated good rapport, knowledge, modern waiting room, and free street parking (as long as not during rush hour). As a physician (for humans though!), I plan to bring my cat back here.

Had a very good experience here with my furry ones - Dr.Folosea was patient and compassionate and was able to explain everything very well - will definitely be coming back.

WORST VETERINARY CLINIC IN HISTORY! Brought my cat in for a veterinary emergency, they recommended a week of boarding and care (during which the vet tech re-named my cat, not calling her by her given name). They kept sloppy logs, couldn't tell me what type of food they were giving her, and how much she was eating. Worst of all, they sent us home with her medicine that she had been receiving. Upon reviewing it at home, THE ANTI-BIOTICS THEY WERE GIVING HER WERE EXPIRED, and they send us home with and empty bottle of pain medication on a long weekend that they were closed. Had to follow up with a visit to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic where they told us that we lost a week of treatment time that was crucial, and she was probably suffering in her care. Wrote the head of the clinic about my experience after my pet passed away and he responded insensitively with an offer to refund the pain medication. I didn't want money, I wanted my pet to get help. ugh!

The clinic has definitely changed in the last several months. Not only did it undergo a flashy make-over, but staff has changed, different vets etc. Not sure that this has been a good thing or not, maybe change just takes a bit to get used to. Front desk staff hasn't been great lately, but I have dealt with the same tattoo'd covered lady the last couple times who seems to be somewhat inconvenienced by the presence of patients. They were running behind my last couple visits, but was ok with that as there could have been an emergency, but no one really explained why. The new vets aren't quite as savvy or as knowledgable as the old vets who don't seem to be on the window anymore. Something is different there in the last few months, I have been going there for awhile, so will ride it out for a bit and see if it is just my challenges with change or if I actually need a new vet.

They give great care and have awesome staff but a lot of the staff are really big on the up-sell - they didn't use to be. I found it really difficult to determine what was necessary and what was a frill because every time we had a small concern it turned into $500 worth of tests with no results. They are also a bit pricey.

Great facilities and staff, but a bit pricey. Then again, the vets, especially the 2 Scotts and Dr. Paula Fisher are great. No big pressure to get unecessary treatments and they take their time to explain things. Recommended.

While I don't have another vet to compare with, these guys really care about your pet and his/her needs. The clinic had just opened when we started taking our pup. did a wonderful job with neutering, and are happy to clip his toe nails when we go in:)...treats in the waiting room and a nice open reception area make for a happy visit for all!
