I have been taking my pets to Dr. Cohen for the past 25 years. He has been wonderful and his staff, Mattie, Alison, and Amanda are terrific. In my experience, Rick remains the consummate professional: extremely knowledgeable and caring. He is an exceedingly dedicated vet and has done all that is necessary on behalf of my pets, who are family. All of my dogs are and have been rescues. Rick has seen them through so much. I could not have hoped for a better skilled vet with a bigger heart. He is the best.

We have been Taking our fur friends to Dr. Rick: for approximately 15 Years. He has professionally diagnosed and helped them throughout this time. Unfortunately two of our cats passed away due to age and Dr. Rick was extremely compassionate throughout this process.thank you so much for all the good work you've done. You always have been fair as well as offered us options.keep up the good work. I have recommended you to friends and family without any concern.

Dr. Rick Cohen and his staff at the Admirals Walk Pet Clinic are wonderful. We have five animals and Dr. Rick has been their vet for the entire time we have owned them - 15 years. Dr. Rick is very knowledgeable and compassionate. He keeps himself up to date and abreast of all new advancements. He has saved the lives of our pets on numerous occasions with his skill and knowledge. He is personable and has a great sense of humour. His staff of Mattie, Alison and Michelle are very good at their job and are friendly and helpful. I have confidently recommended Dr. Rick to friends and coworkers. We love our animals and would never entrust them to anyone that was not an excellent vet!

We have been taking our dogs there for several years now, and he has never been correct at anything he has done. He has absolutely no idea about anything. This last time was the last, I knew my girl was really sick and all he said was she looks great, she is supposed be skinny! Her ribs were and spine were sticking out, she was always sick, he said she is just old, she is only 11. He said change her diet and of course sold us the stuff he promotes,then she got really sick. Last week-end we took her to the hospital, she is in KIDNEY-FAILURE!!! I asked Rick for a blood panel about 2 months ago, and he said let me save you money... well we would have found out then she was so sick. I will never send anyone to him, as I really don't think he has a clue.

Professional, accurate, informative, caring, friendly service in a clean, comfortable environment is Admirals Walk Pet Clinic. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Cohen and staff since before the opening of the Admirals Walk Clinic. I have very high expectations for the healthcare of my pets. Never have I been disappointed with Admirals Walk. Dr Cohen always takes his time with examinations and has no difficulty referring cases to a specialist. In a recent emergency situation, the quick, thorough assessment and immediate follow up actions taken by Dr Cohen saved the life of my dog in September, 2013. Dr Cohen and staff have always been very accommodating and helpful. They continuously show great compassion and always present us with options. Dr. Cohen always puts the animals needs first. Alison and Mattie are very knowledgable about flea products and pet foods.

Dr. Cohen is a very intuitive man who cares THOROUGHLY for the animals who come into his care. He will give you answers that are TRUE answers; this man very clearly knows his stuff. No beating around the bush. His staff is very caring and friendly; the next day after our cat had to come in for treatment they called up out of the earnest need to follow up and see how she was doing. I will continue to visit this clinic, and I will absolutely recommend it to others.

incompetent, mis diagonosed my dog on several points had him tested for thyroid because he was well behaved and Dr Cohen didnt think it was right for a big dog not to react when he leant over him !!! he thought this was un natural, got charged for many drugs my dog didnt need. wouldnt go here again

I have gone to Admirals Walk Pet Clinic for many years with several pets. My experience has always been first rate. Frankly, I am not sure why some people think they know enough about veterinary medicine to be critical of someone's skills or ability. This doctor and his staff have definitely earned my complete confidence, as both the care and advice provided have been consistently excellent. As for cost, I have found this clinic comparable to others. Furthermore, the doctor has always given me options; and, leaves the decision with me. I would not hesitate to recommend Admirals Walk to anyone who wants the very best for their pets.

Eager to vaccinate your pet to death. If people were vaccinated as much as pets are, we'd all have cancer, too. Still vaccinates cats between the shoulder blades, if you can believe it. His locum is better.

Hi,I am a seven year old yellow lab named Shonna and have been seeing Dr. Rick since I was 8 weeks old, if not for Dr.Rick I don't think I would have seen my 4th birthday. My owners have and will continue to recommend Dr.Rick (he's the best) to friends and family, now I have another condition, but we all know I am going to be just fine with the help of Admirals Walk Pet Clinic staff, Dr. Rick, Mattie and Alison you guy's are awesome.

We had been going to this vet since it opened. Our impression was that although this vet is not overly competent he is ok for routine things. This changed when we had our dog in for routine teeth cleaning. He quoted a price of $350 and said maybe one extraction was needed. This turned out to be over $1300 and he pulled 11 teeth without so much as a follow up phone call to prepare us. . The bill stated extensive cleaning required. How can you pull out all those teeth and then try and charge for extensive cleaning. Compared to the vet we go to now we realize he gave minimal effort and treatment while overcharging for his service,

Misdiagnosed my dog with a skin allergy when what he really has was lice. Another vet who substituted for him while he was on vacation diagnosed it properly.

Doctor Rick Cohen and his staff are great and genuinely care about your pet. I have always taken my pets to Doctor Rick Cohen. He knows his stuff and is not just concerned about making money. I even recommended him to a friend who was so happy I did and also speaks highly of Doctor Cohen.

The doctor, I don't remember his name, is a complete hack He totally man-handled our 15 year old cat and within a short visit he made what turns out to be 4 incorrect diagnoses ... do not bring your cat there!

We have been clients of Admirals Walk for about 6 years. Dr.Rick an his staff have been exceptional in their help and efforts. We are so very sorry to have to leave but due to time constraints and work and location we are having to change our Vet. It is all to do about us and nothing about the wonderful people at Admirals Walk. We are so sorry to go, but can't say enough good things about them and the clinic itself. It is impeccably clean and cheery and a good place to be.Thank you all so much for everything you have done over the past 6 years. The Vet here at Admirals is wonderful & caring to the animals that come in to his clinic. I went for the first time, as he wasn't my regular vet & the staff & everyone at this clinic was so nice & even checked up after as well, to see how my animal was. Which was a surprise as the regular vet I had at the time @ the Oak Bay Pet Clinic never once even phoned to check up on mine, not even after a surgery, mine had at one point. So if you are looking for a good vet who cares, then I recommend you going to this one at Admirals as you won't be disappointed, promise.
