Unfortunately, I will not be returning here again after taking my cat to this vet for the past six years. I now realize Dr. Damant isn’t a good fit for us at all. I put revolution on my cats neck as per usual and the next day all his hair in that area was completely gone and he had an open, perfectly round wound. Took him in and long story short she said that it was a wound from a cat fight, although he did not go outside at all and is the only cat in our house. Revolution paid for the services (as they should) although the vet was short, rude, and barely looked me in the eyes to have a conversation. She tried to say it was caused by anything but the revolution without having facts or evidence or even the slightest clue for that matter. I’m super disappointed in the minimal level of care she provided and her hostility towards me. Her assistants are great and careful, And I Hate to write a bad review, but geez.

A terrible, awful clinic where the Vet and owner, Dr.Damant, showed no care for my dogs life and performed a horrible job on my dogs last surgery. She is so rude and arrogant, she wouldn't even come consult with me after my dog was released from a veryajor surgery. I would steer very far and clear away from this place!! You will be sorry.

Dr. Angela Damant completely misdiagnosed my dog. My dog was having a hard time making a bowel movement. After a very vague examination (less than 30 seconds of externally examining my dog), Dr. Damant insisted that my dog had an enlarged prostate and that putting him under to castrate him was the only solution. Luckily, I got a second opinion and found out that she was wrong. He ended up having a hernia, and it was confirmed that he did not have an enlarged prostate. He his now doing much better with his new diet and meds. After reading many other reviews, it seems as if this isn't the first time she has done something like this. I implore you, do NOT use her services.
Dr. Damant was impatient, rude, misinformative, and doesn't seem to have a true heart for caring for animals. It seems as though it's all about the money for her, and not about taking the time to thoroughly examine the animals.

Went for a second opinion they went over everything in detail and explained much more to use than anywhere else. They also did not tell use to re run a bunch of tests that others told us should be re run. Very happy with the service.

This clinic was our horror story..we took our dog just to get her nails clipped..woman came from the back, took her behind a closed door and my pup, for the first time ever, I heard her screeches in pain..I wanted to go in the room but was told no, "they don't like getting nails cut..." When she came out, she was shivering, and I was so incensed at the lack of compassion and care.Would NEVER return..that was a few years ago...Thankfully we found alternate superb care for her ..but this experience left us very cautious..I still get angry driving past this building..

Took my rat for a checkup, vet and assistant handled her so roughly she was SCREAMING. My rat is well-behaved, and has NEVER bitten or shown any aggression, this was completely unnecessary. I've never heard such a heartbreaking sound. Didn't let me hold my pet after or put her back in her carrier after exam was done. Was very unhelpful in diagnosing problem, yet pretended to know about rats. Did not explain anything at all. I will not put my pet through that again, and will definitely see a different vet if we have any health issues come up. Go somewhere, ANYWHERE else for small pets.

My dog had a growth surgically removed at this clinic. Four months later I telephoned because I was concerned about the suchers still in my dogs chest. I spoke with two staff members who both argued that disolving suchers could take up six months or longer to disolve.I informed them I did my research about disolving suchers and 5 month is to long. Both argued that I was wrong and if I was concerned I should bring my dog into the clinic. After several minutes staff located paper file that confirmed sucher removal was not required.Staff accused me of being confused and they questioned why I did not call sooner. The two staff members were argumentive and they claimed disolving suchers can take six months or longer to disolve. The staff are not sensitve to pet owners. Post surgery care is poor at this clinic.I think procedures lack professional practice (knowing what kind of sucher is used is a given with most Dr.) I did not get quality care for my pet.

my experience with this vet is that they are honest and affordable. Unlike some other local vet's they understand that not everyone is rich. My children don't eat steak everyday and neither do our pets. Where other local vets make you feel guilty if you can't afford to buy the best of the best, this vet consider's your budget and doesn't try to force the sale of flea treatments and other things that are not essential. (we use a holistic flea treatment that works wonders - I don't need revolution at $15 a pop for our three pets.) They were very compassionate when we had to put down a pet, and took the time to answer all of my sons questions when he saved a cat through the SPCA.

I took my dog to see this vet after he developed a left sided facial paralysis . I even specifically asked if it was because of a middle ear infection . She said absolutely not and didn`t even look in his ears or take his temp , instead ordered an expensive blood test . 4 weeks later the paralysis continued and we were in Vancouver when something just burst in my dog`s ear ( yep the facial paralysis side) and it was leaking the most foul smelling pus you could imagine . Luckily i took my dog to a vet in vancouver and $700 and a surgical intervention under anaesthetic later he is diagnosed with a rip roaring ear infection which could now be in the cartilidge of the middle ear because it festered for 4 weeks . Maybe if she`d listened to me and looked in the ear we would not be in this position now . Maybe the facial nerve may have been saved with prompt treatment . Can`t imagine the pain my dog suffered because of her sloppy exam . I shall NEVER darken this vet`s door again !!!

Once they decided not to offer after hours emergency service, they lost my office hours business.

BAD doesn't cover it. Vet has no 'bedside manner'. Rude, uncaring, and can't believe she is a vet. Dr. Aylard (the previous owner who retired) was wonderful and she is a complete opposite. My dog had something in his throat, was struggling to breathe all night, went there and she did not even talk to me but whispered "tell her she's going to have to wait". A back up of patients, running late, puts muzzles on my dogs to give shots, but nothing occurred where she would have to muzzle them. Didn't want to take the time to treat them with a calm and caring approach. Just pushing the patients through. Walked into a exam room without even approaching my dog and stuck a thermometer up his anus without him seeing her. Had to put my old dog down and she couldn't find a vein had to get an assistant to do it. LEFT AND NEVER WENT BACK. HORRIBLE, UNCARING, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL. SHOULD WORK IN A MEAT PROCESSING FACILITY IF SHE SHOULD BE WORKING AT ALL.
